My son would have a gag reflex every time our family dentist would try to take x-rays so they were never able to take them. Since Woodbridge Kids Dentistry specializes in pediatric dentistry, the x-rays were taken without any trouble. While they worked on my son, he was relaxed and didn't even move while watching his favorite movie. Dr. Gep is very experienced and knowledgeable. She noticed a tongue tie which might explain why my son has a minor speech problem. I wish someone had pointed this out before. My son usually goes to Danforth Children's Dentistry but they are currently moving to a bigger…read moreplace but construction has been delayed so we came here for 1 appointment. This location is owned by the same dentists as Danforth Children's Dentistry so it was easy to come here because all the files were easily available here. It is their second location, opening in 2021. This place is rather small. There is a small waiting area plus a nicely decorated and colourful children's waiting area. There are only 3 dental rooms. Each room is very compact, compared to their Danforth location; I would say about 70% of the size. In terms of customer service, I found it similar to the Danforth location. In term of prices, there is a  big difference. For example, the dentist here charges $87 for a cleaning (procedure code 11111) but insurance pays $63, since this is what a general dentist is supposed to charge for that procedure. The dentist at the Danforth location is a specialist in pediatric dentistry so she charges $93 for the same procedure but insurance is allowed to pay $88 since she is a specialist. So if both locations are convenient to get to, it is better to go to Danforth since you only have to pay $93-$88 instead of $87-$63. My conclusion is the general dentist is really overcharging! They are still under pandemic protocols of allowing you in one group at a time, and checking your temperature and giving you hard sanitizer (just like the Danforth location). The pkace is not wheelchair accessible since you have to go down stairs. There is a one gender-neutral washroom. There is free and paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2022-121

The dentists at Leaside are 100% skilled at the jobs and great dentists from a health standpoint…read more They lack any form of bedside manner or interpersonal capabilities to make adequate suggestions or support their patients. They are brief in their summaries and tell you everything you could do rather than help guide you towards what you should do. They are particularly bad at pediatric dentistry. When my son was getting one of his first check-ups, it became evident he was missing two front teeth. The dentist proceeded to use the term "recessive gene" three times and claimed my family must have the same "recessive gene" problem -- we don't, neither do members of my wife's family -- and then made me feel stupid for not noticing this issue. New parents need to feel supported with their children's health. These dentists made me feel ashamed and confused. When my son was about to get his first cavity filled at 4 years old, the dentist first claimed it would be very challenging cause it was late in the day, then had us come back later in the week first thing in the morning, then gave up and referred us to pediatric dentistry, which we should have done in the first place. It was a tremendous waste our time and frankly I'm appalled by their righteous attitude. Also, they don't do direct billing, so be prepared to pay up front fully even if you have coverage. Don't get me wrong. These dentists are skilled and trained. They know dentistry. Their attitude sucks. I have seen medical specialists my entire life and I'm very attuned to who demonstrates care and who just treats appointments as work. Leaside made us feel like a job and not people.
