I was lucky when I called Myers Well Service, because Darren was walking in the door as I called. He worked me into his schedule between jobs the next day and fixed our well pump that had wires wearing and didn't just force me to buy a new pump. He honestly did the necessary work to get the farm up and going with water. He was under his quoted estimate. When the work was done he called me with all the details, making some future PM suggestions and took a credit card over the phone. Spent over $5000 dollars on a well drilled 300+ feet deep by this company that makes 1/2 gallons…read moreper minute. They do not believe in "witching" a well to find the best possible spot to drill... and stated " over 70% of the time you drill a hole anywhere you get water "...well, not this time apparently ! The old well was 50 ft. away and made great water, but caved in over the years, which required drilling a new one due to the location of the old one. They pick a spot based on convenience of burying the pipe and wire instead of "witching" it to find the best source of ground water flow. In the beginning, they kept asking me where I wanted the new one drilled instead of recommending a spot...WTF that's why I called you in the first place... I'm not a well driller !... and apparently neither are you now that I wasted $5000 dollars on the results of your talents. After this event, I've spoken with numerous individuals that have had to pay for 2 holes being drilled because the first one they picked didn't make any water at all. That's ok, he only charges half price for the hole that didn't produce any water. This sound like a money scam to me and a great way to earn more income on holes that don't have to be cased or finished. Just pick another spot and drill again...at your cost. Consumers think twice before picking this company to drill your new well, you might be in for a money scam like myself and others have apparently been a victim of.

I found Rodger thru Laskowski Plumbing, as Steve Laskowski told me Rodger came highly recommended by his customers. After calling Rodger, he came out to my house within an hour & was able to asses the situation & give me a written estimate for the work (which was 1/2 the price quoted by others). Rodger & Rick were out the next day w/an American-made Flint & Walling pump that has a 5-year warranty, built up a well head to my well so I never have to dig it up, and tested/tweaked the system for optimum efficiency. All said, he was a delight to work w/& he answered all my questions. He was also very cool to talk to while they were working & didn't mind me watching them work. Took ~3 hrs to finish the job & even priced me under the estimate he gave me the previous day. I can't recommend Harry E Davis & Sons enough! He will always be my well guy!
