I went to MDE for a check-up and cleaning. My last dental cleaning was roughly one year before this visit, but at a different clinic so this was my first time to MDE. I was able to get into the room at my scheduled time, which was nice not having to wait. I found the staff very friendly and they were quite enjoyable to talk to. I had x-rays taken and was told I had 9 cavities which all needed to be filled. I found it strange that they only showed me three cavities while we examined the large x-ray pictures and not all 9. I thought 9 cavities was unusually high as I had previously only had 4 cavities my whole life. I also thought the prices seemed expensive to have the cavities filled. I decided to get a second opinion before taking any action. I went to a new dental clinic a few days later and had x-rays taken during the exam. I was told I had three cavities. I had the cavities filled at the second location and for a cheaper price. About 6 months after I had the cavities filled I went to yet another dentist office for a regular cleaning and x-rays. The third dental location told me I had 2 small cavities, but they said there was no need to fill them at this time as they had not broken through the enamel. My dental visits to the 2nd and 3rd locations proved to me that MDE was not being honest or has no idea what they are doing. I do not recommend MDE. read more

I had such a fantastic experience here I just have to share. The first was the phone call to set the appointment- the person who answered the phone was so friendly. I had a lot of pain, but her voice and manner gave me great assurance. This was followed up by the visit to the office. I was able to download the registration paperwork, so it was a smooth experience. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly. I was there for two minutes before I was whisked back for my appointment. The girl that was working with me was also so friendly as she gathered information and took x-rays. The doctor came in and explained that I needed a root canal and a crown due to a long untreated cavity- my former dentist never saw it, apparently. Anyway, they were able to help me right away- and with my schedule, I opted for the immediate appointment. I was in and out of the office in under two hours. When I was done, I was greeted with the same friendliness and a warm chocolate chip cookie! As long as I live in the area, I will stay with Dr. Frerich. read more

I have always hated dentists. I would have continued after my experiences moving to SW Minnesota if it were not for Dr. Frerich. Because of other YELP reviews, I almost missed this gem. The review from AF is totally false in terms of prices. I went in for a cleaning and a toothache. Because of my fear, I had not been to the dentist in almost 5 years. I have to say the staff was friendly. The cleaning was gentle, and the hygiene person was really friendly. I met the Dr, and he did a examination on my teeth. I did have several cavities, and one tooth was so bad I needed a root canal. There was no pressure, only facts given. I was given a price and had an appointment set. I called the other dentists in town. Some did not do root canals, so they would not give me a price. But for apples to apples pricing, Dr. Frerich was more than competitive. I got the work done by Dr. Frerich- it was painless. I got a crown the same day. I would say this is the best dental experience that I have ever has by a long shot. read more

I came in after years of not seeing a dentist and needed extensive work. Ashamed and afraid at my first visit, but it didn't take long to find out I was in the right place. Simple story: I had not been to the dentist in a number of years because of fear. I found this place on google, and called them up. I was able to get an appointment. From the first phone call all the way through my visit the staff was friendly, professional, and gave me no pressure. I came in for a total of two appointments; they worked at my pace, always asking if I was alright. I felt so comfortable. Dr. Andrew and his staff are great! I brought my 5 year old and 3 year old (her first time at a dentist) and they made it such a great experience. Dr. Andrew found a way to make something that can be scary for kiddos into something fun. I also saw Dr. Andrew for my dental care.
