Then the cabinets took longer than a 3-day delivery because of the day I ended up ordering it on. The cabinets also arrived late on delivery day. Bud told me there was traffic. The guys end up telling me it was because they were short staff. I love honesty....no need to lie. So, my contractors ended up waiting around for 3 hours...not fair to them. PRO: Bud tried to make it up to me. A couple of pieces did not come in and I ended up needing an additional filler that he did not charge me for. I also ended up having to order another filler and that came in a timely manner and I picked it up from their showroom. Overall good experience, just need to tighten up ordering and delivery.

VKB completed a complete remodel of 3 of our bathrooms including the master bathroom. Overall, the…read morequality, workmanship, and attention to details were highly evident throughout the entire project. The project manager, Jason, was on site every 2-3 days to ensure the work was proceeding as discussed. He was easily reachable by phone during the entire project. VKB was able to place 2 teams on site which allowed the work to be completed in 4.5 weeks instead of 6-7 weeks which would have been normal. The team lead on site, Walter, was easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the project (demolition, prep, electrical, plumbing, fixtures, paint, etc.). He has an excellent team of workers that rotated across the various tasks in each bathroom. My wife and I were very pleased at the finished results. Everything came together very nicely. We would highly recommend VKB for your bathroom remodeling. With that said, I offer a few suggestions for potential clients to consider. Customers should make sure they know exactly what they want to do. While change orders can be made after the project is started, it costs more than if the project scope was defined from the beginning. Also, I recommend looking at www.build.com to pre-select the fixtures that are needed prior to scheduling the meeting with the designer. Trying to select all the fixtures for the bathroom within 60-90 minutes in the showroom can be challenging.

Instead, we have been left with numerous workmanship and installation problems, several of which go well beyond cosmetic imperfections. The microwave ventilation was not properly sealed to the exterior, leaving an opening through which birds and other vermin could enter the home. The bathroom vent was also improperly sealed, allowing water intrusion that damaged the ceiling. We also experienced electrical problems--the stove and microwave cannot operate at the same time, and a kitchen outlet identified during our review was not GFCI. Even more concerning, the garbage disposal/plumbing installation resulted in wastewater and sewage spilling into the basement. The finishing work was also poor. Walls were not properly prepared before painting, areas behind the refrigerator and stove were left unfinished, and drywall/plaster work around a vent was done poorly enough that the vent separated from the wall. The painting itself will need professional correction. We also had concerns about the cleanliness of the work site and certain work practices. Most frustrating is that we raised concerns throughout the project, yet the issues remained unresolved. We have photographs documenting these conditions and have now formally requested that the contractor correct the outstanding deficiencies. I do not recommend this company.

We used KDC to renovate our Kitchen, Master Bathroom, and fix some other issues around the house that involved tiling, plumbing, drywall, etc. We first started with KDC on the kitchen, where we had them install all new countertops, and replace our cabinets, basically a whole kitchen renovation. They handled everything and had people for plumbing, tiling, painting, electrical. Everything was handled for us with minimal involvement other than picking out materials. It was one of the easiest experiences where we picked out what we wanted in their showroom and had their project manager coming to the house to review progress on a consistent basis. With how smoothly the kitchen went, we had KDC fix our guest bathroom where things went just as smooth, and then do a whole renovation of the master bathroom. Similarly, we picked out all of the materials in their showroom and the results were amazing. The quality and craftsmanship is very detailed, with new cabinets, tiling, moving different fixtures to new locations, and installation of everything flawlessly. They even alerted us to a cheaper countertop option that still met our needs. All in all, it seems like KDC worked on half the house and did some in a timely and expert way.
