My father was in hospice care recently.   I decided to be proactive and reach out to the funeral…read morehome on behalf of my mother, to get an idea of what was available to fulfill my parents wishes.   My family had used Lambie Funeral Home 3 times prior for two of my great uncles and my grandmother.  The last time was about 10 years ago. After emailing them, I received a phone call from David Lambie to talk to me personally about what we were looking for (cremation,  memorial service,  live streaming,  death certificates,  social security and Medicare notifications, paperwork to fly the ashes internationally)and the costs.    David was kind and caring.  He took his time and explained the processes, step by step.     A week and a half later, my father passed away. I called David just after midnight.  He was there within half an hour to pick up my dad.      The next day, we met with David and worked out the obituary and the rest of the arrangements.   He listened to us, and he made thoughtful suggestions.  Over the next few days, he was patient and attentive as we edited the obituary   and memorial cards several times.  He added and edited our picture montage several times as well.  He was always patient, and kind and sympathetic. He and his lovely wife, Dana, recommended several restaurants for our post memorial reception.    On the day of the Celebration of Life he had someone in the parking lot upon our arrival, ready to help us bring in our pictures, photo albums,  and other props. From the moment we walked in the door, David was there and ready to help us set up our memory vignettes.  My dad had multiple businesses throughout his life and we set up stations that payed homage to his entrepreneurial endeavors.      David went above and beyond.  We had family across the country who were not able to fly in for the services. David started the live feed an hour early so our family members could watch the reception before the services and eulogies started.      The services and eulogies were heart warming and stirring.   At the end of everything,  we had so many people approach us and compliment us on the best funeral that they had ever attended.   I don't know about you,  but I've never been to a funeral that was such a stand out,  that I wanted to remark about it to the family.  We heard it over and over again.   This was all made possible by David & Dana Lambie.    When we were leaving,  David & Dana had everything ready for us.  They had a flash drive of the services, the guest book, the framed picture of my father from the memorial service, and the paperwork we would need to transport the ashes internationally.        They were thorough and efficient, warm and caring.  I can't say enough wonderful things about them.   I would recommend them highly.   They are professional,  effective,  compassionate and a credit to their profession.  When you need funeral services,  know that these people will handle every detail with the utmost care.   David and Dana Lambie are absolutely fantastic!

So glad I did and so glad to have met Ray and Jennifer from Kelley's who worked so hard to make a difficult process flow seamlessly in such a calm and relaxed manner. They accepted my online purchased casket without hesitation, accommodated my every request, and treated everyone with respect and dignity. No one needs to be "upselling" or creepiness at such a difficult time and these guys understood that. They discussed all aspects of the arrangements in a straight forward and sensitive manner without using cliche language or euphemisms. The home feels like a large home, a warm place where family and friends can gather safely to comfort one another and say good bye. We had all the time in the world and everything was beautifully coordinated. The only draw backs were we had to bring our own wide screen TV and DVD player and credit cards were not accepted, but I'm not sure funeral homes in general are as tech savvy as other businesses these days and we did get a discount for early payment. Cemeteries are such a difficult review but as I drove slowly through this cemetery towards my…read morefriend's gravesite I was thinking ... this isn't a bad place for a final earthly destination. It is massive and includes treed lots where the headstones show that this cemetery was established shortly after the founding of our nation. It has obviously been expanded out into rolling farm hills but the owner shows respect and care throughout. There are "memorial benches" throughout the cemetery where visitors can sit and reflect. Very nice touch ... mmmm might be a thought for my future headstone. And, what impressed me were the "grave diggers." Yes, I notice grave diggers .... all too many of them look out of place with the solemn graveside ceremonies they watch. These two men stood at attention next to the grace as the pall bearers carried the casket forward. They showed respect to the casket and represented the cemetery in a positive way. So, I know nothing about costs nor business practices so I can't give a 5 star due to the unknown factors but on the presentation ... I almost (Note, almost) want to just go back and sit there to contemplate life but it's hard to think life surrounded by death.

On the day of the service, he went above and beyond: providing easels for our photo displays, accommodating our custom playlist with an excellent Bluetooth sound system, and supplying special laminated prayer cards for the immediate family alongside the standard ones. Throughout it all, Tim and his brother Chris were there to support us every step of the way. The following day, Tim met our family for the private interment, where he thoughtfully provided holy water at the gravesite--a very special touch.
