The other mechanic offered to have ford pay to fix the part with a ford certified piece and ford got me in the next morning. I waited about an hour and walked around the lock. The vehicles are nice and well priced. We purchased our ford from another dealership but these seemed to be nicer and better priced. The mechanics explained what they did and gave me the previous part back but not before testing it again to find it that it's just a defective part ( at no fault of either mechanics) Great quick service. The dealership never submitted the form to the the IRS so I could get the $4,000 tax credit. I was told by numerous friends, car dealerships, and business owners to have the car dealership submit the one page form as car dealerships can easily get the tax credit from the IRS. Midwest Motors was not interested in doing this as they were selling this Tesla as a favor to a friend and consultant to their company. I wanted to make it easy on Midwest Motors so I did not press them on doing the work. I am now out $4k as Midwest Motors never submitted one form that confirmed I purchased the car from them, or submitted the one simple form with the incorrect VIN. The owner and team at Midwest Motors was pleasant and easy to work with during the sales processes. However, like many sales transactions, companies are not willing to help after the deal is closed. Then told us we needed new batteries. We were a bit puzzled about that since my husband services the batteries regularly and they registered good as far as we knew. But ok.... they put in new batteries, the golf cart still would not move. We didn't know anything was amiss until we called to check on the cart a number of days later. They weren't sure, but thought it was the wiring harness. It became apparent that the technician didn't really know much about fixing golf carts. They said they would work with us on the bill. We finally get a harness, it is delivered and the bill is 1/3 more than I expected, we got a $33 discount. Not going back. They are nice people. Buying a golf cart from them is great. Getting it repaired, not so much. The manager is wearing too many hats and needs competent help.
