It's been almost 4 months. I should have written this review earlier, but life happens. Plus, I still am having a hard time believing the pain that I lived with for 15 yrs. is truly gone. No more pain! I feel wonderful! Yes, I am still recovering, bones are healing, but I feel so good that I must remind myself not to push too hard. I spent one night in hospital after surgery. After I left Sarasota Memorial, I took no pain medicines. Only took an occasional at bedtime over the counter Tylenol. For what I would call a little discomfort not pain. I felt great, was able to move around, walk around and even had a good time watching the Super Bowl, days after. After my 3-week visit I was able to drive. After a month, I travelled by jet to visit family. I have walked 23K steps in Washington DC, ridden trains, and taken long bicycle rides again in D.C. Before I picked Dr. Fine, every medical doctor strongly recommended Dr. Fine. My husband and I did the research and agreed he was the BEST NEUROSURGEN for this procedure. Plus, when I met him, I found a very calm, soft spoken, knowledgeable doctor, with great bedside manners. Thank you, Dr. Fine!

He is the only Urologist that finally found my prostate cancer after seeing two previous urologist and referred me to one of the best Oncologist in the nation. I have never had problems with his office staff. My insurance company denied coverage on the type of biopsy he did that actually finally found my prostate cancer after three other false negative biopsies from previous doctors over the last three years. Dr. Tingle went to bat for me and wrote a letter to my insurance company stating that this special biopsy was medical necessary since the MRI showed a lesion on my prostate and the normal type of a regular prostate biopsy wasn't identifying any cancer. After his letter he sent to my insurance company and two appeals I had sent with all my past medical history and biopsies, the insurance company finally paid for the special biopsy he did hospital and physician bill in full. I can't say enough what a great Urologist Dr. Tingle is. Now I am cancer free.

Long review for a great physician. I recently traveled from the midwest to visit Dr Jonathan Yunis…read moreat The Center for Hernia repair in Sarasota , Florida, and I am so glad I did. I had been suffering from groin pain for three years and had been diagnosed with bilateral inguinal hernias and told to schedule surgery by a general surgeon in my home state. I began to research the procedure and specialists who offer no- mesh as an option in the right situation. The reviews that I read for Dr Yunis as well as his credentials caught my eye. His practice is solely focused on hernia surgeries but he is also a board certified vascular surgeon. I called the office and spoke with Melanie, his nurse administrator. Melanie was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. She educated me and answered my questions generously, even giving me questions to ask if I sought care elsewhere. She offered a phone consult or in-person visit at my convenience. I called a couple more times over the next two years with more questions and each time she was equally helpful and pleasant as was Rhonda, who scheduled my appointment. I delayed visiting due to Covid and distance but the pain increased and was limiting my activity so I finally made the trip earlier this month. I met with Melanie and Dr Yunis. Both of them took their time to ask me questions and help me. Dr. Yunis exudes keen intelligence and kindness. He listened intently to my history, examined me and pretty quickly surmised that it was likely my hip causing my problems and pain. He offered referrals and help with imaging. Luckily my husband has great orthopedic connections, and I had an mri a week after returning home that revealed my previously healthy hip now had moderate to severe osteoarthritis with a bone spur and degenerative labral tear! A week later, I have just gotten a steroid injection and am already walking more normally with greatly reduced pain! I hope I can avoid hip replacement, but I am certainly glad I did not opt to have hernia surgery at my local hospital! It would not have helped my hip pain and may have caused other issues. I am so thankful I made the trip for an in-person consult at The Center for Hernia Repair. I would absolutely choose Dr. Yunis if I actually did need hernia repair and I am incredibly grateful for his astute preliminary diagnosis of my pain. After three years of suffering, I saw Dr Yunis and within three weeks- my limp is gone, my mind is clear from pain and I understand what is going in in my body! Melanie even called when I was back home to see if I needed anything. He and his staff are wonderful. They are truly experts in their field, kind, transparent and helpful. I felt cared for and I am so deeply grateful. I highly recommend them.

To hear surgery patients complain about wait times is ridiculous. You can NEVER predict what time a surgery will start. Maybe you would. Unreal. It's extremely difficult to schedule procedures and you haven't had to deal with patients showing up with their issues and last minute changes and complaints that were never discussed because the patient "forgot" or changed their mind.
