Instead of working with me to develop and refine my statement as discussed, I later learned that work on my case did not begin until August 1. Now, it appears that the attorney will be drafting the statement herself about my relationship with my husband without first involving me in the process as originally promised. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the work to begin immediately. This delay caused unnecessary stress and undermined my confidence in the representation I was promised. When a legal matter involves strict deadlines, communication and following through on commitments are essential.
