I recently had Curtis Smith come to my home because of a drainage issue in my backyard. He spent approximately one hour looking at my drainage problem, and then the following week had his guys dig up the dirt around the drains and determined that I would need to have a plumber with a scope to thoroughly see what was causing the problem. It could be roots or dirt. He referred me to a plumber to resolve this problem. When I called Curtis this morning to ask him what I owed him for his time, he said "nothing." He felt that because he wasn't able to fix the drain issue, he wasn't going to charge me. I thought it was very nice of him to spend his time trying to fix the drain issue, and when he couldn't, he referred me to someone that could. I just had Curtis from Smith Landscape re-do my backyard. A few years ago we had our pool filled in. Our yard settled in the spot we had the pool. They came out and in two days had our yard leveled and new seed planted. They were there on time and left my yard neat.
