The 5 star testimonials from other patients are not the kind of care I experienced. I think Dr…read moreVickers was distracted with family matters and did a rush job with my surgery. I would have been willing and preferred to wait for a later date for this surgery. Carefully do your own research and studies on the Internet. The office shows a video of implant surgery. I wish I had had a better education of what kind of problems to be aware of, and when to call the office. Implants are not perfect like the office video implies. There can be side effects and problems. I would have preferred knowing the down side of full mouth implants so I could make an educated guess/decision rather than rely on what a surgeon wanted me to hear For post surgery concerns, the office at Texas Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants instructed me to call the lab, which answers the phone 24/7. Nope. I called the lab. A few days later I heard a response on my voice mail (I'm paraphrasing here) "I'm at the Chicago airport, and not in the office, so I can't look at my records right now to answer your question. I'll see you in the office on Monday ." I was the patient. But, I had to turn into a detective to discover what problems needed attention. I relied too much on the Dr to make these decisions - bad mistake. I'm now considering paying for an independent consultation for help to understand what this business should have helped me understand. Five weeks before the scheduled final exam for the permanent implants, the assistant Dr announced, at that Monday appointment previously mentioned, that this was my last visit with the office The final decisions were going to be made that day, and I should visit my regular dentist should any other problems arise. Also my regular Dentist would install the implants. Surprise! How did I miss this? And how did I miss there would be an additional dental charge for crowns on top of the lower jaw implants? There was still swelling and I should have refused signing the paperwork acknowledging this as my final visit. The completely satisfied guarantee no longer applied. Dr Vicker's caring phone call came late at night, long after I was asleep. Don't be impressed by this service. My surgery was 9 months ago. I am still struggling to understand what might be causing my post surgical problems. Before my surgical date, the Flower Mound office called to ask if I would be willing to change my surgical date to a week earlier so the office could book an anesthesiologist for two surgeries on the same day. I agreed to do so - no problem. However, on the day of surgery, the office asked me to sign a form allowing Dr Vickers to administer the anesthesia. I read the paperwork work carefully and discovered this change without being advised of the change. My answer: "NO!" I have enough medical concerns that I doubted Dr Vickers would watch carefully even though his is "trained" in administering anesthesia. The anesthesiologist spent 30 minutes asking questions about my medical concerns related to anesthesia. I doubt I spent 5 minutes total with Dr Vickers before and after surgery. I learned a few months ago, that anesthesia is not required for this surgery. I would have appreciated knowing this so I could make an informed decision. I regret letting myself be rushed into these upper and lower implants. A few weeks after surgery and many questions later, I discovered the work for a $2400.00 charge was not done. I requested a refund and tge office graciously sent the refund.I think Dr Vickers failed to inform his billing department of the surgical changes. Don't rush into trusting this surgeon to do the surgery. Most of these reviews are old. Dr Vickers seems to have turned from a careful, attentive surgeon to a carefully calculated coorporate "get her done" attitude. There are analysts in the business world making loads of money by advising doctors how to build their practice, make more money and have more free time. Do your research to find this. I believe there are other oral surgeons in the area that are well-educated, experienced, and are able to be careful and more helpful. The office staff is pleasant. Dr Vickers is pleasant. Don't be fooled or manipulated by this.

I felt embarrassed by that. I went into my first appointment here with the thought that none of my teeth were salvageable and I would need implants for every tooth. I had set the bar low because I had already grieved everything that my invisible illness had taken from me at such a young age. I didn't want to feel judged. That being said, Dr. Anver completely shifted my perspective. He was encouraging and comforting, while still respecting my perspective. He came up with a treatment plan catered to my own personal goals and was determined to do whatever he could to help me. I literally cried in the office because I had not expected that response at all, and he gave me the space and time to do so. His team does a phenomenal job at making their clients feel at home, creating a safe and welcoming environment for their guests, and answering any and all questions you may have. They made sure they met me where I was at and met any needs and expectations I had. They are the absolute best, and I would highly recommend them! (P.S. they play the best music too )

They worked very well with my insurance, and gave payment options if needed. They really watch to see if you have any pain during procedures and try to minimize it for you. This is our new dentist, and my wife and I have been twice, and had excellent service both times.

