I chipped one of my front teeth on a Saturday afternoon and called Smile Unique for help. Given that it was a Saturday and nearing the end of the day I figured I'd be lucky to get anyone at all and if I did get someone they would be likely be grumpy and not helpful. Instead I was pleasantly surprised to meet Sheri Heuvelman, dental hygienist on the other end of the line. Sheri was working three jobs at once that day: dental hygienist, dental assistant and receptionist and dental assistant. Her demeanor on the phone was beyond pleasant and after explaining my situation she relayed the story to the dentist, Dr. Jay Kumar, who kindly agreed to see me right away. On my way to the Katy office I got lost but fortunately for me Sheri had given me her cell phone number so I called her, more than once, and she helped guide me to the office. Once there, both Sheri and Dr. Kumar were welcoming and professional. Dr. Kumar fixed my tooth, with Sheri assisting, and it looks awesome. In fact, when he was finished he gave me an opportunity to decide if I liked it or wanted anything else done to it. We both decided that the other front tooth needed some work to make the pair look right so Dr. Kumar proceeded to correct the other immediately. The final product was far better than any work done on them in the past and I've chipped my front teeth more times than I can count. I should add that on top of everything they did for me that day, I was only one of many dental emergencies that they were dealing with. But that certainly didn't affect them. Both Dr. Kumar and Sheri delivered outstanding dental care at my time of need, late on a Saturday, putting their own schedules and needs aside (they didn't get to eat lunch that day). I plan on returning to their office for any future dental needs that I or anyone in my family has and would highly recommend that you do the same. I have given them a rating of five out of five stars but it would be more appropriate to give them ten out of five stars because they certainly went above and beyond to help me. -Jake read more

I just returned from my appointment at Smile Unique and I can't recommend it enough! If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The establishment was super clean, modern, the staff were amazing, and the results perfect; after Dr. Arunkumar finished operating I couldn't tell I ever chipped my tooth! Despite scheduling my appointment on short notice, unintentionally giving completely wrong insurance information and showing up nearly an hour late on an incredibly busy day, they did everything to make sure I got the treatment I needed the same day, in order to accommodate my restrictive schedule. I want to thank Sheri in particular for the unforgettable service. I inadvertently wasted countless hours of her and Molly's time (forgive me, Molly) and added additional hours of stress with my insurance problems, both on and after work hours. Despite all this, she was so incredible, sweet, helpful, and endlessly patient, it really made me feel like family. If that wasn't enough, my bill ended up going above my total coverage, and she waived the extra! If you are anywhere near this establishment and need any dental work done, look no further, you will not regret it! The staff here are fantastic! read more

Highly recommend! Best Dental Experience. The staff at this office are unbelievably personable. Never had a better dental experience. Despite being a brand new patient, I was treated with absolute care and respect. Dr. Kumar was incredibly straightforward with his explanations, and was able to quickly schedule me to start a root canal the day I came in for an exam. He was very sweet, and I experienced no pain or discomfort during the procedure. He was gentle, and continuously ensured I was comfortable for the whole procedure. What's more, all the assistants and front-desk workers were incredibly nice and empathetic. Sheri especially has been incredibly sweet and caring every step of the way. They have even gone to extra lengths to check in with me via preferred correspondence as interim check-ups between scheduled procedures. I don't think I've ever had dental health care this thorough and personable, and I am very grateful I chose to be a patient of theirs. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

I am so thankful my co-worker referred me Smile Unique! As they say, customer service starts at the front door. Well, I was greeted by three staff members who all had a bright and welcoming smile. I can't say enough about Sherri. She has such a beautiful personality and very personable. My coworker told me how they eased her fear about dental work, but I was still skeptical, given previous experience with other dentists. I guess they'd call it PTSD . When I tell you I never had so much fun at a dentist office... We laughed so much I forgot about my fear! Dr. Jay was AMAZING! Dr. Jay was down to earth and made me feel comfortable. He's very gentle when working with his tools and always checked on me to make sure I was okay during the procedures. It was very soothing to hear him count (6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1) while he was drilling... This was my first visit to this dentist and my experience was amazing. I called on Sunday with a chipped filling that was causing pain and Sheri took my request and tried to get me in as soon as possible, getting me in the next day. She was in contact even after hours (and it was Mother's Day) and when I came in it was quick and easy. The assistant was really nice and she talked with me the whole time and let me know when she was going to take the x rays and everything. De. Kumar was also really nice and he let me know exactly what he was doing and they asked if I had any questions and were thorough with my exam and my dental health concerns. He filled my chipped filling instead of giving me a cap right away. I've already scheduled my cleaning with them because they were so nice for taking me on such short notice and really taking care of me and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Fleury and her staff are very professional with very reasonable prices and short wait times. They always make me and my kids feel very comfortable and appreciated during our visits. I first came to Dr. Fleury because my previous Dentist had installed crowns on a couple of my rear teeth and they kept falling off. My previous dentist said that I needed to wear a night guard and said that she could make one for about $1200. That's when I went to Dr. Fleury. She reattached my crown and didn't charge me for it. When she reattached the crown it didn't fall off. Dr. Fleury later made a night guard for me for $400. This of course was a few years ago, so I don't know what they cost today, but I'm sure that she has very reasonable prices. I highly recommend Dr. Fleury. I think she may be the best Dentist that I've ever had, and since I am 59 years old, that is saying a lot. read more

