I did a working interview for this practice two weeks ago and I have yet to receive payment for my services. As any working interview you do, you would usually get paid the same day or latest the day after. I have never had an issue with a practice paying me and I feel I'm pulling teeth from this practice just to get a days check. They are really an unorganized practice and not alot of people skills in the front. The welcoming in the office from the manager was very dry no communication there after. Please do not do a working interview at this place because you will be waiting for payment forever. They do good work for basic dental. They will NEVER call you back, no matter how many times you speak with someone or leave messages. Getting a nightguard here was a disaster, and months later they gave us a partial refund but no night guard. It seems like there are no supervisors to help, only friendly employees that don't know how to accomplish tasks beyond making appointments. I hate leaving them a bad review as they seem really nice, but outside of basic dental, they have shown us no care or respect. read more

Visited this Dentist and I loved him. Was planning to come back but office never contacted me. Also I think I frustrated him with my script craziness from Kaiser. This was by far the worst dental experience I've ever had! Being a new resident of the Jackson area, I wanted to avoid having to commute to the city to get dental care. As a supporter of people of color, I gave this dentist a chance since he was also from Jackson. As a result of my first visit, I was terrified. X-rays were taken by a young lady who had no idea what she was doing. A young woman who was totally unfamiliar with dental X-rays took my X-rays. Over 30 minutes were spent on X-rays. Assuming she was new to the profession, I was very patient with her and endured the torture. After that, the hygienist entered. The time it took her to clean my teeth was less than five minutes. There is no flossing, nothing! Afterwards, the dentist himself arrived, who is all about the Benjamins. A broken tooth and a decaying tooth that needed a filling were pointed out by me. After barely looking inside my mouth, he recommended extractions and a filling. Here we are on the day of the extractions. I met another young lady who prepared me for extractions. I saw the same foolishness in the young lady on day one who had problems with her X-rays. The lady insisted that I need X-rays, which I told her I had already had my first visit. It appears that she was looking at the wrong tab on their portal. Next door, another patient appeared to be experiencing complications. "Jesus wept!" I thought to myself. How did I get into this mess? Another young lady asked what codes meant. In response, the dentist said, "missing tooth." My heart started pounding again. As I prayed, I asked God to keep me safe during this procedure because I think I am dealing with people who are ignorant of the profession. Upon entering my mouth, the dentist looked at the same tooth we had agreed to fill on my first visit. Considering I was already nervous about the extractions and everything else going on in the building, my response to him seemed harsh. His response, "ma'am, calm down! Just calm down! Excuse me, it is impossible for me to relax with all that is happening right now. Anyway, we had the teeth extracted and another tooth was filled that he had chipped in the process, but did not mention. It will now require me to seek additional dental care elsewhere. The young lady who prepped me insisted that another X-ray be taken after extractions. In accordance with doctor's instructions, a vest was required to be worn during X-rays as I was pregnant. The idiot had to be reminded that I needed a vest. Despite her apparent irritation, I did not care that she had to get one. Protecting myself and my child was my top priority. Even if this was the last dental office in the area, I STILL WOULD NOT GO!!! I will not be returning and you should also be cautious about coming here yourself! read more

Love this place! They got me in and out really quickly. I had my insurance information handy and let the receptionist know ahead of time. The hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth and the doctor was really nice and explained my X-rays for me. read more

I called to cancel A same day appointment due to Bad weather It's Grey,raining , and lightning on my side of Locust Grove I was told I would be charged $75 dollars cancellation fee that's due to bad weather which is really beyond my control Needless to say I will be finding another Dental Practice......if anybody have any suggestions for children dentistry in the Locust Grove or McDonough Area let me know also my sons filling fell out his tooth the same day!!!! I can only say great things about Dr. Jenkins and his staff. They are professional and knowledgeable. I'm one of those who are afraid every time I go to the dentist...it's just something about sounds of the equipment. like they might hit my brain. I know but I'm just saying. They are very rude and argumentative over the phone. They give give misleading information about the appointment and then cancel your appointment when you call them out which is what happened to me. I never made it in so I can't comment on actual services. Extremely rude. Do not book here and if you do please ask very specific questions about what exactly you are looking for to see if this office is a good fit for you. They also will charge a $50 fee for everything. Aside I went for my appointment was there on time but, somehow it was more time I waited and after being called sit in a chair to wait some more so I had to leave I got another appointment. Before I explain why I seek a better dentist is that I've had my teeth cleaned as a young adult and I know when my teeth are being properly cleaned. I went back to my 2nd appointment the hygienist was very nice but, in my experience she missed the whole back of my teeth cleaning it just wasn't done the way I'm use and this clinic is not the first here in Ga that I've been since 2019 the dental hygienist are not cleaning my teeth properly and afterwards I've always known my dental doctor to check their work, the doctor never came in and check my cleaning afterwards, I mean what's the point my insurance only pays for cleaning every 6 mos and when I get their you want a whole mouth round of X-ray costing me $ out of pocket then get me in the chair and half clean my teeth. Pay attention to new customers bc they just might have had A1 treatment somewhere else and they may not say anything but, will not come back! Do your job you're being paid to do! My teeth were dirty in the back. I will pay extra to have a real cleaning and now looking to find reviews. read more

The people seem like good people, but the beating around the bush isn't my style. I'd like to get the hour of my life back that I spent sitting there only to find out that I have to come back to get anything done. I haven't been to a dentist in years and informed this office of such. Typically, when you make an appointment to be seen after not having been to a dentist, they schedule a cleaning and exam to get familiar with your mouth. I feel like I wasted an hour, since all they did was take x-rays and tell me I needed to schedule a cleaning for another day, and then the other half of my mouth would be cleaned on a third visit, because of my insurance. Then I would have to make a fourth visit to have some work done. No thanks. Two trips is all I'm willing to do, and I can see how this is being drawn out in order to keep cash flow coming to their establishment. I'm not blaming it all on this place - our society is broken and manipulated by elite mob rule. The insurance won't pay for everything all at once, so these people have to break up your visits, which breaks up and interrupts your life... I can book a trip to Brazil and get all my teeth looked after and have a vacation with what will be nick picked and strung out through multiple sessions here. I'm a one and done kinda person, but I see where this first visit is leading. No thanks. read more

I'm one of the people with serious anxiety when visiting the dentist office. I've had my first dentist visit at the Smile Parlor and the visit was very different from any previous dentist visits I have ever had. The atmosphere was warm and friendly instead of sterile and cold. I have never, ever had a dentist explain to me why, what, and where like this dentist. Dr. Jenkins handed me a mirror so I could see what he was seeing while he examined my teeth. I really understand my treatment plan because my dentist took the time to make sure I understood everything. I think I've found my dentist-mate.
