Literally one of my favorite places to go and have drinks. The wings and shrimp are consistently good. Always fresh and served hot. Nice portions for the price. The owner is cool. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. The crowd is chill. read more

I would rate the establishment a 3/5. I went to hear music and eat! The food, the lobster in particular was delicious, the shrimp not so much. I felt like the shrimp was artificial maybe from a bag not fresh shrimp. The atmosphere itself was cool, staff friendly, music I wanted more of today's r&b or rap hits! Old school music was played and some House music, I don't like house music. And my food took about 25 minutes to come out. Everybody else at my table had their food before me. Okay. read more

I ordered a hamburger and fries. After waiting almost two hours, I received it. It had a big bun with all the trimmings but the patty was burnt, it was small and It was also as hard as a hockey puck. If I had looked at it before I left, I would never have paid for it! I threw it in the gar read more

That is S.S., Superb Service.. bartender did an amazing job we were looking 4 a decent place 2 go 2 that played music where we can juke 2 n maybe do a few steps.. place had food 2 where the cook personally delivered it 2 u.. I guess since we got here around the evening time unexpectedly that we r going 2 have dinner here as well.. so I had a burger that was cooked perfectly that needed seasoning.. onion rings instead of fries were good.. my wife's wings were super big, she enjoyed them but the 4 stars r mostly 4 the entertainment n service; although, the DJ played some decent selection n a variety of House, 90s/2000s Rap/R&B, a lot of the sound quality was in mono.. it's like 1 song can b in stereo n another song is in mono.. n it was like that in every other song + it was hard 2 the ears b/c he needs 2 lower the treble in many of his songs.. this comes from a retired DJ myself.. also he was easy 2 read as I was able 2 predict wat he was going 2 play next.. but even though saying that we had a great time cracking up good drinks n Crunk Time read more

I went there for a birthday party. The crowd was nice and the music was on point. I had the chicken wings and fries and everything tasted delicious. I will be going back. read more

Went out on a Saturday night with my family and we had a blast!!! Nice, laid back ambiance!! It was a busy Saturday night and our bartender Meka managed to hold us down!! No slip ups on the check and they use REAL LIQUOR!!! (Y'all know why I'm saying that). The owner wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty... I noticed him pitching in at busy moments! Oh and I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad.... When I tell you it was so good!! I didn't even use the dressing!!! Ok!!! Good job!!! Please keep it up! read more

This is one of those hidden gems! A great neighborhood destination with the right amount of lighting, tables and a well stocked liquor selection!! Did I mention the food selection? The Fried Lobster Tail had me at hello! Great sauce selections and the chicken wings are FIRE! The owners were gracious and welcoming and set the mood for a great dining experience. Will be a go to destination for years to come...Where everyone knows your name! Offering curbside delivery during these weeks of quarantine. read more

A neighborhood lounge mostly for an older crowd about 30s. Small room with a bar, sitting area, a little dancing space, and a VIP section about the size of two closets. Staff was friendly and food was delicious. I got the chicken and shrimp fries, it was good and well seasoned. My friend had the wings and since she wasn't sharing I guess they were delicious ‍. House music at first and modern hip hop and rap towards midnight. Ppl were nice but if you're a young crowd be prepared to receive stares lol. May not return back cause not my scene but if you want to chill close to home with good food and an older crowd, I'd say give this place a try. Still don't know why it's called smoke filled room read more

Awesome atmosphere, great staff and karaoke. But if you eat, order your food upon arrival and "maybe" you'll get it two hours later. Was with a date my food came out 15 minutes earlier than his. They gave us a wing (yes, just one) for inconvenience. Anyway I enjoyed myself. Undecided if I'll give them another try read more

I had a wonderful time at Smoke Filled Room. The ambiance was nice & there is street parking & a parking lot. It appeared to cater to 30 & older "urban" crowd. My sorority sisters and I went on Thursday for Karaoke night. The KJ was funny. We had a lot of fun! Drinks were priced competitively. And the food was GREAT! I had the Rock lobster & shrimp combo! Although I'm not a fan of Rock lobster(I prefer Maine), it tasted very good! The seasoning was perfect!! I will be coming back!! read more

Did carry out for food. Portion size was big and the food flavorful. The only downside is the fact that almost everything on the menu is fried. read more

