Not only are the teachers TOPS in their practice, but I have made friends of my fellow yogis. It's a very communal studio and I thoroughly enjoy the vibe

I asked if they had a water station, which I was given attitude as well for asking this question. It's as if a water station is not a normal thing at a work out studio so I don't understand the attitude in the response. They probably wanted me to buy their water which I can understand, however it was the attitude given to me that bothered me. I took a break outside of the class and there were other girls outside taking a break as well, indicating that they had empty water bottles and the heat was too much for them but they didn't have any water. I gave more stars than I wanted because of the instructor, Sam. She was so nice and accommodating and I loved her energy. She checked in on the people taking breaks, I appreciated her teaching the class!

I attended their monday evening oneness blessing many years ago, and my boyfriend and his mom suggested we go (i mean it had been so long..and why!?) yesterday, but we were not sure they still had it on monday nights. We arrived at 7 pm to find Katherine (the gentle soul who does the blessings) leaving, with the parking lot empty. We were so sad until she let us know that she was heading over to the golden hills community center where they hold the blessing every other week. We raced over there just in time. The blessing consists of a short centering meditation followed by approximately 1.5 hours of the people conducting the blessings laying their hands over your head. After this you lie down and take in the blessing. It was a wonderful experience, and everyone there was so welcoming and inviting. I am not sure why I haven't been in many years. It is amazing that this is free, and that people donate their time to essentially give all their energy and healing to you for 2 straight hours. I am so happy that this place exsists. I hear they have a lovely gift shop with many amazing crystal specimens and yoga also. I have been looking for a place to do yoga, and this may be the place!

It's mind boggling how she knows that your foot, arm, head, etc. needs to move just one to two inches to get the most out of each pose. Her precision to breathing benefits us all, long after we've left her studio. Her meditative voice is intoxicating. It's as if any worries of the day are not allowed into this sacred place. Catherine's hypnotic tone gently engulfs your mind and you willingly surrender to a welcoming calm. I have searched for several years for the "perfect" yoga class, one that is peaceful, serene, loving and still offers deep poses and gentle stretches. I am so grateful I found Heart and Soul, a small intimate yoga studio giving me all I've wanted and much more. I travel from Point Loma to La Mesa because I want the best and it's well worth it.

If you're looking for an incredible reformer Pilates instructor, TRACY FORD is it. She's been…read moreteaching for years and it shows in every single class. Tracy is always professional, always welcoming, and I genuinely don't think I've ever seen her without a smile. Her classes are creative and never repetitive -- every session feels fresh, challenging, and thoughtfully put together. Her cueing is seriously perfection (the kind where you feel muscles you didn't even know you had ). She uses real anatomy terms, explains things clearly, and makes sure everyone understands what to do and why. And on top of that, she's hilarious -- her little comments throughout class keep it fun while you're shaking. One of the things I appreciate most is how great she is at modifying for injuries and prenatal clients. She's extremely knowledgeable and makes everyone feel supported without ever making it a big deal. The fact that her classes are always full says it all -- Tracy brings the best energy, the best instruction, and you can tell how much she truly loves Pilates. She puts so much effort into planning each class every week, and it really shows. The owners are so lucky to have her -- and so are the clients. Highly recommend!

Although they were really big on making sure you have grippy socks (I think they left two VMs about it and texted twice), other than that, it was pretty seamless: I signed up, showed up, and they did not try to sell me on anything. I took the class, and they did a 2 minute speal after, but they let everyone leave when it was over, and there was no pressure to buy a package, which I really appreciated. In sum, the study is very clean, the instructor was very nice, and I really enjoyed the class. If I didn't have access to free pilates, I might be interested.

Updating my review…read more Tyler and Sam reached out to me upon reading my review and graciously offered to make up an instructor no-showing by comping their $30/30 days special. This alone speaks volumes of how much they care about their business and the community. After taking 2-4 classes a week for the past 4 weeks, I can say they absolutely deserve 5 stars. There is a separate restroom down the hall which has a code for extra security/privacy. Their studio is clean, smells great, and offers beautiful views and vibes both during the day and night. I love the view of the mountains during the day and the natural light. At night, depending on which class you take, you could partake in a candle lit class, a cool color-changing class, sound bath classes, and more. I have taken classes with Sam, Alyssa, Keshia, and Jen. They all offer a unique experience and I enjoyed each of them in a different way. So much variety AND time slots, you are sure to find what you need. From slow flows, to sculpt classes (fun!), to sound bath/meditative classes, and even mat pilates. So many options. I really enjoy hot classes and I believe they only offer hot classes on Saturdays (they do offer warm classes throughout the week though!) They are close enough to the Trolley Station where you can easily get a smoothie or quick bite before or after class, but far enough so parking is never a problem. Perfect location. I came across their studio through ClassPass and so glad I did. I am the type that enjoys both "personal" studios and "commercial" studios for separate reasons. If you like personal studios, I'd highly recommend The Balanced Yogi. Be a part of the family and enjoy the opportunity of growing with their teachers on their journeys.

Her classes have truly changed my life. I actually look forward to going--it's become my safe place and my strong place. Dafna is absolutely meant to be a yoga teacher. She's kind, gentle, and knows exactly how to push you in the best way. You can tell she's incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cares. I'm so grateful to have found this space--it's given me an escape I didn't even realize I needed. I feel stronger, and I can both see and feel the difference. I had been looking for Spartan prep classes and had heard all over Facebook groups that this NXPT…read moreis the place to go for this type of training classes. It's a little far from me in the South Bay but I knew I had to try it. For parking, the lot is shared with other businesses so when I got there, it was full and parked in the lot down the street. I wouldn't suggest to park in front of the NXPT if it's the games classes since we're using wall balls near cars. When I found the class on classpass for Wednesday night, the name of it was a little confusing because it said "OCR/Games/Hyrox/Deka" so I didn't really know what that meant until I showed up to the class to learn that depending on when the next event is, that is the type of training they're doing. So my class focused on the Hyrox because the Anaheim event is in five weeks. Hannibal is the trainer and he was friendly with a quick introduction and had to jump on a call before class started. I asked around to sign the waiver and got someone to help me. I wanted to make sure that didn't slow me down starting the class on time. Thankfully I do strength training and hot yoga outside of this class so I felt I could keep up but having been to new classes before, they seem to take care of newbies with just a few more instructions. I ended up figuring it out and maybe the style of this gym is no hand holding but I ended up asking other attendees in the class about the structure. Most of the moves in this class were standard but when it came to Sled, I wasn't sure in my form. I'd suggest when they get newbies in these games classes to ask them if they've done anything like this before and if not, show them the proper technique of the moves. That helps in the actual events since form matters and also prevents injuries. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back!
