Today was my first visit with Dr . Stacey Calian who was highly recommended. I drink coffee every morning before work. I don't think i realized how dark my teeth had gotten until today after I received teeth whitening. The receptionist was very customer-oriented and very welcoming. I am so impressed with the whole team at Smile Design , from their exceptionally customer-oriented , friendly,supportive attitudes to the cutting-edge technology and first-rate dental care. I was taken in for the treatment on time and it took exactly 45 minutes as I was told. Dr Calian is outstanding, personal and knowledgeable. So I'm amending my review because after paying $35,000 at the beginning of the treatment and almost 2 years I'm left with a temporary prosthesis and no sufficient answer from the office. They're saying the dentist is out and they have no idea when she will be back. I need my final prosthesis that I paid for! read more

This office is only a money grab. The never order the Invisalign trays and you have an appointment scheduled a month out, the day before you get a call saying the trays are not in yet. You call to make an appointment and the staff doesn't put it on the schedule. You call the office and are put on hold and after 15 minutes the call hangs up. You call the office and ask to speak to a supervisor are put on hold for over 15 minutes, told to leave a number and will receive a call back- never happens. They have your money up front and there is no service after that. The staff changes, the dentists change, you don't know who you will see when you get there. Save yourself the aggravation and find a more reputable office. read more

Short and sweet story 1- long term patient of the practice. 2- Staff began changing long term staff leaving. 3- service level from 5 Stars to ZERO 4- Last appointment for my Invisalign the Dentist working that day had my mouth scanned and asked me what i thought of the results . I said didn't you look at the first i inital scan taken at the start of the process then today's. NO RESPONSE from her. I called for an update as to when my retainer would be in i received several time frames. I finally get a message a few weeks later that they were in ( received the message on a Friday) that i needed to pick up by that monday because they're closing. I had someone pick them up Monday because i was unavailable . Then I called to have my re it's emailed to me and her response se was that they have 1,700 patients to deal with. It's a week later and 3 calls and no response. What an unprofessional office. If there was a zero star i would use it read more

The office charged me at the time of service for a cleaning and X-rays. The dentist was not in the office to consult. They billed my insurance company and the insurance company sent the office the reimbursement check. After 3 months and a dispute with the office clerk. I have still not received a refund from the office. I've called ask to speak with the dentist and the office manager and no one has returned my calls. read more

Excellent and caring staff who are some of the best in their field. The office is well staffed and Dr. Calian offers a wide range of cosmetic and high tech dental solutions to the most difficult of situations. I highly recommend their service offerings for all. Update: just completed another implant! I had a teeth whitening session where my upper and lower lips were burned. The burns lasted 4 days. When I called , they asked for pictures which I sent to them. Dawn called me back to tell me this was completely normal and expected. I couldn't believe my ears! She said doctor looked at my pictures and said this! They refused a refund, forget about an apology! In addition, they collected my money for a cleaning and told me they would submit invoice to my insurance company which they never did!! Probably top 2 worst customer experiences I've received. They make a big deal about you showing up on time and then have you waiting (ALL the time)- even before COVID. The people that work the receptionist desk are sometimes rude and seemed annoyed with questions. The orthodontist always seems lost and doesn't remember anything he said to you the previous sessions- like maybe take notes? I've barely interacted with the dentist but I guess she's okay. They really need nicer staff- don't get annoyed so easily and help make things easier for your customers. Dawn is literally the only person that's nice, takes the time to speak to you, and doesn't act like it's a bother to be nice. If it wasn't because I already paid I wouldn't go back to this place. Please do research before hand and find yourself a place you feel comfortable !!!! read more

If I can give zero stars I would. I was recommended to this place by Dr. Stacie Callahan herself (must say she's an excellent dentist) but this place is AWFUL. I went in for an emergency visit, and while in pain waiting to be seen the finance director dawn barges into the treatment room demanding payment (very unprofessional). Mind you I have dental insurance. Two months after my visit I was promised a refund as my dental insurance covered the procedure have not received it. I call to follow up, and they see my name on the caller ID and refuse to answer. I was told they refunded the money onto my debit card. I spoke to my bank and no refund is even pending. Almost three months and I'm still looking for my money to be returned. I am truly disgusted about how grimmey this place is! And will NOT be returning. read more

The BEST dental practice I have been to as an adult. For years I wanted to find a dentist that eased my anxiety and made me comfortable while giving me great dental care, Smile Design Dental Spa is this place. I first went for Invisalign but after my first appointment, I made Dr Calian my dentist for EVERYTHING. The dental assistants are awesome as well as the office staff. I used a Groupon voucher to do Invisalign treatment at Smile Design Dental Spa and I now regret it. I recommend getting Invisalign done at an office where your treatment is being followed by an orthodontist. Smile Design has a consulting orthodontist but he is only there 1-2 times per month, which makes it extremely inconvenient if you have a complicated case like I did. While I think that most of the staff there are friendly and accommodating, I do believe there are better places to go if you are doing Invisalign. read more

I went to Dr Calian after seeing one other dentist for an evaluation for replacement of older silver fillings and worn out crowns, and one bridge. I was impressed with the office from the moment I walked in. The people at the front desk were inviting, and extremely friendly and seemed concerned about me as a patient. The office decor is very stylish and well done. Beautiful, large pictures of smiling patients made this office stand out. They actually offered and then made me a cappucino! Never got this from a dental office before. I sat down for my evaluation and Dr Calian came in, very attractive, well dressed and professional looking dentist. She seems to put a high value on technology based dentistry that makes the appointment mucg faster-like the CEREC One visit crown and bridges, Zoom! whitening, a painless injection system, all the technology works to make this a very relaxing experience for something that can be quite stressful. Overall I am very happy with the beautiful change Dr Calian has made to my smile. The most amazing aspect was that she is able to do beautiful crowns, bridges and fillings, in one short visit with her CEREC technology. No coming back for a second visit. I am extremely busy, and being able to get everything done in one visit is key for me. I would recommend Westchester people who are looking for a beautiful, modern office, with a highly professional staff and the most advanced equipment to see Dr Calian at SMile Design Dental Spa. What kind of dentist would take full payment of $6,000 and not complete their client's invisalign treatment because her office failed to get the impressions right? All the cookies, donuts and cappuccino do not justify not completing treatment because too many wrong impressions were taken!!! It is a horrible way to run a business!! I went to Dr. Calian due to a discount offer. She is nice, but her office is disorganized and not competent. The offer I bought included a hygiene appointment. It was the shortest and lightest cleaning I ever had, and included no measuring of pocket depth. I went to another dentist a couple of months later and found out that I had several very deep pockets (5-7) and a tooth which had undergone a root canal years ago and now had a big hole and was being reabsorbed by my body. Dr. Calian and staff managed to miss that. Also Dr. Calian told me I had to get a CatScan of my head done at another office, because they did not have the machine to do it. I did the scan soon after. Then every time I called Dr. Calian's office to schedule a follow-up discussion about getting an implant, they could not find the results. I called three times and left messages, and emailed twice with no response - I could not get an appointment scheduled. Finally I reached someone when I called, and got an appointment. Dr. Calian does not do oral surgery, so the only appointments could occur when the visiting surgeon was there, which over the summer was infrequent. I called the morning of the appointment to confirm the time, and found out they did not have me scheduled. In fact, they did not have me in their system and could not find my file! What a waste of time. They offered to squeeze me in, but I have lost faith and am going back to the dentist who identified my tooth with the hole. He is more expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. read more
