Awesome service. Very fast. Very professional. I bring all my car's here. No where else for smog! 5 stars read more

I got a smog test there and a month later got a dmv notice saying that I didn't get one. I passed the smog test at smog n run but they didn't bother to send the results to the dmv. Now I'm trying to resolve it but they closed the shop near me and my truck is still late in getting tags. It's not like they were a great price, and now they are causing me a big damn headache read more

I called and went to many places this morning, I was told everything from not sure when they will arrive, The guy is on vacation, not sure of the schedule today. Lot of run around. I pulled into smog and run just before he opened. When he opened he had me pull in and he was done in no time. I have an out of state vehicle so he told me I will need a vehicle vin identification done at DMV across the street. He showed me where to go. I pull across the street to DMV , the guy came out and did it. I had everything done in less than a half hour. He was so helpful and probably saved me a lot of time. This is the only place to go. read more

I can't really review the services offered, I can only say that the hours listed here differ from those posted on the front of their building (see attached photo), and when I turned up yesterday morning (June 18), the place was empty and still closed up tight when I left at about 9:20 am -- and when I drove by again at about 10:00 am. I understand that things happen, but it would be helpful if the business owner was able to put a note on the door or otherwise give some indication that they aren't able to open for some reason. read more

Smog N Run - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Gatos, California

In and out in 10 mins (and near coffee shops) what's not to love! Walks ins welcome and they even printed off a recall for my car.

Walked in this afternoon, process was smooth, fast and cost efficient. Service rep was super knowledgeable, friendly and clearly explained everything. Exact experience I would expect and appreciate. read more

Just returned from getting my smog check done here. Not only was the service quick and easy, but the gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable about my other car issues and offered me excellent advice. He even cleaned some paint off of my car for me when I asked what I should use to do it myself! Above and beyond service! read more

Fast in and out in 10mins. Knowledgeable technician. Explained all the steps. Would totally recommend

What the hell is wrong with this place, $100 bucks for a smog check??? Everywhere else charges 60 bucks, this place is double. Save your money and go else wear read more

The team at both locations of Smog N Run were really helpful indeed. I bought an out of state vehicle that, whilst being brand new, needed a smog check. The sensors hadn't fully kicked in due to low mileage but they kept checking the van for me to confirm when it was ready. Awesome guys! Thank you. read more

Did a great job. He also pointed out that my engine has rat poop and told some remedies too. Thankyou

I went here to have my Truck smoged. They were able to fit me in last minute and right before closing. They let me know that my truck would not pass, explained exactly why, and charged me nothing. The gentleman spent at least 15 minutes on my truck and explaining what was wrong. I was very thankful for the advice, they totally could have charged me if they wanted - but they did not. Very happy with the service read more

Told the technician I had just replaced the battery. Smog N Run tested the car, charged me $108 and the car failed. Apparently all cars fail immediately after battery replacement. This was taking my money for nothing and the technician knew it. read more

Awesome place. 2 weeks back took my car to there, timely and excellent services was provided and the price was fair definitely will come again read more

Went there for a STAR station smog test. They got me in and done very quickly even though I forgot my paperwork. Unfortunately, the bar code on my car was damaged and the machine reader recorded one digit of the VIN incorrectly. Never noticed at the time (who expects to check a 16 digit bar code for accuracy?) Since the DMV couldn't match the VIN to my car I had to go back down for a recheck. They quickly and graciously redid the test at their expense, including paying out of pocket for a new DMV certificate. I think the true measure of a place is what they do when something goes wrong. They excelled. read more

This shop is a disgrace and should not be allowed to continue it's DMV certification. I went there 2 years ago to have my 2014 Outback smogged with a groupon. When done they refused to honor the groupon claiming that it did not cover my Suburu outback which they insisted was listed as a "Truck" and trucks are not included for the discount. I told them that not only does the groupon site not mention any such exclusion but more pertinent was that in no way is a Subaru outback a "truck" in any sense of the word. On my renewal notice it shows it as "SW" for station wagon. When I objected to the guy's assertion he flexed his muscles and got in my face in a threatening manner. Needless to say, I tell anyone who will listen, don't go near this shop. !!!! read more

Easy visit. No line and helped and had car smogged in 10 minutes. Very friendly service.

