I called our regular vet and we had to wait for an appointment. I looked around on Yelp and found Coyne and took her right in the same day. We were not surprised that our kitty received a clean bill of health but indeed surprised to find out that she is rare - most (90%) of Orange Tabby cats are male! They require rabies and Bordetella vaccines, which I understand and have no issue with. The advertised grooming cost is $81, yet once you factor in the mandatory exam fee and additional "miscellaneous" charges, my bill exceeded $300 each time. What makes this worse is that for the second year in a row, my cat developed a respiratory infection shortly after grooming. This resulted in yet another required exam visit plus antibiotics, adding an additional $178. What should have been a routine grooming turned into nearly a $500 experience. On top of that, they now require you to sign a form prior to grooming that feels like a psychological pressure tactic rather than informed consent. You are asked to choose whether you want CPR or a DNR for your pet under anesthesia if you decline $225 bloodwork, essentially forcing you into an emotionally charged decision to push additional services. I would be more understanding of the pricing if the outcomes were better, but after two consecutive years of illness following grooming and constant upselling, I no longer trust this clinic's priorities. Pet care should not feel like a sales transaction.

Oak Hill is a bit more expensive than my old vet, but they are worth every penny. The staff is very nice and the vet explains everything with a fine tooth comb. The examination is done in room and not in the back, which is nice, because it makes the visit more inclusive. My 20 year old cat passed away and they made a monetary donation Purdue Veterinary School on his behalf. This was such a nice gesture and shows the sincerity of their work. Oak Hill gets 5 out of 5 for me!!

My dog had a dental here and I am the most impressed by the care, thoroughness and value that he and I received. Care- this clinic is "fear free" and it shows. On returning to this clinic when he realized where we were my dog's little tail was wagging a mile a minute! He practically leapt into the tech/csr's arms and couldn't wait to go back into the building. He has always been a good patient at the vets- but this is the first vet he was eager to return to. I am under no doubts Dr. Asbury who was the first vet at the practice to see Harvey has become one of his top 5 favorite people!! It feels like he is more at ease after visiting this vet than if he just chilled at home. As someone in the industry this is exceptional 14/10 and is an indicator of an excellent support staff and practice culture. Throughness- during the the dental Dr. Cooper extracted a mind numbing 12 teeth that needed to come out including many multirooted teeth- and most significantly a lower canine. That is a lot of teeth. For people not in the field this is like the vet running marathon and then ending with a perfect routine on the uneven bars. It's a feat. A feat that Dr. Cooper didn't shy away from but accomplished impeccably for the good my dog. I am impressed and grateful. Her skill added to Harvey's quality of life and likely his longevity. Finally value- when it was time to settle up the billI was shocked. For a dental as in-depth and complicated as the one Harvey needed I was prepared to pay 4x the price I was charged!! I am astonished that St. John Animal clinic managed to charge such an affordable price (under $600) for such a quality job. They are truely partners with the pet owning public making exceptional healthcare for animals affordable!! Also for context all this occurred during an historically stressful day nestled in the Covid19 pandemic. So in summary: you couldn't do better for yourself or your pets than to bring them to St. John Animal Clinic.

I took my dog here because he was having seizures. The Dr there did not not even care to look at…read morethe video of the seizure. He briefly looked at it. Was rude to me and told me to put my phone down to listen to him. I was listening to him. He said that my dog was having seizures due to anxiety. He said that I would need to take him to a neurology vet to be evaluated. I told him that he had 2 seizures in less than 6 months. the first time was at 5 am in which he was not anxious and the second time he was not doing anything but standing in the kitchen. He is only anxious when I take him out. He told me that I was in denial about my dog having anxiety. I said ok he has anxiety yes but not during this time. I asked if he would treat the anxiety and he told me no. I asked him if I could have medication to stop the seizure as each one was almost 5 minutes and he stops breathing. He told me no. Referred me to a neurology vet in which I could not get in until Jan. He treated me like a child. He than charged me $68 for an exam that was done not even in my presence. No other work was done. I am a neurology nurse practitioner and know about seizures. I told him that I was not wanting to have a MRI of my dogs head. It was obvious that this was a significant seizure. He said seizure medications can be deadly. VERY RUDE DR. If i could leave zero stars I would. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE .
