Although they did a good job with my filing last year, this year has been a total disappointment…read more I contacted them by the end of January to get an early kickstart and avoid leaving this to the last minute. They asked me to send the documents as soon as they were available. After a while, when asked if they needed anything else, the answer I received in March was, "We will know when the returns are being prepared." meaning they didn't start at all. As a follow-up, I asked them if it would take some time; I could try to find someone else while there was still time. So surprisingly their response was, "Feel free to find someone else". This last response summarizes how they value their clients. I only gave them an additional star because they managed the situation better last year. If you're an individual client, avoid them at all costs.

I run my own business and he set me up to create and distribute invoices, collections, and everything that it takes to get my billing done. I mean it was a revelation for me to get everything in order and know where it's all going - and More Importantly - where it's coming in from!! Right. They did my taxes and saved me a bunch of money - and listen, I have an undergrad in accounting with a concentration in taxes (4.0 in this area) but I gotta admit - it is / it was and always will be CONFUSING! (Confucius say use Axis to save yourself aches and pains). Okay, maybe too corny. A HUGE Blessing to have these guys really take the time - be extremely patient (I wouldn't be that patient) and take me through the steps of doing my own day to day accounting. At first they did it for me - and then they weaned me out of it by helping me through the steps numerous times. I wanted to do it after a few years when my business became easier. Point is - Contact Axis with Keith - you will Love this guy. He's too easy to deal with and he has a personality. Some accountants you don't know what they're thinking like it's some kind of mystery. Not so with these guys - straight up, reliable, and get the job done by knowing all the angles. INTEGRITY

And then, the stars aligned. I had previously worked with Keith and Alissa in my past life. They were highly regarded throughout the company and were known to get it done. Keith randomly reached out to me asking if I needed help with my books. I jumped out of my chair and said I needed him 6 months ago!! I would hire him as my CFO if I could afford him (I still plan on doing so when I can ;)). I now actually have books that are properly categorized and inventory that is actually booked properly! It's freaking amazing. I can not recommend this firm more to people that are in need of accounting/bookkeeping services!

This includes a technology startup, a real estate property management company, an education non-profit, and a real estate investment fund. Maria is highly skilled in Quickbooks and especially good at setting up a new system including the chart of accounts, the classes and other variables to give me reports that allow me to interpret data to make meaningful decisions. She also handles regular data input (deposits and bills)-- she is fast and careful. She has helped me organize my workflow to make things more streamlined and filing more efficient. She also has a strong fundamental understanding of GAAP and financial accounting which is useful for data entry and proper allocation as well as for reporting, bank reconciliations, and operations. Case in point - In January we just started a new accounting system called Appfolio (not qucikbooks) that does property management and has its own accounting system. We are learning it together and she is a quick study and already has achieved a high skill level in this software. Her understanding of the accounting rules makes it easier for her to handle diverse software systems and unique situations. She is easy to work with, comes on time, doesnt overbill, and gets things done properly. She works at our office and also remotely which is sometimes more convenient for us.
