I was told that I would receive guidance that same night on what to include in my appeal statement because it was important to start early. The attorney explained that we might need to revise the statement several times before submitting it by August 3, leaving time to respond if the government requested additional information before the August 6 appeal deadline. Despite those promises, I never received the guidance or instructions I was told I would get that night. Instead of working with me to develop and refine my statement as discussed, I later learned that work on my case did not begin until August 1. Now, it appears that the attorney will be drafting the statement herself about my relationship with my husband without first involving me in the process as originally promised. Based on the timeline I was given, I expected the work to begin immediately. This delay caused unnecessary stress and undermined my confidence in the representation I was promised. When a legal matter involves strict deadlines, communication and following through on commitments are essential. I sincerely hope my appeal is submitted on time, but this experience has left me feeling frustrated and concerned about how my case has been handled.

During the consultation I was given the appearance that the firm was a professional firm that was willing to assist with our needs. After being quoted a price and required documentation I made the decision to use this firm and what a mistake. My first appointment I was left standing at the door waiting so the assistant ( his wife) could put her child in the bus. I am always contacted at the last min and asked to produce documents within a moments notice so that the can file them before the court closes at 5pm. When reading over documents I have found errors that needed to be corrected and resubmitted. They are constantly missing deadlines to file motions on my behalf even though they were also notified. I have to constantly call and complaint or demand results before I EVER get a response or follow up phone call from Mr. Morris himself. Nor am I ever properly updated on my case. I was even told "well you are not our only client" but when I pay my money I should feel like I am. After my experience with this case and once complete, I will never be a returning client!
