He…read moretalked us into putting a new softener system in with a uv purifying system to kill bacteria in our water. Now I have no problem with the system as it has made our water better and I can tell the water is better quality. My problem is he told us the bulb would need to be replaced once a year and he would come by and replace it for no charge other than the price of the bulb that cost $100. Well im a handy guy and I can do things on my own so I call the company that made the system for a price on a replacement bulb the sales rep told me $95.00. Well the very next day the guy who installed our system come's to replace the bulb no call just shows up at the house. He was told I was going to replace the bulb myself and says oh there's no charge other than the price of the bulb. So I figure well he got the bulb now It's $100. Going by the price he gave me when he put the system in I'll just let him go ahead and put it in. So he puts the bulb in and before he leaves says ok that will be $250. So that led to a little argument of him telling me I never said I could get the bulb for $100 I'll give it to you for $200. My supplier can't even get them for that. So I reply back with the company that makes the bulb only sells them for $95. And he tells me it's not the same bulb now I went to the website got the # and called the exact company that makes the system so I know it is the same bulb and the lady I talked to looked it up by model # and the replacement part # is right on the side of the tank. Now I understand he had to drive here and that cost money and I don't expect him to do it for nothing but to charge over double the price of the bulb and claim your not making any money is bs especially when it is an easy job that I was already planning on doing myself. I feel bad for having to write a reveiw against this company beings we have know him for years as he has done our last 2 softener systems and I do think he is a nice guy but now that I found out it is strictly business I'm just getting this off my chest.

They sent Don for the sales side of it. Don is top notch. Very informative, not the least bit pushy, and super helpful deciding what you should and shouldn't do. I don't know the rest of the salesmen at Culligan, but if you want a good sales experience, ask for Don and I guarantee you'll get it. Danny, the installer is a machine. Danny got the job done in half the time we were quoted it would take which worked out perfect for me because I had a tight schedule that day. Danny is an artist in his work. As a commercial piping designer myself, I can tell you first hand that there are two types of pipers/plumbers. Good and bad. Pipe is pipe, it doesn't matter what system we're talking about, it's all about the piper. Danny is one you want installing piping in your house. He's pushing 30 years with Culligan, he best be getting some type of bonus. Our well water was so hard before deciding to get a softener through Culligan. It was leaving hardness stains all over our sinks, giving us a constant battle against dandruff because of how hard it dries your scalp, and definitely wasn't drinkable. Culligan fixed all of that up for us. We got a softener that showed immediate results in the hardness. Man, that first shower with the new water was heavenly. Finally shut the wife up about it ;). We also got a reverse osmosis system that fits nicely under the sink to replace the very costly water bottles we've been buying since we bought our house. We love the taste now, and the system will pay itself off without the cost of the 5 gallon water bottles (plus the damn hassle of getting them). I was lucky when I called Myers Well Service, because Darren was walking in the door as I called. He worked me into his schedule between jobs the next day and fixed our well pump that had wires wearing and didn't just force me to buy a new pump. He honestly did the necessary work to get the farm up and going with water. He was under his quoted estimate. When the work was done he called me with all the details, making some future PM suggestions and took a credit card over the phone.