I have been nervous about going to a dentist for years, so this was a big step for me. I've had teeth issues for years, but have been so ashamed of my teeth that I just refused to go, out of fear of being talked down to about it. Here, I did not receive any ridicule! Sheri, Tracy , and Dr. Arunkumar all made me feel like I had been coming here for years within my first visit! They were all very nice and truly caring about my needs and concerns. I went in not knowing where to start, and they began my treatment by diving into the big issue I had first, which were my wisdom teeth with exposed nerves, and had them removed that 1st visit without a bunch of rescheduling or sending me else where! I need more work done, and I will continue to come back here, aswell as recommending others to go! We need more doctors as good and honest as Dr. Arunkumar! read more

If you ever had a toothache you know that it affects every waking hour of your life. Turns out I was working in the area when my face started to completely melt of my skull because my lower teeth started to pulse with non-stop when pain that radiate from my face straight to my brain! As it turns out I needed two route canals asap and was able to find Dr Jay Arunkumar at Smile Unique relatively easy. The doc was able to see me as soon as I came in and staff from Sheri and the other ladies working in the office were extremely nice! Everything was explained of what I needed and how much it would be without any kind of hassle or confusion. After the route canal was completed I was finally able to finally get a complete nights rest. The place is definitely a great location if you need any kind of dentistry services! read more

I wanted to take time out to thank the Dr. and staff for really treating me with respect. I was out to lunch and met Sheri and she invited me over to their office to get a tooth checked that was bothering me. I didn't go that day but when my tooth started hurting really bad I remembered the smiling and friendly lady I had met. When I call the office, I had a great conversation and invite from Mae the office manager, who left me feeling really important. I don't really write stuff on the internet, but dr. Kumar is one cool, down to earth guy, could be my son but knows his stuff. I don't have insurance, but that was not an issue with these guys they have a lot of ways to pays for service, anyway I just want to say thanks again and I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in three months for my cleaning read more

I give this place 5 out of 5 because of their professionalism and caring staff. I especially liked Sheri who took the time to talk to me even after they had closed. I had sent an email 10 minutes before their closing time. The next day, Sheri called me early in the morning. She was so kind and encouraging that I felt this was the right dentist for me. Once at the clinic, Dr. Kumar explained in detail the procedure I needed. Throughout the entire process, he was very patient and kind. It's been 24 hours since my visit and I feel so much better! I was really hurting on a Saturday afternoon to the extent I needed to see a dentist sometime soon, which meant a Sunday visit. I called this dentist, and they saw me Sunday to get my root canal underway. Sheri who answered my call was so understanding. She's the type of person you feel you've always knew for years, yet you just met her. Dr Kumar did a fantastic job. Root canals have a bad rap for being painful, yet mine was zero pain and about as comfortable as it can be. Excellent work. This Dentist office has ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF! I could not ask for a better office! They've given my family the best dental care and now we are starting our cosmetic dental services with this wonderful team who are ready and willing to help on our tooth/ mouth journey. I can't wait for my kiddo to get braces on and my Veneers to be completed! I always feel calm and ready when I come into this office. My kids don't even mind when I say we're going for a checkup or cleaning. This is a wonderful office with a great and caring staff. Wonderful and immaculate environment. I spent years avoiding the dentist & enduring pain due to fear of having my teeth worked on after a terrible encounter as a kid. I am so incredibly happy & grateful to have found this really amazing office that has helped me become comfortable with getting my teeth checked out. Went in for a 2nd opinion today. The hygienist Sherri is absolutely a doll, along with Mae in the front and the assistant Dawn. They were very straight forward and put together a great treatment plan that is ideal for my health, as well as my pockets ($$). I must say that the chair-side manner of the dentist, Dr. Arunkumar was outstanding. He was very informative and is able to talk to you in layman's terms for better understanding of your dental health. I've never liked visiting the dentist but a co-worker referred me to Smile Unique and I'm glad I went there! Dr. Kumar and his assistant were very good at explaining things to me and making me comfortable as they did the work. He offered advice on what work needed to be done but allowed me to make the final decision on how to proceed. Sheri is also very nice and helpful with explaining costs, insurance amounts, etc. She was able to schedule me in quickly and also followed up the next day to make sure I was doing ok. I had the BEST possible experience! The visit was actually for my son who had an unexpected dental emergency on a Saturday. We had not been here previously so we were not even a patient but they still worked us in and took care of the issue. They have a wonderful staff, and he's an excellent dentist. They were very thorough, kind, and caring, from the initial phone call I placed, to the unexpected follow-up phone call a day later. They price was reasonable and we were charged the same amt, or less, than what our normal dentist would have charged for M-F service! read more

Dental emergencies, like most emergencies, happen on the weekend. Imagine my surprise when Sheri & Dr. Kumar not only made time for me at 6:30 on a Sunday evening when they should have been closed, but did so with care, compassion and zero upcharge for seeing me outside of typical office hours! The best dentist of all time. Office wait was pretty quick about 5 min after paperwork was completed. Staff, friendly from the beginning, front office and back room. Dentist was actually the first dentist that didn't make me feel uncomfortable or uneasiness which is very important since I have high blood pressure. Took the time to prep me with the procedure and with meds to make sure I was ready for the next step. Communicated with me the entire time while he worked. I had such a great experience at this dental office on 19355 Katy Fwy in Houston! The dentist is absolutely amazing -- professional, gentle, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was completely comfortable throughout my visit. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, and the office was spotless and modern. You can really tell he cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. I'm so happy I found this place -- definitely the best dentist I've ever been to! Highly recommend! read more
