We have been…read moreto this location twice this week and both times with different staff the service was horrible. Both times two rude girls were working and it seemed to bother them that we asked for smoothies. So bad was their attitude I feared they would mess with the drinks. One smoothie was okay the other was bitter and not made correctly. This business should be good but I fear the manager or owner is not staying on top of his personnel. Are all 18-23 year olds effected with the same entitlement attitude. We will not go back and i'm sure to spread the story to others.

I am a huge fan of Rouses Market and whenever I am in this part of the southeastern United States…read moreand I am close enough to one of their locations. Rouses Market was started by Anthony Rouse, Sr. back in 1960 with a single location in Houma, Louisiana. It has since expanded to over sixty locations across three states (Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama). The thing that I like best about Rouses Market are the local items and I am always heading home with several items that I simply cannot get in Florida. I picked up some local food stuff that I can only find in Cajun country. The staff at this location was friendly and professional and this store is pleasant and welcoming. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location of Rouses Market or any Rouses Market location for that matter. If you are in the area, come check them out. I give this particular Rouses Market location five stars overall for a completely positive and upbeat shopping experience.

Definitely don't judge this spot by it's exterior as the food was legit. We each ordered a bowl of the gumbo (trust me, you won't want to share!), and shared the fried green tomatoes with crab (it's actually topped with blackened shrimp and the crab is mixed into a sauce the fried green tomatoes are topped with), fried shrimp platter (with fries), and fried fish platter (with onion rings). Everything we tried was so good! All the dishes had good flavorful and portion size was good, especially for the price. We had plenty leftover to take on the road with us! Service was super friendly, with our waitress checking on us fairly frequently. Parking may be a little tough during peak hours since they also share the lot with a motel.
