My husband had just passed away and we were not well prepared. I knew he wanted to be cremated but I had other questions. I called around town to many funeral homes and some of them really shocked me how hard it was to get information out of them. Central Avenue was the only one to really impress me and they were so gracious that I felt so comfortable. I felt welcomed and not pressured during the entire process. They were organized, well prepared for my questions, efficient, and timely getting things prepared by the time we needed them.

I needed to be in California immediately following my father's death. Todd and Ms Betty took over and made the arrangements so much easier and smoother in getting my father prepared and transported. They were respectful, professional and personal all at the same time. I could not have asked for better service! I would recommend them to anyone who wishes to show respect and love to their loved ones. Mr. Todd was on time, prepared and stayed at the funeral site to ensure all went well. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for me and my family.

From the time that I reached out via a form on their website to the time in which actual services had to be rendered, I always felt like Core had thorough respect for my father's posthumous wishes. Communication was timely and clear, showed a wonderful level of reverence, and never left me asking questions. Gim made my family feel comfortable with this portion of the process while respecting our grief, providing the needed details, ranging from transport to paperwork. Personally, I felt like I could not have made a better choice. Mortuary services are very much à la carte, and core cremation starts their services at $995. When you add on certificate certificates, urns, or other remembrances, your price tag can go up, but the value is spot on. it was an honor to fulfill my father's wishes and Core Cremation helped to ease our hearts during a difficult time.

They were happy to explain even the tiniest of details for us (as our heads were in a "grief fog" for most of the time.) The fact that they are a locally owned, family business meant a great deal to us...we never felt like a "number." And they made Mom look really lovely and peaceful. In a time of such pain, it was nice not to have anything negative "piled on" by poor service in such a sensitive situation.

I called our local "new" SHINKLE funeral home in town thinking, small town, small price. This is NOT the case. Direct cremation was $2873. That's, no service, no container, that's it. After we put him to rest in southern Oklahoma, I called several funeral homes. They are required by law to give prices over the phone. Out of 10 places I called AFFINITY was the cheapest and most reasonable at $1267, along with a black cremation urn. They were curtious and informative. I will definitely be doing business with them and I will tell my 600 member church about them. I feel we were taken advantage of in our small little town.
