Alkali is amazing. I'm picky with my dentists, and since I've been in London I've been afraid to find one - being high maintence with my teeth and all. I found alkali in November '10 and went thinking I needed at least one filling. When I arrived I was impressed with the set up, TV screens on the roof and walls, a nice set of headphones to block out the drilling noise etc. and super lovely dentist. I was pleasantly surprised to be informed that my teeth were fine, no fillings required just a quick clean, a smile and a 10% discount on what was a very, very reasonable bill. Last night (about 8pmish), I lost a very large filling in a back tooth. I panicked as it felt like my entire tooth had fallen out. I sent an offline message via the chatbox on the website asking if they could see me ASAP, explaining what had happened. Not ten minutes later I recieved a response from Aalok (who - I was told today - was out for dinner), asking if I would like an appointment 10.30am this morning, I gratefully accepted and recieved a smiley face as a response. Ive just returned from my visit and can not speak highly enough of this practice and its staff. I was seen and my tooth, which was very sensitive, was mended painlessly, quickly and all while I watched Britains Got Talent on the plasma ceiling TV. The staff, as usual were amazing. The bill? a good 6th of what I expected to pay given the disaster that was my tooth (especially given that this booking was pretty much an emergency appointment). I skipped home feeling great. A friend gave me a voucher for jet teeth cleaning and facial. I had the facial 5 days ago and can honestly say it's the best facial I've had - as it actually did something that is lasting. It doesn't hurt (I think I may have fallen asleep slightly) and my skin is looking fantastic as a result. I've always suffered from appalling dry skin which never seems to disappear for long no matter what exfoliating product I use. The technology seemed to get to the root of the problem and the result is wonderful. You do look pretty blotchy for a while afterwards but the girl taking the treatment had some great powder that totally hid this so I didn't feel like a fool walking down the street! The consultation with the dentist was brilliant. He's very friendly and puts you at ease (I'm pretty nervous of dentists!). Having only been to NHS dentists before this, it's like entering another world in a bid to make the experience as tranquil as possible. I had lots of x-rays taken and a lengthy consultation to discuss works I needed. Interestingly the dentist was keen to look at treatment which would help prevent future damage , rather than just waiting for things to go wrong. I can't recommend heartily enough - lovely surroundings and people, excellent service. I'm going back next week for the jet wash teeth cleaning, but am going to sign up to their monthly package in the meantime. read more

I have just completed my '6month smile'!! I am ecstatic with the result! The service was 2nd to none! The time it took, the cost and the whole process was Brilliant. My teeth had relapsed from a previous brace when I was a teenager which i have been told is very common. After lots of research I came across Alkali. The website was great, and they offer various packages. I came across the 6month Smile package with a free a consultation. After looking at the Amazing reviews/before & after pics I booked in. Alkali has a warming atmosphere, a completely different experience to any dentist I have been too. I had a wonderful, relaxed consultation with Aalok who explained all the braces on offer and which would benefit me etc. But ultimately it was down to my preference and that I could go away and think about everything before making a final decision. I felt very comfortable and it was refreshing that there was no pressure or hard selling at all; I felt it was completely my choice. After going away to have a think, I made the decision to go for it and couldn't be happier with every aspect of the process. I would highly recommend Alkali to everyone. read more

Alkali comes with a huge recommendation from me (mother, aged 42, neglected teeth for years and now it's time!). I was nervous and mortified when I walked in but Aalok and Lauren literally could not have been any nicer to me. That was May 2010, since then I have had lots of work (boring stuff first) and now am on to the fun stuff - whitening and straightening. I recommend Alkali hugely, I have never felt rushed, have changed my mind about courses of treatment without even a comment. Aalok has all the latest gadgets such as cordless headphones on which I listen to "News Quiz" and "Now Show", there is also a TV on the ceiling if you want to watch comedy to go into your own world. The needles Aalok uses are so fine I have never even felt an injection, how he managed that is beyond me. I rave to my husband about Alkaki but he does not listen as he doesn't need work, but if you do, huge recommendation! Oh and I think they are very reasonable for the service, time, and results. read more

I started with an all round health consultation with Aalok and his lovely assistant Lauren. I found the atmosphere very relaxing and all the equipment state of the art. After this visit I felt confident to book a teeth cleaning session and a course of microdermabrasion. The teeth cleaning was great and unpainfull, none of the teeth scrapping which leaves you with bleeding gums that I had experienced at other dentists. I came out with a new smile. Then I had a microdermabrasion session, something I would have been quite nervous about because my skin is very sensitive. Lauren made me feel very relaxed and used the best product options for my skin. After the treatment, I had a lovely head massage. My skin felt great, new and shinny. Few days later I also had a phone call to check how my skin was. This is customer service at its best! I can't recommend enough, lovely place, lovely people and great service. read more

