I got my wisdom teeth removed here about a month ago and have nothing but great things to say about…read morethe experience thanks to the wonderful staff! Every person there was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful from start to finish. It is a clean and well-kept space. I lost a tiny part of my piercing preparing for the X-ray, and I didn't mind at all, but one of the staff members found it on the ground and cleaned it for me! Dr. Barunas did a fantastic job with the surgery and even called me a few hours afterwards to make sure I was okay. All four teeth were impacted, which had been causing me pretty severe jaw pain for about a year and a half. After my procedure, I have zero jaw pain! It's only been a month, but the difference has been life changing, and I'm very grateful :)

Where do I start? At our follow up appointment with our regular dentist, we discovered the endodontist worked on the wrong tooth! Yup, she performed a root canal on a perfectly healthy tooth! Neglected the other tooth and by the time we got her back in there to do the tooth that needed work it was too late to save it. Fast forward, here we are again referred to get a root canal retreat on a front tooth. After months of waiting for appointment for consult, they insisted dentist needed to remove cap in order to redo root canal. Back to dentist we go. Dentist insists there's no need, it would cost us out of pocket expenses ($700-) for new cap and that endo can do procedure through back of tooth without interruption to cap. Back to Endo, who proceeds to give attitude and give worry that it will crack and then she will have no tooth. We decide to proceed and take our chances. Surprise, they could do the procedure without ruining the cap! We waited over an hour to get called back. The hygienist/assistant was so nice and helped calm my daughter's angst. She said procedure should be 20-25 min. Endo comes in, daughter asked couple questions of what to expect, mentioning the assistants quote of 20-25 min timeline. He snapped and cockily said "no, if she thinks she can do it in that time then SHE can do the procedure herself". I had to bite my tongue, as I didn't want to give him reason to take it out on my daughter. More attitude. The guy is an arrogant jerk. Her dentist cannot do follow up to finish filling now until they send x-ray for them to submit to insurance co. It's been a week, and I have called numerous times... no answer. This place is a joke and unprofessional. If there are other options in your insurance network- go somewhere else.

Subject: Feedback on Recent Root Canal Experience at South Jersey Endodontics…read more Dear South Jersey Endodontics Team, I recently experienced a severe toothache due to an infection in tooth #30 and visited my DMO-preferred dentist, Dr. Samir Patel, for advice. Although the tooth had no prior symptoms of infection, he recommended that I see an endodontist at South Jersey Endodontics. Having had a previous root canal procedure done by Dr. Steven Ryu with an excellent, pain-free experience, I requested to see him again. However, I was informed that he was unavailable, and instead, I was scheduled with Dr. Divya Trikannad, whom I had not worked with before. Upon my visit, an X-ray was taken, followed by a recommendation for a 360° CT scan, which I was told would provide better clarity for the procedure. I was informed that this scan was not covered by insurance and would cost $300 out-of-pocket. Although I agreed to proceed, I had never been required to undergo this scan in my past root canal treatments. Unfortunately, despite this additional imaging, my experience during and after the procedure was extremely painful, to the point where I had to take three days off from work to recover. I genuinely question the necessity of the 360° CT scan, as it did not seem to contribute to a smoother or less painful procedure. In my opinion, this additional step felt more like an unnecessary cost rather than a true benefit to patient care. Ultimately, I ended up paying more than what my insurance covered, and the experience did not meet my expectations. I sincerely urge your team to avoid imposing unwarranted procedures on patients, especially when experienced professionals in your practice have successfully handled similar cases without them in the past. Finally, I understand that reviews reflect individual experiences, and expectations can vary from person to person. It's often challenging to judge a service or practitioner based on a single review, as a collective opinion is usually more informative. My intention here is not to defame the practitioner or the group that provided my treatment, but rather to share my personal experience, which was significantly different from my previous root canal procedures--both with this group and elsewhere. Unfortunately, this particular incident severely impacted me during and after the procedure, unlike any I've had before. I encourage anyone reading my review to consider it as part of a broader perspective and to make informed decisions based on multiple viewpoints. Best regards, Kannan Varadachari

I also needed fillings, and since his next appointment had cancelled on him, he was able to fit me in right then and there for my fillings (which was awesome for me and my schedule because it means I don't have to go back right away). He was very thorough in explaining every step of the process, answered all of my questions, and had a very kind, fun demeanor and chairside manner--I felt completely at ease with him. He's definitely the most friendly and personable dentist I've ever had. I have very sensitive teeth, but Dr. Wong was very patient with me. We tried to do a filling without Novocaine (because it wasn't very deep and a filling such as this wouldn't typically require it), but when we started treatment and had to stop to numb me up, he took it in stride. He listened to all of my dental concerns and offered solutions. He didn't try to upsell me on any unnecessary treatments or services, which is something I've noticed a lot of dentists do. The only thing he tried to "sell" me was an electric toothbrush, and he didn't pitch it to me like it was something I needed to buy or my teeth were going to fall out without it, it was more along the lines of, "This is my recommendation, this is the product I recommend, and I just so happen to sell it here in my office if you're interested." I also want to say that Dr. Wong's assistant and his office staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I can't recommend Dr. Wong and his practice highly enough. I'm looking forward to keeping him as my dentist for a long time to come.

I now have an abscess on my 14th tooth and have to go to an alternative dentist to receive ANOTHER root canal on the same tooth. When I called Pavilion Dental to see if they could redo the root canal they actually referred me to go somewhere else after I asked if they would do it at a discounted price. The reason I have to have the root canal redone is because they missed the fourth canal on the tooth. It seems to be that they are salty that I asked for a discount price. When I was there they were not very nice nor very confident when working on me and also told me for additional lidocaine it would cost extra. Not happy about this and in a lot of pain.

About a week before the appointment, the front desk called and asked if we could move our appointments to 11:00 AM. I told them that wouldn't work for us, and they said that was fine. During the same phone call, I specifically asked the receptionist to confirm that both my wife and I were still scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 27, because I wanted to make sure we weren't accidentally booked on different dates. The receptionist clearly confirmed that both appointments were at 10:00 AM. However, when we arrived today, I was called in for my cleaning first. After I finished, I noticed my wife was still sitting in the waiting room. When I asked why she hadn't been called, the front desk told us that she wasn't scheduled for today at all and that her appointment was supposedly next month. We were completely confused because we showed them the appointment confirmation text message, which clearly stated June 27 at 10:00 AM. Even after seeing the confirmation, the receptionist simply said they didn't know why it happened. This is extremely unprofessional. It appears that this office changed my wife's appointment without notifying us. This isn't even the first time they've tried to change our appointment--they had previously called asking to reschedule, but we declined. Somehow, despite that, they still ended up separating our appointments without our knowledge. We planned our schedules around these appointments and booked them six months in advance, only to have one of them changed without any notice. This shows a serious lack of organization and respect for patients' time. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dental office.

I drove 1.5 hours to my appointment, checked in, and waited 45 minutes before the front desk finally told me that my appointment had been moved to July. No one called, texted, or emailed me to let me know it had been changed. The receptionist just kept saying she wasn't the one who made the appointment and there was nothing she could do. No one offered a solution or even tried to fit me in. What disappointed me the most was that the dentist never came out to explain what happened or apologize. After a 3-hour round trip and waiting 45 minutes, I left without getting my cleaning.
