A fallen tree during a storm pulled down the service from the pole to the house and the meter and…read morewire off the house. I have an old home and the fuse box and electric service was not up to code and this was now a good time to upgrade. After leaving messages with several other contractors who never got back, I found Gerald Long Electric. Gerald got back that afternoon and came out to inspect and quote a few days later despite being busy. The quote was to replace and upgrade to code, all electrical from the roof line down and into the basement with a new 100 amp breaker box replacing the existing fuse box. Other grounding and neutral issues were also found and corrected. All the work was completed in about five hours! I was expecting it to take all day. Communication with Gerald was excellent, either answering his phone when I called or retuning my call a few minutes later. Everything as promised and at a very good price. With years of experience he has probably seen it all! There were issues and delays with getting a permit to start the work and this would have been much more of a problem if Gerald hadn't been so responsive and helpful.