Great Expressions is corporate owned and operated and frankly, it shows. This is not the kind of…read moredentist I want to go to, so I am still looking. However, there are things that may make this worth it to some people. Your information will be in the system if you need to go to Great Expressions in different cities. That has to be a plus for people who travel a lot. Though they recently went down to only one a month, they do have Saturday options, which I initially found appealing due to my work schedule. I didn't enjoy my experiences here and won't be coming back, but that doesn't necessarily mean it wouldn't be a better fit for you. I was pretty surprised at some of the things I was seeing, so I researched other locations and see they run the same way with many complaints being repeated by patients in multiple cities. For me, that's not the kind of treatment I want. This location does have a great dental hygienist with a great bedside manner named Sam, a very nice front office person named Morgan and an office manager named Chad that will take care of things, fix them, handle complaints, etc in a competent manner. For that reason, and the potential convenience *others* may find in them being a corporation, I gave them an extra star. However, no one at this location (and I suspect any location) communicates very well, it's up to you to ask a lot of questions, otherwise nothing seems to make sense. As a company they handle insurance claims completely different from every other dentist and specialist I or my husband has been to in 16 years. For me, this was not acceptable and a very big factor for not returning. In order to avoid being overcharged or receiving incorrect bills I had to call constantly, and stand my ground depending on who I was talking to. Previous dentists have quoted and billed insurance the first time and that's what I expect. This one was initially billing as out of network because some other department wasn't on top of the details I suppose. I also dealt with some employees being extremely insulting and condescending to me on this issue and claiming I not only owed this additional money, but even more. Also in regards to insurance, they do not actually talk to your insurance when presenting you with the estimate. They also insisted my insurance covered an expensive treatment that I know they do not. They also tried to insist I would have to pay a fee on something that my insurance covers at 100%. Lying? Maybe. Negligence? More likely. Therefore I strongly recommend you be vigilant. Unfortunately, I know my insurance and normal dental procedures intimately, so I was able to spot issues very quickly. When I went for my cleaning I was there for an hour and a half and left without a cleaning being done. Unacceptable. When I declined to do the more expensive treatment and asked that they please do the normal cleaning that I was now several months behind on, the dentist refused and actually tried to cite legal reasons. Then the staff claimed my insurance would cover it at 100%. Both of these things are completely untrue. This is the only dentist ever who refused to give me a cleaning at all when I wouldn't give in to their high pressure tactics. Apparently, it's better to get no cleaning at all then get what I scheduled my appointment for and give them less money. I was also left sitting in the chair unattended for 30 minutes after this conversation occurred. That is just wrong and again, there was no communication to me whatsoever. This is when I knew I wouldn't be back after we completed the work we needed done. When my husband got his work done, I was shocked to see the dentist give him multiple shots immediately without discussion. I've never seen anyone administer that many, even for really serious procedures in really sensitive areas. I was wondering if it was safe, but mostly it was the lack of explanation that bothered me. When I went to get my filling, nothing was offered to me, not even a topical, and they ended up removing an old metal filling from 20 years ago which did not feel great. When visits are so inconsistent, it makes it difficult for me to trust the business. I'm sure there was a reason, but again with the lack of communication, leaving me to wonder what their deal is. There are more instances, three of which included an unacceptably rude attitude that should never be used with people, much less patients. However, Yelp only allows so much room. These examples were the biggest reasons for me personally deciding to look elsewhere, you may have a different set of standards. They were very poor communicators and I need to know exactly what is going on and their reasoning to be comfortable seeing an office in any medical field. Some people prefer not to know and just get in and out. I think a majority of these practices are by direction of the corporation more so than this specific location. However, I'm more than a number, so I won't be returning.

Do not go here! Death by waterpik awaits! There is a reason I went to the same out of network…read moredentist and drive an hour to see him for 10 years! Because of places like this!!! Imagine getting a cleaning and them skipping the entire upper right quadrant. Imagine getting a very minor front tooth filling replaced while getting waterboarded by your dentist. Imagine being charged for several services they didn't even do then attitude when the office has to correct it. The filling fell out the same day!?!? How is that quality work? The dentist also said I didn't need a root canal but I very clearly do and am still in pain. I definitely won't let him do it anyway! I would not let him clean my dog's teeth. They told me to contact their customer care team which never called back. I am getting a refund and you are not billing my insurance since I have to go get another dentist to fix your work.

My insurance paid for a service a did not fully receive. i politely called 3 times to see if the dentist would simply tell me if they found cavities. It's a month later and no response. This is unacceptable of any "professional" medical establishment.
