The office is clean and welcoming and the staff is professional and friendly. I was particularly impressed by the hygienist who cleaned my teeth, Tara. She communicated with me the whole way through, so I knew what to expect. Dr. Bisson was also really great! He was generous with his time and his expertise. I feel like I got excellent care and am so grateful to the team at Bisson.

Dr. Bisson took the initiative and went ahead and touched up a filling that was given by another dentist multiple years ago that could have used improvement, completely complimentary. I was a first-time patient and I took the opportunity to schedule a six month checkup as well! Would absolutely recommend Bisson to anyone in the Brookings area.

And now that they have moved into their new offices they no longer value clients who have been with the practice since they started. they are becoming too big and impersonal. On numerous occasions they have fouled up insurance billing and we have spent hours on the phone with insurance company to straighten out what turned out was simply filed wrong by dentist office. when both the insurance company and myself have tried to explain billing process the staff gets very rude and indignant because they "can't possibly be doing it wrong". And Heaven forbid you want to speak to the Dentist without the 'approval' of the front desk because they will get indignant and very argumentativ because they don't want him to see how they talk to clients when outside of his presence. We will be taking our business elsewhere, where clients feedback is appreciated and clients are valued for their loyalty.

When she came out she was so drugged up it was terrifying . It was obvious she had been crying yet the staff never came to ask me how to proceed or inform me. Instead she told me how the one technician had informed her if she kept crying she would throw up and she would have to clean it up if she did. This was a scared 4 yr old child and that is how they dealt with her! Absolutely disgusting and I would never use a dentist geared towards children again. I switched to an elderly dentist who did not specialize in children and she never had an issue, he never scared her or hurt her. She was of course afraid at first thinking it might be like this place , but once she saw it wasn't she was fine. Thank goodness she didnt end up afraid of dentists forever.

This is the most expensive dentist I have ever been to. Furthermore, they are deceptive in the way they do business in order to extract more money from you. They do not inform you of costs up front, they take your child back to do x-rays and lo and behold, the x rays cost almost $200. This is confirmed by the fact that they do not want the parents in the exam room. They know that if the parents saw all that they were doing back there, they would object because who wants to spend almost $400 on a dentist visit just for cleanings and an X-ray? Their manner with parents is also demeaning. They speak loudly about your child's cavities in front of other patients. There is zero concern about privacy. I am never going back to this dentist and I recommend parents look elsewhere for their child's needs.
