The dentist himself who only does extractions was very calming, he explained everything he was going to do, what he would need to do if the tooth broke apart, what any potential side effects could be and only when I was ready did he begin. He even apologies that the local anaesthetic injections would "pinch" ...understatement...lol. However, apart from the noise of the tooth being pulled there was no pain, he constantly talked to me and explained what he was doing, all the while in a very calm and gentle voice ...all the while I was swearing he stayed calm and pleasant. He was pleasant to his dental assistant and it was all over in 10 minutes. If you need your teeth out, go here. They are totally lovely and it even made this unpleasant procedure almost nice.

First of this isn't your average dentist... while I believe they will do standard dental work, this is really a cosmetic dentistry so if you're just after a check-up it may be better to try elsewhere. Above said, if you require anything cosmetic this could be the place for you... side note, and there's always exceptions, but it's usually a mistake to go to a standard dentist for cosmetic work... you don't go to McDonald's if you want a steak after all! I love the facility itself... it's very clean, modern, and has a spa feel to it. The area it is in, on Wimpole St., is also a quite nice area to stroll through and easy to get to from Bond Street. (Although it's always so hard to walk past Meat Liquor and not pop in following a cleaning or check-up at Sensu!) For me I've always had good luck with the various members of staff... from the receptionist, to the hygienist, to the doctors themselves it's always been 100% positive and smiles from start to finish with a bottle of water always offered from reception on arrival... beyond that they always work with my crazy schedule and have been very flexible with my Invisalign appointments. (I work out of the country off and on so it's not always easy to keep to a laid out schedule.) Speaking of schedule, they also stay open a bit later than you would expect so it's not unusual to get a 7pm appointment if needed and I think they even do Saturday appointments. I can't speak to other treatments, but for me at least (a long course of Invisalign) they were cheaper than my first attempt here in London (don't even get me started on that horror show of a place!) and even the place I inquired into up in York. I was shocked and looking for the catch, because this place seemed far more high end and professional than the other practice I first went to, but nearing the end of my treatment and having paid in full it doesn't seem there was one... they were simply cheaper despite the other place being on "offer" at the time. (Price of course is relative to what it is you're having done and how much you're willing to shop around, just speaking of my one experience a few years back.) Every appointment is a different person that you meet every 8 weeks and which you have to explain your goals to all over again, which in the end are not met anyway. Your plan gets tailored countless times with each person. Appointment times changed at the last second are frequent. High staff turnover rate. Reception not knowledgeable. If you have to reschedule an appointment you have to wait another 4 weeks. Even with comprehensive treatment they try to push you to close your treatment as fast as they can. Some dentist only works one day a month. They schedule you at either location. Every appointment runs late and then they try to rush you out. They take on way too many patients. They never pick up the phone. There is no personal orthodontic treatment, which is what I thought I signed up for. Please take this review as honest, many listed aren't. And it's not just Invisalign, I had an implant consult scheduled (which I waited 4 weeks for) and on the day I show up, it's by no means an implant specialist but a dentist. She has no idea what I'm talking about. I go to reception, who explained they made a mistake, and schedule me in another 4 weeks. 2 days before the appointment, reception calls and says they must cancel. I am livid. Oh, but don't worry, you guessed it, they can schedule me in another 4 weeks. So, 12 weeks later and I still haven't been seen or even had a "sorry". Not to mention, it's a £50 deposit just to book. A joke is an understatement. These people shouldn't be allowed to run a business.

I had my final appointment this morning which was a crown fitting. I am so pleased, it feels like a real tooth and looks like one. I will be booking a 6 monthly check up here and would not hesitate to recommend this dentist to others. Only down side is the emergency appointment booking - I had to wait 48 hours for an appointment - BUT - I wasn't in any pain and I think they prioritised people who were in pain, so this did not and would not deter me from using the practice.
