Sharon Ten was recommended as a lawyer who could help secure an appointment for me as my wife's…read moreguardian and conservator and also develop an estate plan. This had suddenly become very important because of my wife's illness and need for long-term care. I met with Susan and found her to be exceptionally knowledgeable, very transparent, and quite efficient in addressing my needs. The entire process for guardianship/conversator played out exactly as she predicted, and she was very attentive throughout the process. On my court date, Sharon made sure the judge had all the documents needed and my status as guardian and conservator was established on the same day of my hearing. Then she turned her attention to my needs for an estate plan and developed a strategy and plan that perfectly fits my family's needs. Sharon left no stone unturned and now I sleep very well at night, knowing that things are in place to prevent chaos if I pass away.

Mary McLaurin went above and beyond to make sure we got a favorable outcome. Her key attention to details in reviewing documents was part of major successes throughout litigation. Her professionalism and extensive knowledge of the law was impressive. She took the time to go through every outcome and scenario possible in our case explaining all of the pros/cons along the way. Most importantly, as her clients, we felt heard and understood about our endgame throughout settlement negotiations. She fought for us every step of the way and in the end we couldn't be more satisfied with the result. Highly recommend Mary and the Defazio Bal Firm. Nupur and Dottie were instrumental in our case as well.

Really good pricing BUT…read more.. Communication could've been better. More importantly... I had two cases. The second case I was confident to be dropped, which it was. The first case I informed my attorney of audio AND video footages she could obtain for the case yet she did not. I told her I wanted to go to trial, she said it's not insane but it's a 50/50 chance I'll lose but I was willing to take the chance. The day of court, The officer lied on the stand, I told my attorney he lied, yet she said "they always do." I plead no contest out of fear that my lawyer instilled in me that day through reiteration of likely going to jail, the judge being in favor of officers, so on and so forth. I received 12 months probation as a FIRST TIME OFFENDER! Til this day I feel I should've defended myself.

David G Moss is unquestionably the best lawyer you will find in the Amelia/Nottoway area. In…read morethese counties attorneys are rather scarce, and my suspicion is that some of them can be unscrupulous and lazy, with little concern for their clients beyond the collection of fees. When I met Mr Moss I knew instantly that he was not one of those. Here was a genuine person whom I could trust. My sister and I had inherited a small country property, so we needed a real estate attorney at the sale. I am pretty clueless about such matters. During the initial consultation Mr Moss took care to explain each aspect of the upcoming transaction with the clarity I needed to understand the whole process. I was impressed by his professional acumen, his quietly focused energy, his kindness in patiently answering my too-obvious questions. The closing happened on the snowiest day of early December. Power was out in the office, but all of us met there anyway, just as power returned. Sitting down at the cold conference table with Mr Moss and his wife Melissa was like being welcomed into a warm family home. Our meeting was an efficient yet convivial affair, and now that closing has happened we are thankful to David and Melissa Moss, and also their wonderful legal assistant, Rylee Smith, for guiding us through it.
