Typically I play here because it's the only golf course in the area around province Lake. I will not be returning moving forward. If you like single cut grass (no rough, fairway, or first cut), fuzzy greens, and poor hole layouts this course is for you! The "sand traps" are full of rocks so you chance damaging your clubs if you decide to hit out of them. What happened yesterday was absolutely disgusting. A motorcyclist crashed on Province Lake Rd with serious life threatening injuries. EMS and first responders designated the hole 2 fairway as the safest and most efficient place to land the life saving helicopter that was to transport the patient. I went inside to use the phone to let next of kin know their loved one has an accident that occurred and was being medflighted to Maine Med. The clubhouse manager was pleasant and let me use their phone. What I didn't realize was the owner (who bought the course "2 weeks ago" from what the clubhouse manager and ranger had told me) overheard me say the medflight was coming in. After the phone conversation I went back to the staging area. After about 2 minutes a golf cart comes flying up and before the person could even get out of their cart they yelled at the first responders "are you f****** kidding me!!" Throwing his hands up in the air. Before approaching and getting in the face of first responders. After a quick dialogue with first responders he got back in his cart and circled back, looked at me and my mother and said "family or friends?" We said "friends". And he goes "we want med flights to land on the driving range, it's not a business thing there is just waters and restrooms up there if they are needed." Cause we definitely care about restrooms and waters when someone's life is on the line. I informed the ranger who was present and pleasant I planned to post about the owners response in every golf page in New Hampshire and Maine. I believe The ranger did his job and informed the club house manager about my intentions. At this point the clubhouse manager came down became very defensive, back peddling his owners response by saying "he's only been here 2 weeks he doesn't know how these things work" and began to be condescending saying "is your friend getting the help he needs" and the answer was "yes but no thanks to the golf course" Needless to say. This place is an absolute joke of a course and piss poor display of how to deal with traumatic issue. Maybe the owner should get out of the hospitality business if he can't deal with these situations

So I had 12 friends of mine up for a boys weekend away and to announce to the all that I was getting married again. What better way to celebrate than to golf right, it's what guys do. Well real men that is... This isn't true, golf isn't a tough sport, in fact if you are good at it, you are probably a spoiled little brat who didn't have to work hard. All bits aside, this place is gorgeous, it's 8 minutes from my house in Meredith and at the top of a hill. You pass the town recycling center, a cemetery and a bunch of beautiful homes to get to it. The fees are good, the people are kind and greens are in great shape. The course really is gorgeous, hills upon hills, greenery and some beautiful reservation type spots that have all the nature and wonder. Lot of granite and woods as well, I know this because this is where my balls usually end. I also checked out the function room for my upcoming wedding and the only thing that is preventing me from having it here is the room size, it only holds 200 and most likely 175 comfortably. That said, I will have twice that at my wedding and I am sad about this, because I absolutely loved the room. It's a barn type setting with an amazing stone fireplace in the center of it and beautiful wooded bar.
