The room here was inviting and clean, the bed was super comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tub. I would point out that it's in a cramped bathroom behind the door though, the photos are slightly deceiving on this. Also, there's a door leading to the main house that is owner space, it's locked, but only from their side. As a single traveler, I would have preferred a lock on the guest side as well. Note, if you are looking for something super quiet, this might not be the place. There's quite a bit of noise as it's on the main thoroughfare. Not so much from people, but a decent amount of cars driving by at night. I didn't mind this as I was traveling alone but it was unexpected.

Someone even took time to alphabetize the TV channel guide. What's not to love?! Cute little town. Don't blink! We enjoyed their only restaurant (very nice folk) and enjoyed a good night's sleep. Also, if you smoke or just want to enjoy the night air, there is a beautiful covered wood porch, comfy chairs and big tables if you'd want to play cards and such.

Upon entering, you're sure to be greeted with a warm hello and a friendly smile from whoever happens to be behind the counter. The Desperado sells snacks (candy, pretzels, jerky, etc.), a wide selection of cold drinks and beer, typical convenience store items, and a few novelties such as trucker hats. If you find yourself in Crawford, you'll most likely stop by the Desperado at least once, so be sure to take a picture next to the plastic dinosaur outside.

Our room was on the top floor and was sooo cute and clean! The bed was super comfy and we loved that there was a ceiling fan. The room has AC and was very cool in the evening. The location is walking distance to anything in town. The breakfast the following morning was PERFECTION. We started with a local fruit salad and finished with homemade blueberry lemon meringue pancakes with bacon. The pancakes were so fluffy! We can't say enough good things about this place. Stay here a while. If we're ever back in the area we will definitely be back!

You can spend a relaxed afternoon reading in one of the quiet, sunny common areas or go exploring the many outdoor adventures available in the area (we've been to the Black Canyon, Needle Rock area and snowmobiling to name a few). The building is old - built in the 1980's - and that means the floors are very creaky, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it was reasonably priced and we'd stay here again if/when we visited.
