The gentlemen just wasn't friendly its all about how you communicate with people and I would never trust them to handle a case for me. He is by far the most passionate lawyer I've ever encountered -- zealous, aggressive when needed, and fully dedicated to giving us the strongest defense possible. From start to finish, it was clear that he cared deeply about his craft, his profession, and providing us with the absolute best representation. His representation remains one of the greatest investments and value received to this day! What stood out just as much was the respect he commanded in the courtroom. Even bail bondsmen and court clerks recognized him and noted how he consistently makes prosecutors work hard. That gave me incredible confidence in knowing we had the right person on our side. To this day, I remain blown away by his skill, humility, and thoughtfulness. I only hope he'll still be available if we ever need his services again -- though I wouldn't be surprised to see him rise to even higher levels in his career, which would be well deserved. I highly recommend Yancey Ellis without hesitation.

The best lawyers I have ever worked with! Hiring Jessica…read moreCarmichael was the best decision my family and I could ever make. My brother was accused and eventually charged with marriage fraud, a federal crime, and even though he was and is innocent, the prosecution was dead set on convicting him. When my brother was arrested Jessica was my first phone call and not only had she remembered my brother from a brief consult a year before, but was extremely empathetic to his situation and was ready to help right away. She brought her partner Yancey Ellis to the case and the two of them made a dream team. For the first time in months (and years) I felt I could take a breath and let them take over my fight for my brother. I've had several bad experiences with lawyers and letting go of the reigns and letting the two of them take control was a huge deal and a huge relief because they were kicking ass. Since day one of hiring Jessica and Yancey, they've given it their all and there wasn't a day, email or phone call that went unanswered. They both are very professional, prompt, knowledgeable and heavily involved in their cases. Not only did they give me peace of mind that my brother's life and future are in good hands but accomplished the ultimate results in a record time. With their amazing work they managed to get the case dismissed by prosecution and release my brother sparing him and our whole family humiliation of the trail. Myself, my brother and our whole family is eternally thankful to Jessica and Yancey!! They rock!

I cannot say enough great things about Elira Law Firm. From start to finish, Mr. Elira, Diamonique,…read moreand Patricia were nothing short of exceptional. As a single mom of three, going through a divorce is emotionally overwhelming, and they truly understood my circumstances. They didn't treat me like just another case number .. they treated me like a human being and fought tooth and nail to make sure my children and I were heard. Because of their dedication and advocacy, my divorce case was settled in my favor, and for that I will always be grateful. What stood out most was their honesty and transparency throughout the entire process. Even coming in with paralegal certifications and initially thinking I could handle things on my own, I am SO glad I retained this firm. Mr. Elira went above and beyond, exceeding every expectation and advocating for me in ways I couldn't have done alone. Diamonique is truly the sweetest and anyone who has dealt with billing departments knows how rare that is. She was patient, kind, and always made me feel at ease. Patricia put in WORK .. she made sure I did not leave that divorce unheard or overlooked, and her attention to detail and persistence made a real difference in my outcome. If you're looking for a law firm that genuinely cares, fights for you, and treats you with dignity and respect, Elira Law Firm is it. I only wish I had found them sooner. Highly, highly recommend.

I paid for a consultation with Elira Law Firm regarding a family law matter, and the experience was…read morehighly unprofessional and concerning. During the Zoom consultation, multiple attorneys unexpectedly joined the call and appeared to be competing over the consultation fee. The attorney assigned to me concealed his face on camera and had an unprofessional background setup. No meaningful legal advice was provided. Instead, the discussion focused almost entirely on demanding a retainer without explaining strategy, scope, or next steps. At one point, another attorney joined the call and openly criticized the firm, stating they were "all over the place." I escalated my concerns to management and was told nothing could be done because the consultation had technically been "provided," despite no advice being given. I then paid an additional fee to speak with management, only to find that they also lacked familiarity with key family law issues and provided inaccurate information that I had to correct. I was quoted a higher retainer and told it would likely be consumed before even entering court. When I asked to speak with or interview the attorney who would handle my case before paying a retainer, I was told this was not allowed. I was informed I would have to pay first and only afterward determine whether the attorney was competent or a good fit. A broader concern is the firm's retainer structure. Clients are required to pay thousands upfront, only to see those funds quickly exhausted through billing before meaningful litigation occurs. Attorney turnover then leads to reassignment and additional charges for internal transitions that are not the client's responsibility. Trust and transparency are essential in family law matters. Based on my experience and similar feedback from other clients, I cannot recommend this firm.
