Usually I never have negative things to say about this store, as I'm a regular customer and always…read moresatisfied. But yesterday I had one of the worst experiences with an employee. As a mother who lives about 45 min away, I have a strict schedule to get my groceries for the 2 weeks, and obviously a budget so, I get what I need to get to feed my family of 5. Now, I've never had any employees belittle me for the amount of groceries I get until yesterday. I encountered a male employee, wears glasses. time stamp on my receipt is 5:20 Jan 30, 2026. I DO have his name. But I won't post it. He embarrassed me in front of customers, because of how much groceries I had. And was irritated because of the amount he had to scan.i understand that the line was getting long, but what I don't understand why he couldn't open up another lane. I've seen other employees do it . Every time I had something come out of the cart he went "are you serious?" In an irritated voice. And when I looked at him seeing if it was me he was speaking to, he gave me a disgusting look. I ignored it and continued to put my groceries on the line. And then he said either "goddamn or dammit" the more I took out of the cart. As I was about to pay he kept giving me attitude so I said "why are you giving me attitude?" He goes "I mean DO YOU BLAME ME??" And when I payed he looked at the customer behind me and said "I'm So sorry about the wait" as if I had done something wrong. I believe he's also a manager there, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyway I hope he doesn't treat other customers that get groceries for the week that way.

Palisade peaches (my favorite) were still for sale, so I bought 8 large ones to the tune of $14+. Got home and was looking forward to sinking my teeth into one, and all 8 were spoiled. Threw them all away. They had several boxes still for sale. It's time to get rid of those things...too late in the season. I should have known better, but fresh peaches are my weakness. However.....everything else I've ever gotten from there is fresh, tasty and wonderful! I'd recommend going if you're looking for good produce. But be aware of off season fruits/veggies....

I always…read morepressure cook my corn in my Instant Pot electric pressure cooker and it's fabulous - tender and delicious. If you happen to get a bad cob or it has a worm they will replace it. Often when you buy a dozen, they'll put a "baker's dozen" (13) in the bag. To butter it, generously butter a piece of bread, put corn cob holders in the ends of the cob and roll the corn in the butter. This technique gets more butter on the cob than trying to butter the cob of corn with a knife. I frequently make one of my favorite soups, potato corn cheese chowder. I think I provided a copy of the recipe to Gaeddert for their cookbook. In addition to corn, the farm stands have other produce. This summer I had some juicy, delicious peaches.

Our biggest thing that people tell us when we talk about price is, "Oh, we could not spend that." We have noticed that we seem to get sick a lot less and our health is better. How can one put a price on your health? Jako is worth it.