The food was terrible!! I got wings, shrimp, and a fried lobster tail. The chicken wings we so undercooked!! We couldn't even eat them. But we were catching a movie & didn't have time to wait any longer. It took them about 40 mins for the food & it was under cooked ‍. The fried green tomatoes were so greasy!! We were only getting food to take-out. But the crowd was definitely an older crowd around 40-60yrs old. They were playing old school music. It was like a rachett spot for old people to go. I won't be back. read more

I've visited the SFR on several occasions and always have had a great time. The atmosphere is very nice. Maybe on ONE occasion, it was over crowded but I think that was for a few birthday parties on the same night. The drinks are great and my music is always good 9 times out of 10. Security has never been an issue. The crowd is usually a more mature 30+ crowd which I love because sometimes too many young people can change the atmosphere. Even though its a small spot, overall I give the SFR 5 stars because I love the atmosphere, food and drinks. The owner and his wife are always a pleasure to meet and chat with. read more

I went to this place after a friend of mines recommended. Get to the bar took me 30 mins to order despite there being 4 bartenders and few people in front of me. I was told 1 price and charged for another. However, this was my first time here and I wanted to give them a try. Okay now I'm having my cocktail and convo with my friend vibing to the music. Now I see food orders I coming from the kitchen so I ask for a menu. Just to be told I'm taking orders personally by the owner. I asked can I place a order he told me kitchen was closed despite him taking order from a selected group of people. Nevertheless to say I will not be back nor will I recommend. read more

This place is a whole vibe! Music, food, and vibe is amazing! Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Was looking for a simple spot not too far from home to grab a drink and spend some time ending the work week when this place was suggested. Stopped in at about 8pm last night (Friday) and had a nice time. --The space is clean, nothing too fancy but definitely not just a hole in the wall either. The area where it's located seems quiet and was clean as well. It is a smaller space, but not tiny. There's the bar area, tables for eating, and also a sitting area w/ lounge chairs. -A definite plus is that there is a rather large menu (as far as small bars go) to order from. I decided on the fried shrimp ($10) and my boyfriend got the taco trio (jerk steak and chicken$6). The food was great, def no complaints. -Our server/bartender was super friendly and heavy handed=)She suggested two drinks and shots for us and we weren't disappointed. Our drinks were abt $10 each, well priced, not watered/juiced down. All in all, it's a nice little neighborhood spot and I'd def come here again. read more

Awesome place the food is amazing the DJ is amazing the staff is great and the drinks OMG you just gotta check it out ya self...

EXCELLENT Drinks and Food Superb. Great location and atmosphere. I'll be back. You wont be disappointed.

I've always gone in and eaten. But because I was getting over being sick and just gaining an appetite, I order food to be delivered to me. Big mistake. I received cold food. I order chicken tacos, a shrimp basket and a house salad. I just wasted $30 something bucks and I'm pissed. Not sure if they changed the batter they used for the shrimp but they aren't good anymore, the fries were disgusting, and the tacos had more onions on them than meat.... Where's the chicken???? What happen to the cilantro. Did they forget they said cilantro comes on the tacos. And the house salad, Lawd have mercy. It's a never again for me. read more

called to make reservations to eat by the manger Terrance for 1am he told me the menu and said I will see you here. I arrive after getting off work for the waiter who wasn't attentive to the bar to tell me the kitchen is not only close but Terrance also left for the day. what upsets me more I told him that it was father's day gift . thanks for messing up something I wanted to treat a father too read more

My twin brothers had their 90's party here last weekend and it was a lot of fun. The space is a decent space for a private party, not TOO small but just enough. One of the things I love about this place is they serve food! you don't find to many small bars that serve food (at least I don't because i live in the burbs). But the hot wings are delicious and saucy how i like them. The bartenders were really cool also. The DJ was cool, i think the sounds are a little too loud being that the space is small and the sound waves don't have room to bounce out, BUT he played some of our most favorite 90s hits. The bathroom is clean and up to par as well. If you're trying to throw a pretty party, don't get here if ur expecting a downtown ambiance. It's not trashy it's just not glamorous. Something small or even just a night out with a couple friends or by yourself, this place is perfect for. read more

This is my "Cheers" spot! I love the atmosphere, the food and the drinks. I celebrated my birthday here last year, and have attended several events that they have held. This is also my Sorority Sister and her husbands bar, and I love how they treat everyone that comes in regularly like "Family" and new people they welcome with open arms. There are certain cooks and bartenders that I like over others; but overall, it is a good time, and I go often. read more
