I always leave a very honest review, So I wanted to make sure I write down the pros and cons. Pros- They are very reliable, booking went very smooth, strips came perfect and they did exactly what I wanted to be done. All pictures came so beautiful crispy clear! Love them, no complaint at all! Luis, the manager, always responded to all my texts messages, and e-mails were always answered on time. So, don't think twice, if you need a photo booth, this is the right one for you. I fully recommend them. Do not get others, there are a lot of scammers at Groupon. Smileuarefamous is a legitimate and a reliable company! Also, the attendant came ahead of time, a very nice gentleman, quiet, but we did not start as I requested which is at 5pm, because we were late with our programs. So, we ended up starting the photo booth session at 5:15 or so, which I knew it was our fault, so I am not blaming them for that, coz we told them I am renting them from 5-8. I really wanted them to start at 5:30 but because some of my son's friends were leaving at 5:30 so I have no choice except to tell them that be there at 5-8 pm. Then around 7:45 pm, I asked the attendant that I wanted another half an hour, and I will pay him for that and I will also give him a $50 tip. He agreed. At around 8:26, Since I was the MC, the mother of the birthday celebrant, and I was totally busy, I had only few minutes left to have a chance to take a picture from the photo booth, and I joked at him to give me even couple of minutes to stay, and he said no. Well, I even said, even I already gave you the tips? And Again he said no, and I guessed, he also got good dinner with us there. But it does not mean he is not a good guy, he is hardworking, seemed to be nice and professional, quiet, and he did an excellent job! I have no comment about that! I guessed he was just doing what he was told to do... He did well, but .. when.. I read other reviews and some attendants stayed few minutes late as a favor, I felt bad. I guessed it depends on who you get. And As I said, we started like few minutes late because the video that my son has prepared for his brother was not ready and when he took the uber, the uber drove him away from the party place. So, I was not blaming SmileUareFamous, it was our fault, but I just wish, he accommodated us for few minutes, it does not have to be the whole time that we lost. Even 5 minutes is already a big favor for us! Also, I asked for birthday and graduation props but I guessed they got confused because we are celebrating double occasion, both graduation and birthday. They have nice props but only for graduation which is also fine. I guessed I did not give them enough time to let them know. But, the strips are clear saying Birthday and graduation, though. Well, they still deserved 5 stars and I will definitely use them again, but will will make sure timing is perfect! Look at the pictures I attached, they are all so gorgeous! Smile U Are Famous is a good value for fantastic photos. It's inexpensive and the base pricing includes the black or white backdrop and props. The photo/camera quality for a photobooth is really high. The photobooth operator set up quickly and quietly, as requested, during our wedding speeches. On the downside, they didn't contact us to design the photo strips until a week before the wedding, which is cutting it close planning a wedding with 100 other things to do. It would have been nice to do it sooner (as I requested numerous times). The printing was also slightly off center, and the pictures themselves aren't centered and slightly tilted. At closing time, my wife requested one last photo with her cousins and the photobooth operator was a bit sassy - I understand the service closes at a certain time but what wedding in history ends on time? They should build a 15 minute time buffer into their pricing, so the customer experience is better. This annoyed my wife on our wedding day quite a bit. The props also were lacking in my opinion, I didn't think there were that many. We were promised masks and hats (I even emailed the week prior to remind them to bring them) and we did not receive those. Overall, I would use this service again, but maybe not for a wedding. read more

Wow, all I can say is the only reason we had an amazing experience was because of J. She is sweet, kind, funny, and she made the night even better for us. It's the first time we've used this service and I have to say I am more than pleased and owe it to her as being the primary reason why we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of having a SMILEUAREFAMOUS booth at our event. I have another event in the summer and I hope that I can specifically ask for her again because she is so pleasant to have around. She was looking after my family and making certain I get pics in with my kids and husband. Who does that? Who goes out of their way like that? Only a person that really cares about giving you great memories and making certain they are all about you. The photos are excellent quality. They print you two copies so you can have one for yourself and give the other away. Afterward you are sent an album where you can view all the pics. The service is excellent and having the link to view the pics next day makes it even better. They are amazing at what they do and I HIGHLY recommend using them for your parties. We were looking for a photo booth the week of our holiday party and came across Smile U Are Famous. We called and spoke to Luis who was very informative and answered all questions we had about the booth because we were using a venue for the party we needed to know a few things. After all are questions were answered we booked. We then got to personalize our photo Strips and choose the color and wording we wanted on the strip they sent us a few options to chose from and the process could not have been any smoother they even used our company logo. The day before the event out photo booth attendant (Chris) called to introduce himself to us and told us he would be at the event earlier to set up. Chris was prompt, prepared and professional. Chris arrived at 6pm our event didn't start until 7pm, he came with fun silly props and a table to place them on and he made all of our guest feel comfortable. Everyone raved about how fun the booth was. So we highly recommend Smile U Are Famous for any event you do. Thank you Smile U Are Famous! They were amazinggg. A couple of points for people searching for a photo booth: 1) My booking was a little last minute, a week or two before my wedding. This photo booth was reliable, prompt and professional. They were able to accommodate me. Everything is via signed contract and they sent their insurance policy. 2) Their prices are affordable. I was looking on groupon at first but in the end, I just called and booked directly. 