I originally found another locksmith on Craigslist York PA and went to their website on Sunday night. I found that their hours were M-F, 9A-5:30P. There was an online form to complete to contact the company with a message to provide details of services needed. I completed the form and message box requesting immediate services upon their opening. I never heard from them on Monday, so I used Yelp and found Smith's Locksmith, in Dallastown. I was immediately impressed by their 24-hour, 7-day a week coverage. When I telephoned Smith's Locksmith, Glenwood Smith, the owner, answered his mobile phone and I began to explain that I had a Sentry Safe combination style that I was unable to open; the door was jammed. I asked if his company performed safe opening services. He asked if I needed the services performed today, being Tuesday now. I indicated that I did need the service performed today. He took my information and said he would fit me into his schedule, but was unable to provide an exact time. I told him that it was okay, just to telephone me 15-minutes before his arrival and I would have someone available at the residence to meet with him. It was toward the end of day before Glenwood arrived, but I was so happy he showed-up. I read on his website that his company has been in business since 1967, so I knew they were reliable and if he said he would fit me in his schedule he would do what he said he would do. Even though, he had an exhausting and full day of labor, he arrived chipper and friendly; very talkative. He easily opened the safe. It was what I'll refer to as "Operator Error." He charged me less than what he quoted me over the telephone since he didn't have to drill the safe. He was very detail-oriented in explaining the types of safes, combination and digital locking systems. I would highly recommend using Smith's Locksmith for any of your locksmith services.
