She was able to effectively find and treat a problem in one of my molars. My review has more to do with the office policies and the staff. So, I went for my first appointment and I was very happy, then I was referred to an endodontist and he was also very professional. I was scheduled with Gwinnett Family Dentistry (GFD) for a second appointment to finally get a crown in my molar, so they call me (GFD) and schedule my appointment, very nice lady, never mentioned any of their policies regarding changes or cancellations. On a Thursday, i receive a confirmation call from GFD and again, the nice lady never mentioned any of their policies or how long the procedure will take. So I confirm that I'm attending to my appointment, thinking that the procedure will take about an hour like in my first appointment, but what do I know??.. I'm just the patient who's never ever had a crown treatment before. So I call the day of my appointment, which was Monday, around 7:30-ish... I get Ingrid on the phone and I ask her how long is the treatment going to take? and she says "2 hours", and obviously I had no idea of the length because I was never informed. So I panic and I tell her that I can't make it because of work, I didn't know it would take 2 hours, and I have to reschedule..... I understand that I'm calling at the last minute, BUT.. Aren't they (GFD) supposed to inform you of these details before your actual appointment?? Anyways, she tells me there is a cancellation fee, and I tell her that I'm NOT cancelling, I'm rescheduling because I was not informed that the procedure would take that long. So she insists that is the same because is in the same day, less than 48 hours before my appointment. I get very upset, and I tell her that if they charge me a cancellation fee I will go to another dentists, obviously Ingrid doesn't care. She tell me that the administrator will be at their office the next day and she will call me... After a few minutes I call back and ask Ingrid how much the cancellation fee is?.... And her answer????.... " I don't know, the admin will call you tomorrow"... that never happened.... A week after, I receive a bill from them, it's only for $15, the original amount was $50 but after some credit they made I only "have" to pay $15, NOT my point... So my problem is..... Ingrid, works in that office, SHE tells me about the cancellation fee, but she doesn't know the amount.... So, how am I supposed to know about their policies if they never ever EVER mentioned them to me, the policies are not in their website and I was never informed by any of their staff, not when I scheduled my appointment and not when the nice lady called me to confirm my appointment.... But I have to know them????? Can someone please tell me what is the logic here????

Never and I mean never has this been done with a cleaning at any other office in Georgia... Upon checking out the Dental Hygenist gave me a care package with all the necessities for good hygiene . They also recommended some products that were sold at the office. I went along with anything suggested because I felt so good!!! Dr. Gilleland and Dr Gupta told me I didn't need all of the expensive dental work the other 2 dental group tried to get me for and they fixed my issues for a lot less with great results. Dr. Gilleland even totally re-did my crown because he did not like the way it was sitting, he didn't just try to drill and fix it. I really appreciate him going the extra mile. This decision is not a reflection of the dentist or the clinical care, which has always been satisfactory. Unfortunately, it is the result of ongoing issues with the back-office billing process under the current office management. Due to repeated billing negligence, I was forced to pay over $600 out of pocket, ultimately including payment to a collection agency for charges that should have been properly handled and reconciled by the office. Today, when I contacted the office to have my account reviewed after resolving the collection, I was placed on hold for over an hour without resolution. After nearly two decades of loyalty, this level of billing mismanagement and lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. Patients should not bear financial consequences due to administrative errors, nor should they have to expend excessive time attempting to correct them. As a result, I will be transitioning myself and my family to a dental practice that demonstrates greater accountability and appreciation for its patients.

