He met us at Ski Beach, gave us a tutorial and provided all documents needed to be 'water legal'. Darnell also took us through different scenarios that could possibly happen while out on the water. We forgot two additional life vest that we request and Darnell personally walked them over to our site! While he was there we shared with him that we were concerned my 18 year old sister may get lost and he assured us that the water was safe and she would make it back safety and told us to just enjoy; and she did. I had to call Darnell a couple times through the day and he answered every time and was right down the way of we needed him. My husband and I got pulled over for going to fast in the wrong area and because Darnell showed us where everything was, we were very prepared and the lifeguard was impressed. I plan to go jet skiing again before the summer is out and we will, with no question, use Sun and fun jetski. Best experience I've ever had with jet ski rentals.

Before I boarded, a staff member saw a nicotine cigarette vape on my lanyard and demanded I hand it over so he could inspect it for marijuana or THC. He asked twice. The second time was abusive, and he threatened not to let me continue unless I surrendered it. That is not a safety briefing. It is a private employee trying to search a customer's property. A nicotine vape is legal. If they think someone is impaired, they can refuse the rental. They do not get to confiscate a vape. The paperwork was just as bad. They expect you to sign a massive waiver right before you launch. The "downloaded" copy is a 30-page PDF that is mostly blank pages -- address, a checkbox, and a signature. Checking a box that you "read the entire agreement" under those conditions is not a real review of your rights. It is a rush job designed to get you on the water. I do not object to no-impairment rules. I object to being harassed and treated like I was hiding drugs because I had a legal vape. Management should train staff that they can say no to a rental without bullying people into a search. Gave them a second chance. They blew it. On Sept 29 an employee named Mike demanded I hand over a legal nicotine vape so he could inspect it for THC and threatened to cancel the rental if I refused. I complained to the owner. The owner called, apologized, said he would retrain staff, and sent a $200 gift card to come back. We went back on Sept 30. The ride itself was fine. No argument. No safety issue. As we were leaving, the same employee, Mike, told us he will refuse us in the future. My wife and son heard it and were stunned. That is not customer service and it is not safety. It is retaliation after a complaint the owner already accepted. Do not count on the apology. The person who created the problem is still on the dock and used the exit to ban a family the owner had just invited back.
