Whenever…read morethere was a repair necessary for an appliance it was the Sears guy coming out to do the job. I understood why, they would do the job right be courteous and fix the problem on the first visit. Naturally I have remained loyal because as a kid the appliances always worked. I also really liked that the sales team were mature enough to actually own appliances and knew them inside and out they would mention the pros and cons and they had pride in their product and company. I have gone with Kenmore Elite for two of my homes and that's all appliances, refrigerator, stove, Dishwasher, washer, dryer and even Microwave. These appliances are expensive. I have purchased the longest extended warranties to be able to have annual preventative maintenance performed and repairs if necessary without additional expense. These warranties are costly but in my opinion offer more controlled expense then uncovered repairs. Sears used to come out and do very thorough PM's. In more recent years not so much. The technicians used to be so respectful like the employees at Chick-fil-a, addressing you as sir and talking to you with pride in the self and their company. Never made an excuse for something that went wrong. Two years ago at my one house I was having a problem with one of my appliances and when the repair technician was out he said that feature was really a waste of your money so my response was I went with your Elite brand to seek the better product, his response was all the appliances are made overseas and the same with just different names. So he left not repairing anything just saying that was not a good feature. You know the feature I spent more money to have. He was also rude, impolite, messy and wreaked of cigarettes. Basically a nasty guy. I felt berated and have lived without that feature even though I had 3 more years on that costly extended warranty. When replacing appliances at my beach house I did not get the extended warranty cause I didn't need to be berated again. Had an issue just after the warranty expired with one of those extra features it working. This call of course was cash. The technician who was at least nicer the then other identified how to fix the issue and with the parts and labor the repair was $380.00. I suppose the same amount the first technician saved the warranty company and Sears for my first experience? Now my 3k+ refrigerator Sears Kenmore Elite is not making ice in the volume it used to. So a guy comes out looks in the ice bin and says"you have ice" I explained yes but it has not been used in 16 hours and is less then half full. So he pulls out the ice cube tray spilling the water all over the refrigerator, floor and area. He then says there's nothing wrong with it. I said can you check the water pressure or the temperature? There is something different now then when it was making adequate ice for my two person household that dines out more then half of all meals. He pulls out the freezer drawer a little bit and says oh you have ice back there near the vents. Ice I asked, yes he says you have to defrost the freezer. I ask it's a self defrosting freezer. He says they all say that. He then says defrost your freezer and maybe it will help. No temp checks, no water line, filter or pressure checked and basically trashed Sears, the Elite brand and again made me feel stupid. Was I supposed to yell and scream? That's not me anymore life is too short. So when Sears asked by way of robo phone calls and emails they kept wanting a opinion or review of the service call I said I was not happy and feel betrayed by Sears. Did someone follow up, did they really care, well a human being called and I thought ok maybe I am a valued customer. How silly. It was Sears calling to ask me to again pay to extend my warranties that are expiring in 6 months because it is so important and valuable to have. I Will NEVER walk into a Sears store again. I will however sit back sadly and enjoy seeing those Sears employees, repair technicians and management continue to dwindle aw

So the next day I went back.It wasn't the same guy working and he said i had to bring it back when the manager was there so i go back again and i see the so called manager and she proceeded to tell me she is sorry that here store sold me a damaged water pipe BUT, she cant exchange it or refund my money because thats their policy... i said so im stuck with a water pipe i cant use?? She says agaian im sorry it's store policy. Avoid these thieves save your money and goto any other store where they are not selfish and greedy. Go to a head shop where the customer comes first the way it should be. Oh and she says clearly you can see there was product in the waterpipe i said no thats water thats not supposed to be in with the product it doesnt work cause the water doesn't stay in the chamber of the pipe it goes straight into the bowl cause it has a hole inside the chamber like wow really? So i gave it back told her to keep it clearly they need the $16.00 more then i needed a working waterpipe if they are ripping people off like this. There are plenty of smoke shops where the customer is treated better then the stores wallet. Total waste of time an money.
