The same layout with produce as the first aisle, commercial bakery, boxed and canned dry goods, deli, dairy, meat and fish and frozen. It's the same store, the same stuff, the same service. Consistent in a good way because I always know that I can find my keto bread that only ALDI sells. Remember to bring your deposit for the cart and your reusable shopping bags or you can grab a box from the shelves to carry your stuff out. The cashier won't bag your stuff. Threw them all away. They had several boxes still for sale. It's time to get rid of those things...too late in the season. I should have known better, but fresh peaches are my weakness. However.....everything else I've ever gotten from there is fresh, tasty and wonderful! I'd recommend going if you're looking for good produce. But be aware of off season fruits/veggies....

We decided to take that 40 minute drive and pick up some of their meats this weekend. At first, I wasn't seeing anything that screaming my name -- but upon my 2nd trip around their store I noticed a variety of 'Free Samples'. So I tried their Salsa and it was pretty good. We can it at home so I didn't purchase any. They had 3 different types of Sausages on a Griddle to try. They looked intriguing, but I had just eaten! What grabbed my attention was their 'Amish Wedding' line of products. They had afew items by the Cash Register to sample. I tried one of their Sweet Gherkins. I was walking away to catch up with Hubby when the heat started to kick in!! Yum! I ran back and grabbed a jar!! We went into their Retail area and looked at their goods. Lamps, Pictures, Quilts, etc. They had some Pancake Syrups and Popcorn Oils and Toppings on that side of the store. Hubby suggested a Ham Steak for dinner -- so we returned to the Meat Cases. I ended up picking up a pkg of Baby Back Ribs for next weekend and a small pkg of Canadian Bacon . Hubby was looking through their Smoked Cheeses and selected a Smoked Cheddar and Bacon. I wished after we left that I had chosen the Smoked Horseradish Cheese, but I am on a diet that includes no Dairy or Gluten. Speaking of which, they have a very small Gluten Free section. They did have some intriguing jars of Preserves and Pie Fillings, but we didn't pick any of those up on this trip. They have a Deli Case and some freshly made Pies and Cinnamon Rolls. Often when you buy a dozen, they'll put a "baker's dozen" (13) in the bag. To butter it, generously butter a piece of bread, put corn cob holders in the ends of the cob and roll the corn in the butter. This technique gets more butter on the cob than trying to butter the cob of corn with a knife. I frequently make one of my favorite soups, potato corn cheese chowder. I think I provided a copy of the recipe to Gaeddert for their cookbook. In addition to corn, the farm stands have other produce. This summer I had some juicy, delicious peaches.