3) They were a lot of fun!! They were the perfect addition to a fun atmosphere on my wedding day and everyone enjoyed it. The prints came out nice and I think we chose the rose champagne open air booth and it looked perfect. I had to pay a $65 deposit and then the rest in cash the day of the wedding. I'm writing this review because I know it was a little scary to me to book a photo booth when I had never met anyone in person and especially looking online for deals. I looked at soo many places. I'm glad I went with Smile U Are Famous. These people are what they say they are and the photos came out beautiful. I booked Smile U Are Famous for a holiday party. I was referred to them by a friend who booked them for their 1 year anniversary party. I spoke with Lewis over the phone who went over in great detail the many options available to me. They have many, many--almost too many--backdrops to choose from but I settled on the Purple Rain backdrop because you know Prince. The attendant arrived about 30 minutes before the event and the setup was fairly quick. We did have to arrange a few tables to make everything fit so ensure you confirm with the venue ahead of time that they set up the tables correctly to accommodate the booth. I assure you that you do not want to be pushing tables around in your party dress a half an hour before the guests arrive. :/ It all worked out and the attendant pitched in with the table moves. We joked about making her have to work so hard. She had a good sense of humor. The guests really enjoyed the booth and all the props. The venue staff even got into the picture taking spirit. I highly endorse Smile U Are Famous. They put me in charge of finding a photobooth for the job's holiday party (200+ people). Having such a responsibility, i was determined to find the best photo booth at a reasonable cost. I went through many options before I settled for Smile U Are Famous. I was a little sketchy initially because although they are listed as a 24hour service, they do not always get to the phones (but they WILL call you back). However, that is minor in comparison to the excellent service I received and great reviews I got from my coworkers. They arrived on time, set up was easy and the attendants were very very accommodating and pleasant. Lewis (who I later found out was the manager) was beyond amazing. Every question I had prior to the event was answered, very call was returned and always friendly on the phone. I booked Smile U Are Famous after seeing a Groupon promotion for the inflatable booth, but instead I went for the open air booth. After seeing many positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to book them. The booking process was smooth and easy to make initial deposit and payment. In December, I was emailed to get ideas on how I wanted the photo strip template to be designed. However, four days before the event, I still had not received any sample templates, and I had to email the company personally to receive them. On a more positive note, the setup was beautiful, the attendant Chris was accommodating and professional to the crowd of adults and kids, and the props were appropriate for the event. I was not disclosed however that the 4by6 print does not print two per session, only the 2by3 strip, and became aware of this the day of the event. But overall, the value, price and professionalism of the Photo Booth was amazing compared to other companies. Will definitely use them again. read more

I was looking for a nice and affordable photobooth for my daughters' graduation party and came across this from Groupon. It was the last day to buy for the discounted price and just took my chance and email them. I got a call right away and so I inquired. The woman I spoke with said she would honor the groupon rate if I will make the reservation on that day. And so I did. July 1st came, the party day, and although the staffs were 30 minutes late, they were apologetic and said they would extend the time. We rented the inflatable photobooth and it was a hit! The template for the pictures came out really nice. And the quality of the pictures are really great! My friends and families enjoyed it and cannot tell me enough how the pictures are coming out great!. The staffs are also nice. Best decision I've made to gift for a sweet 16! The whole party had a blast with the cool props that the booth had to offer. Also the strips were so cute! Emailed response in less than 24 hours, literally instant response. You receive sample templates for you to pick. The design team, worked with me with what I wanted for design. The personnel for day of appeared on time and did their set up in a timely manner. They did the job! They were courteous to the whole party! Manners is everything and they exceeded that. Great job last night, our wedding was a blast and it was a highlight of the night! The host was professional and everyone had tons of fun at the wedding at the photobooth. The gold backdrop we went with was great on the pictures! I'm taking one star off, because we were not 100% pleased with the final edited design of layout for photos as we were "capped" with number of edits (understandable since they offered more reasonable prices than competitors) but we did not find the outsourced graphic designer's passive aggressiveness towards our wedding ideas very professional. Obviously when it comes to wedding planning, it's expected that final results are as close to customer's wishes as possible. Everything was Excellent!! They are how they described themselves: #1 NYC photobooth! My event was last night and all my family and friends are still talking about it. Had a birthday party for my mom in law. There were people of all ages and sometimes it is hard to take pictures of all of them. Everybody took pictures in the photobooth and had a blast!! They did not disappoint. A.J. and his associate did such an amazing job with the open air booth! They arrived on time, set up quickly and they were super friendly and professional. Hired them for my cousin's birthday party. On time and courteous the booth operator set up early and was willing to stay longer for extra when I realized everyone hadn't taken a photo yet and they were enjoying it so much. The operator even kept one of each printed photo for us to scrap book! AND we still had access to the photos online for my little cousin to link to on Facebook! I recommend them. Be sure you have power access. They had a long extension cord, but I still had to shift a couch to get at an outlet. Not their fault, but I didn't realize every other plug was being used in my house for the party!!! I heard about them from a friend. Not only was the attendant great (and complied with COVID-19 requirements) but the booth was fun, props were appropriate for the event, and the quality of the pictures were outstanding.
