I know that the statement only states an approximate. But it's a huge difference paying over a $1000 more then stated on the plan. 2. There was one assistant that helped doing the fillings and it seemed like she was new because she needed a lot of help and sometimes she will hurt me by not knowing what she was doing. It took a lot longer then it should and it was really painful and keeping my mouth open while she had to get someone to help her multiple times during the treatment was really annoying. I had a few fillings done that day and I wish they'd had someone scheduled that was a little more gentle and faster and more experienced. I wouldn't mind and would be more understanding if I had only a little work done. Still a good place to go to and I'll keep going because of the doctors and their hygienist. Hope thought that I don't have as many surprising bills and maybe the assistant is better trained next time.

This action contradicts the practice's stated commitment to children with special needs and shows disregard for long-standing patients. Completely unacceptable. Update: In searching for a new pediatric dentist, I have discovered that it is far from common to bar parents or guardians from staying with their children during treatment. Many practices, Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry for example, intentionally include seating in their treatment bays so family members can remain present. This raises a troubling question: why is Carolina Pediatric Dentistry so determined to keep parents/guardians out? What are they trying to hide?
