This is a neat show. Small theater with comfortable atmosphere. The actors were very interactive with the audience and greeted the people afterwards. The show was very funny and family oriented also. My little girls age 5-6 loved it. This is a show we will plan to go see again sometime!!

It was very funny and entertaining but also made fun of religious practices in a kind way. The performers were outstanding. We were here for Sanders Family Christmas. This was SO MUCH FUN! The characters are perfectly cast. It is a church meeting during which you will not fall asleep! lol There are moments of great music, nostalgia, humor, seriousness, romance! So much happens in such a short evening performance. This is farce at its finest with highly talented musicians and actors. Based on revivalist worship in the Great Smoky Mountains in the 1930's, this comedic musical farce keeps the audience involved and entertained. Sing along and shout amen! read more

SO GOOD AND SO FUNNY!!!! This show is HILARIOUS!!! This was the first time the family had seen this show. We should have come sooner! The show is very interactive with the audience. Kids laughed so hard and loved the music. The Dialogue and jokes with the audience who play along and the gospel harmonies are wonderful! Plus the audience sings right along with them anytime they want! June is hilarious with her sign language. My mom and stepdad laughed so hard they were literally holding their sides. Dennis is so endearing and heartfelt, and Denise is the perfect mix of problem child/and sweetheart. We loved every second of this show!!! read more

This show is one of my favorite in Branson. It's hilarious! If you enjoy old time gospel music and good humor, this show is for you!! Chris Stanley as the preacher and the other cast members make this show great. Been to it 4-5 times and will be going back. My teens even liked it...and that's saying something! read more

I have seen this show in several different places in the country, but "Smoke On the Mountain" in Branson is THE BEST ONE!!! The young man who plays the preacher is the best I have ever seen. He is so funny and has a wide variety of facial expressions that no one else can mimic. We saw this show before in Branson, and went back again just so we could watch "the preacher" again. We were entertained all through the show by the cast and laughed all the way through it. If I lived close enough, I would watch it every day. read more

Simply, just go, laugh, enjoy and listen to professional talent in acting, singing, instrumental (the bass and guitar picker are top drawer). The cast is extremely strong. You really can't find a better deal for the dollar in Branson. Small intimate theater and large talent cast make this show well worth your time! read more

We got close parking to the building and near the exit. When you enter; we went to the right side of the building. Once we got there, we took a picture in front of the building. Inside, we weren't rushed to go to the bathroom & get some concessions. We sat in the upper deck in the middle. Specifically, row KK seats 53 & 54. I've been to Sight and Sound 2 other times and sat in the lower seats... I think I would prefer to sit lower.... Up top, we could see everyone's phones on, people having to stand up and leave- which I know is so picky of me but I would pay the extra money to sit lower. I will say, a perk of sitting up top is the bathrooms and exit way to the lobby that is quicker to exit & way less crowded! The only thing is concessions aren't served upstairs (I think, not for sure on this) We saw David! My theological nerd of a husband had some beef with wanting more exposition especially with Solomon and the temple but I thought it was great use of the limited time they have! They walked us through his young boy years, Samuel anointing him, his relationship with Saul & Jonathan, hiding in the cave, becoming king, Bathsheba, and ended with his confrontation with Nathan and a redemption song. The emphasis was on David wanting to know God's heart and be known by God intimately. Really spoke to me personally in this season. I do think seeing Jesus was my favorite because it's the gospels. My husband says his favorite is Esther. But honestly, anything you see will be good. The ushers are amazing! They were keeping an eye out on anyone who needed anything-even working in the pitch dark to escort parents or children out. They have quiet rooms for families in the back & good seating for those in wheelchairs or anything else. At the end of the show, they have cast members and S&S staff available to pray with anyone who needs anything & they do an altar call for salvation, which is EPIC! They give space for people to encounter God and be walked through prayer.

We discovered The Petersens through YouTube about six months ago, and our entire family has fallen in love with their music. We also adore who they appear to be as people. In person, they were just as genuine as they appear online. We very much enjoyed meeting them and seeing them perform. Our children go around the house singing Petersens songs. Well, maybe not just the children. It was a thrill for all of us to attend their show. There were new songs and pleasant surprises, but also enough familiar tunes that we love so much. There were also plenty of laughs. My wife pointed out to me later that the show ended up being an hour and forty-five minutes long. Wow! The time flew by. The musicianship, arrangements, and harmonies stand out to me more than anything. They are so good! Please go check out their show if you can. Even if you are someone who doesn't know their music, I am confident that you would enjoy the experience.

Sounds was fantastic and it has the wow factor we were hoping for. The parking wasn't as plentiful as we hoped for but we made it work and don't have any huge problems. I loved the massive already decorated Christmas tree the beginning of November and the rich feel of the lobby. The snack ladies seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people and the lines were long but the prices weren't as criminal as most shows I have gone to. A hot dog was $4 and a chicken sandwich was $7. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained and there were comfy couches and places to charge your phone in a pinch. In the VIP balcony there was a plug right in front of my friends chair which helped us not lose connectivity at a long event.

From where we started at the White River Landing, everything was smooth and well organized. The landing itself is charming, especially in the evening with string lights and a couple of shops designed to match the showboat's vintage aesthetic. There was a dedicated priority boarding line for Captain's Club guests that started on time and before general admission, so we avoided any wait. Staff efficiently guided us through boarding (complete with photo opportunity with an option to purchase later) and to our seats in the dining area. The dining experience was outstanding thanks to our attentive server and other dining staff. With Captain's Club, we enjoyed a menu to choose from, were served ahead of the general admission guests, and the food arrived quickly. During dinner, the show with the Rivertown Ramblers was energetic, also well-organized, and highly entertaining. The talented vocalists and musicians delivered a fantastic performance. The combination of the scenic cruise, great food, priority service, and live entertainment made for a memorable evening and one of the highlights of our Branson trip. I highly recommend the Showboat to anyone visiting and definitely upgrade to Captain's Club if you can.

It was fun moving around and feeling some water and being emerged in the experience. However, the graphics were awful. The video was blurry. Afterwards we went into the exhibit and a lot of it was run down. Shattered screens or out of order on some things. The area for selfies was a bit confusing. There would be games and then a random exhibit on Reagan or Big Foot. It was all awkward and did not flow together like one would expect. We didn't spend as much time here as we thought we would. To be honest my teenager was waiting for us on a bench at the end. It was not worth the price of admission.

This "old timey" roadshow is packed full with comedic, characters, and surprises. The songs are right out of an old hymnal. Each character has their own comedic country gold. For me, there was two major drawbacks. The set was to minimal for my liking and the theater itself is the size of a off, off, off, off broadway show theater.
