First, let me clear that there are limited hotel options in Crawford, CO. This lodge would be described as very rustic, but the owner, Wes I very accommodating.
The rooms were clean and you cannot beat the amazing views off the balcony or the abundance of wildlife you'll see right outside.
Wes asked us what time we wanted breakfast and we were treated to homemade pancakes, bacon, eggs and - of course - coffee.
The building is old - built in the 1980's - and that means the floors are very creaky, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it was reasonably priced and we'd stay here again if/when we visited. It's located near a gas station and several restaurants in the downtown area.
Overall, I'd say this lodge added to the experience of visiting the middle of nowhere in Colorado read more
