The smog service was so fast, friendly, and efficient compared to the other shops I've used in the area, that I couldn't help but ask if Le might be willing to take on two minor repairs that these cars needed (brake master cylinder replacement and parking brake cable replacement). Really nice guy who runs the shop. You can use a 10 dollar off any service yelp coupon when you check in! Smog checks as of today are 58 bucks, so with the coupon it was 48, and that includes the certificate (smog checks that advertise 30 dollar tests will then charge you like $8.25 on top of that for the certificate!) so while this place may be a little more expensive, if you haven't planned ahead like me, you can probably get in right away! I have been going to Smog X Press for my last three tests. I had been going to various businesses before, switching around based on a coupon here and there. Ever since going to Smog X Press in 2010 I've returned every other year for my tests and plan to do so going forward. Very reasonable in price and very fast -- as someone else mentioned, barely time to read a magazine in the very comfortable & warm waiting room (my appointment is always in winter). And to top it off, the owner is a very friendly and nice man -- he always reminds me when my due date is for registration. I'm glad I discovered this place. I have taken at least 5 cars I've owned and recommended at least that many people to Le, at Smog X-press. Le consistently takes his time, is extremely thorough, and through my experience, more reputable than ANY other automotive engineering and repair, I've used. I once brought a vehicle (from over 65 miles) from Brentwood, after local mechanics claimed it failed Smog. Mr. Le correctly retested and certified that vehicle with simple correction.