I needed an affordable place to receive dental care, and this wasn't it. Their website says "we…read morework with you, we are affordable don't worry, make an appointment" At my first appointment they did a bunch of X-rays. And then the dentist came in and said my teeth were too bad to clean today and that my bite was messed up and I needed Invisalign. I politely explained that I wasn't going to be able to afford Invisalign, and she said "don't worry we can open up a credit line", as if I was just dying to go into debt over dental luxuries I can't afford. They printed out a treatment plan, and scheduled me a cleaning. The office manager person walked me through the bullet points and had me sign it. It was very expensive even after the discount I bought for $99. Hundreds of dollars for the cleaning, and thousands for the cavity fillings. I haven't had a proper cleaning in a couple years and I really wanted to get one done so I sucked it up and scheduled it. I said "let's just do the cleaning for now" and they once again offered me a credit line. On the cleaning day, they did a deep clean and got underneath my gums and I'm glad they did that. It wasn't horrendously painful but I was having discomfort and I could tell the hygienist was getting frustrated by me. I was trying my hardest to sit still and follow instructions and it definitely felt like she had zero patience. Too much liquid filled up my throat and I coughed and she was upset because I might spit on her or something. At the end she requested a 4 month follow up , and I said I probably wouldn't be able to afford another cleaning for a while, and she told me how irresponsible that was. Like obviously I would love more regular dental care. It ended with her reminding me once again they could open up a credit line. It really felt like they were trying to get me to go into debt over the dental care and it seems like they're trying to trick and extract money from low income patients who don't know better. They really were advising me to go thousands of dollars in debt on Invisalign. As for the cavities, a local family dentist office nearby me offered to fill those cavities for around 1/4 the cost Affordable Dental Care Quoted. The receptionist with red hair was super nice and friendly so I wanna shout her out though.

I had an incredibly upsetting experience at Lilburn Family Dentistry. I was told I needed 10-15…read morecrowns, multiple cavities filled, all of my silver fillings (done in the last 4 years) were supposedly cracking my teeth, and that a possible root canal might be necessary -- but I'd need to pay extra just to find out if that was even true. On top of that, they said I'd need a deep cleaning that would cost $300 after insurance, even though I've never paid for cleanings with my current coverage. To top it off, the dentist informed me that after all those crowns, she would need to whiten my teeth -- it honestly felt like I was sitting through a sales pitch, not a dental exam. I left the office in tears, overwhelmed and scared. Thankfully, I went for a second opinion at a reputable dentist and was told I have zero cavities and only need one crown for an old filling, which my insurance would cover. I will never return to Lilburn Family Dentistry and would strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment plan from this office.

I called to make an appointment because I was told my tooth must be pulled. I am way overdue to…read morehave this done because there is infection. so I called the place I was referred to and made an appointment to get my tooth pulled. When I got there, they said we're not doing that today. We're just doing a consultation! A consultation for any questions you may have. Just a consultation just for your questions. Got it. but on the way out, she said, "no this was an exam!" and it wasn't just my questions. He put tools in my mouth and poked around. That does not sound like a consultation to me. That is an exam. I I kind of felt assaulted. Over and above all that... the doctor asked if I had depression because I started to get a little upset. I said yes. he said, "is it diagnosed". I said, "yes, I have bipolar and I have severe degenerative disc disease and he was asking about my depression and anxiety, if the cannabis helps and if that's why I'm taking it, for the anxiety. he had questions about why I'm taking my legally prescribed cannabis. Then he said that they could not sedate me that I would have to go somewhere else. That's fine. But he said that he would not be able to manage me and I need the sedation so I need to go somewhere else!. I said, "what do you mean you can't MANAGE ME?!" he said, "yes I would not be able to manage you and your mental problems!!" can you believe that shit?! I'm about to call the Americans with Disabilities Association!! In the beginning, he wouldn't even let me ask questions. He kept acting like I should just be quiet and let him talk. Also, it's none of your damn business why I am legally prescribed cannabis! ‍ now he's going to make me feel ashamed and trigger my depression. No, I don't think so, but for someone who is not as strong as me, yes, very likely! his nurse even slammed the door, leaving the waiting room because she was trying to say that he couldn't manage me because I needed sedation and I said, "no! I clarified it. I had said, "you mean you cannot manage me because of the sedation?" he's like, "...and I would not be able to manage you and your mental problems!" And apparently he did trigger me because that was how my mom described me when I got in the car and started my rant I even put this little interaction on TikTok, @Fraidy.Cat. The check out clerk apologized though.. she was very nice and I wish her the best! I have no complaints about the young lady at the checkout counter.