I am terrified of dentists and luckily up to a few months ago never had any real trouble with my teeth. I started getting pain, alot of pain and it turned out to be an abcess which would require a root canal and a crown...... Oh my goodness ! The pain and the cost were frightening. I visited four dentists in three days. I went to Alkali on a recommendation of a friend. As soon as I met Aalok I knew I was in the right place. He immediately accessed the problem, took into account my preferences for treatment and my budget putting me totally at ease...... not easy under the circumstances. His offices are state of the art, pristine and comfortable........ his assistant Lauren is equally brilliant. We made a plan of action and I landed up having two appointements. Alkali is the best! It has friendly and reassuring staff and when you have had bad experiences with dentists in the past, Alkali will definitely change your feelings about going. Aalok explains everything thoroughly and makes you feel comfortable. Alkali is very modern and high tech and when you need work you don't even feel the needle go in, you get distracted by watching tv on the ceiling and as only the specific area is numbed you will not be drooling when you are done! I never thought I would be laughing my way through my filling (as I was watching stand up comedy throughout the procedure). I can only say good things about Alkali and if going to the denstist usually makes you a trembling wreck like me, Aalok will make you come out smiling! read more

I always wanted to straighten my teeth but did not want to have to wear a fixed brace. I was informed of Alkali by a friend who told me about a great offer to have my teeth straightened and whitened. So with my pending wedding I decided to give them a call. I am delighted to say it was a great decision to go ahead. They have been fantastic in the customer service department with working to my tight wedding deadline. The treatment, care and advice has been excellent. Aalok, Jade and Lauren (the team I have had looking after me) have been absolutely wonderful and I have no qualms in recommending this practice for a first class service. All I can say is that the refreshing approach to dentistry that this place offers is really something special. I really enjoyed the calming vibe that this clinic has opposed to any other dentist I've been before. Another thing that sets Aalok apart from the competition is the fact that he would much rather start with a minimum treatment whilst promoting a more preventative approach rather than jumping into complicated expensive procedures that might not even be required in your case! Ultimately, my experience with Alkali left me feeling much more confident about going to the dentist. Couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. Alkali has changed the way I feel about going to the Dentist! - from being something I used to dread, to being an amazing pleasure! The staff are lovely, and uber professional. They are completely focussed on doing the job to perfection and I can't say how happy I am that I found them when I did. I'm about to start a set of complementary facial treatments which is great and I feel like I've got brilliant value for the money I've spent. I'm a mum of two little ones and I find that with running after little ones, working full time and other commitments I was feeling a little drained and I felt that you could see it in my face. So... I decided to treat myself to a little bit of pampering and booked myself into Alkali. And I'm so happy that I did. The experience was more than I hoped for. It's a beautifully presented, professional run, customer focus environment with reasonably priced treatments. I had a course of Botox and a microdermabrasion treatment. I was introduced to Alkali purely by chance at a time when I was feeling low due to overcrowding of my teeth which had lead over the years to a reluctance to smile easily. Aalok talked me through various procedures and we made arrangements for me to go ahead with an 'accelerated' brace which hopefully should have me smiling confidently again within 2 or 3 months! Completely new experience! I had facial and dentist check up at the same place and felt relaxed during both. Team is very friendly and very professional. Place looks really great and I watched videos of my choice on TV mounted to the ceiling during the treatments. The consultation with the dentist was really long and he paid lots of attention to aesthetic side of the treatments to make my teeth look healthy and improve look of my face all together. The salon was bright and airy, with informative and friendly staff. I love how they've combined dentistry, nutrionists and facialist under one roof, as they aim to treat the whole body, rather than just targeting areas. The facial I had was very relaxing, and I liked the Epionce products, which I'd never tried before. They had a ceiling TV featuring the iPlayer which was great for catching up on shows and the shoulder massage was blissful. Great location, and very reasonably priced. read more

I've been having a course of microdermabrasion at Alkali and I have to say I've been very pleasantly surprised. After the first treatment I didnt notice a dramatic difference, but after second and third I definitely did - and so did my colleagues and friends. My skin does feel smoother and clearer - and the moisturiser they use is fantastic. I dont really do facial treatments - so this was a good introduction. read more

I came to see Aolok because I grind my teeth in my sleep and had been wearing them down for years. Lauren and Aolok have been absolutely marvellous. The room and surgery itself is top end spec and you can even watch television whilst you are having your teeth done!!
