Only took a few minutes for the waitress to see we came in. That's the issue with the seat yourself signs.... My wife got the spaghetti and meatballs. The waitress said that the meatballs and sauce are made in house. My wife really liked it. She said the sauce could have used a little more flavor but she couldn't tell me what kind of flavor it needed. The meatballs looked good and she said they had great flavor. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. I assumed that the meatballs being made in house that the burger would be also made in house. Well I was wrong. The patty was a frozen patty with salt sprinkled on it. It was cooked well just a little disappointed that it was a frozen patty. Might try again if I am this way.

Fast forward to today, reinvented. We throughly enjoyed our meal. The menu is basic and simple. Not a ton of stuff, but everything we had was perfect. They have a Friday fish fry for 19.99. Saturday was a prime rib special for 29.99. Two of us had pasta dishes. Large portions, fresh and well prepared. We got side salads which were equally fresh and satisfying. The Prime Rib special was really impressive. Not much fat, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with large portions of side dishes included. Dinning room was crowded, so got a little loud at times. Wait staff was fast, knowledgeable and very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back to the updated and much improved Old Antlers Inn.

Soup was decent but nothing special and certainly not worth $4 a cup. Cheesesteak was so dry and flavorless I Amish couldn't finish it. It had almost zero cheese while the peppers and onions tasted almost burnt. The French fries were fresh cut but could have used another minute in the fryer and then some salt added. Food was not impressive and I would give one star. However, the service was great. Only one waitress working plus also tending bar yet she kept everyone's drinks full and delivered orders quickly, and for that I'll bump to two stars. The restaurant is small but clean. They have a dining room for families but also a bar for individual seating.