They charge $108 while their other locations charge less than half of that, you're better off going down to the street to their Campbell location or to another shop all together. read more

Needed a smog check to renew my registration. Very friendly and helpful service. I would recommend this place to anyone needing smog done. Quick and easy even without an appointment. This was my second time using them, and worked great both times. I will definitely be back. read more

Called and was told one price, show up and its almost double. I now know why they get bad reviews. Its called bait and switch, and illegal in California. Take your 1 star and suck it. read more

Smog tech did a visual and informed me that he would not pass me due to a 'modified' part. This part is CARB approved and has the sticker attached to prove it, in addition to the attestation in the CA Air Resource Board database that it is approved. Maybe there is a lack of training with the technicians this business employees. On the good side, he told me before he failed me on his *false* observation before taking my money. I went to a different Smog Check station and they passed me without any issues. Just go to the Chevron on Blossom Hill and Los Gatos Blvd and avoid this place. Chevron is cheaper as well... read more

I needed a smog check and I found this spot on Google maps. Through their website was able to get 20% off the price. There was not any other customer when I got there, which was about 1pm on the weekday. They guy was very nice to me, looked at my discount coupon in my phone and ran the smog test. Everything took around 10 min. read more

Bad, bad customer service! Don't go here, there are many other places to choose from! Notice all the reviews seem to either be 1 star or 5? They must pay people to give them a 5 star after they get a 1 star. Don't go here! Seriously, bad customer service that I have experienced and have also witnessed. The person at the counter, name was either Morel or Mehdi, not sure, was rude and literally laughed in a customers face when he had a question why his car failed. The customer was polite and I felt bad for him. Shameful experience and If the owner knows this is going on, this is horrendous. Because they are in a convenient location from DMV, it's like they get enough customers, they don't give a sh*t about people. Another person will take your place. read more

Look for Armando, this guy gave me a reasonable price and got me out quickly as I had melting groceries in my car

Been here twice with two different cars. Fast and efficient. Appreciate that it's so close to home and I'm able to stop by without needing an appointment and get in and out quickly. read more

First, it took me about 20 minutes to find the place - no sign that I could see while driving by. I had been told when I paid online"Paid in Full" but I had to pay $8.25 more after the service was completed. The man doing the work was no help at all. He didn't seem able to help. I surely won't recommend this location to anyone who asks me. read more

this place is a rip off - drive 10 minutes to campbell and save $50 - they could not even connect to my vehicle (no check engine light) and still charged my wife $100 for a test that was not even performed - certainly will be disputing the charge read more

Took about 15 min got the discount price and had them clean my lights (they were yellow and now perfectly clear...it's a miracle! Like magic how good it looks!) and buffed out a area I swiped on my door for no cost. Great people, quick, and know what they are doing! Great service and the best money I have ever spent on my car! read more

Absolutely the rudest person I have ever encountered. I got cussed out and called a bunch of names for trying to get information about smogging an imported car. Seriously go anywhere else. This place is garbage. I can't say I've ever been called fat by a place I was trying to give money to. But yep that happened. read more

If I could go less than one star I would. Terrible customer service, how are they still in business? Ran the smog test only to tell me that I needed a sticker in order to pass. So, why couldn't you have just told me about the sticker and then to come back without charging me? Scummy, greasy, greedy. Avoid this place go literally anywhere else. read more

Went here at 4:40 and i know they close at 5:00 my car wasnt old so it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. Anyway, i asked the guy if he could smog my car and he said their machine is down and cant read bmw at the moment. I knew he was lying because i saw him took the mini. He Couldve just told me he was closing read more

Sonya got us in at the last minute and we were in and out! Thank you so much for the quick, professional help!

They were rude and I won't do business here. I've been a Los Gatos resident for 40 years. Stay away.

Their website says the hours of operation begin at 8am, Google says 8:30..... It is now 8:55 and the doors are locked, no answer when I call. Not sure how this place stays in biz. read more

Smog N Run - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Gatos, California

Most expensive smog check in the world award, with certification it was $108. Why should a smog check cost this much? It doesn't anywhere else. SpeeDee on LG Blvd non coupon price is $69 + certificate fee for the same thing. Why did my husband go here? read more

Called the morning I needed it done and they cAlled back and got me in right away. Great fast service with straight forward communication. Would definitely come back. read more

Great for a quick smog and straight forward chat. Go there on the regular for the whole fleet

This place is a major rip-off! I've used them many times in the past, but went again recently and was told the cost for my vehicle would be $100+. After being told by the technician that Cal State fees had increased significantly for all certified smog services - and that the fee he quoted was now the going rate in the area, I decided to move forward with the service because I was pressed for time - only to find out later that the gas station two blocks away charges $60 for the same type of vehicle. Also, it appears this shop is on its way out and will not be in business much longer. Much of the equipment is old and obsolete, and cannot be used for testing newer vehicles with different requirements. read more
