When we first arrived, most of us needed to use the restroom (since there isn't one on the boat), and the girl working at check-in seemed a bit annoyed by that. However, once we got on the boat, she was totally fine and helpful. A few things to note: someone in your group does have to drive the boat, so plan ahead for that. You can bring your own 21+ drinks as long as they're not in glass containers, and you'll need to bring your own ice. Once you're out on the water, it's pretty lively with lots of other boats and people. We played our own music and just hung out--it was a really fun, chill experience. The two hours definitely go by fast, so keep an eye on the time. They're strict about going over, even by a minute, so we set a timer and started heading back 30 minutes before our end time. I was notified that access to Guadalupe was restricted. Initially, I was understanding when access to Guadalupe was restricted, and Nautilus allowed me to rebook for August 2023. Unfortunately, access was again restricted, and this is where my frustration began. Nautilus refused to allow me to reschedule for the following year, offering instead to apply my deposit ($900) to one of their other trips, however none of the alternatives provided a similar experience. When I requested a refund of my deposit, I was informed that I needed to speak with President Mike Lever and the only means of contacting him was via email. Despite multiple emails, I received absolutely no response from Mr. Lever. Attempts to follow up by phone resulted in vague responses from the staff, promising to remind Mike Lever to respond. This lack of communication and transparency was not only unprofessional but also left me feeling ignored and mistreated as a customer. To escalate the matter, I involved the Department of Consumer Protection from my state, hoping to find a resolution. Nautilus's response, through their attorney, was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially claiming that my state had no jurisdiction and I had no right to a refund. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. It is disheartening to encounter a company that not only fails to deliver the promised services but also evades communication and appears to keep deposits without providing any reasonable alternatives or solutions. I sincerely hope that Nautilus Liveboards takes customer concerns seriously and addresses these issues properly. I caution others to think twice before considering doing business Nautilus Liveboards or Mike Lever. They appear to now being conducting business under SharkDiver.com to avoid the negative press/reviews from so many that they have stolen money from.

Mission Bay's where it's at yo! And that makes this the go-to for some of the best jetskiing you can experience in SD and I'd say SoCal in general. My boat suddenly developed a severe vibration (and no, I hadn't hit anything with the prop!). After two days of troubleshooting, I finally tapped out and asked a friend for a marine repair recommendation. Without hesitation, he said WakeTeck Marine. From my first conversations with Nick, Brian, Adam, and Wayne, I knew I was dealing with a different kind of repair shop. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to listen. Brian, in particular, patiently reviewed my detailed notes and measurements, explained how things actually work on boats, and never made me feel like my questions were unwelcome. The diagnosis was impressive. They sent me a video using a laser to check the prop shaft, revealing that it was cracked near the keyway. I never would have found it on my own, and they explained that I was lucky it hadn't broken completely and caused more serious damage. They kept me updated throughout the repair. Parts took a little longer to arrive than I wanted (I'm spoiled by Amazon overnight delivery! ), but once they arrived, the team got right on it. A staff member even came over after our rental began to give us kid-sized vests for our two youngest in the group that would be more comfortable for them. 4. While we got the pontoon boat we wanted, at the time of rental we discovered that no one is allowed to jump off and swim. We had hope to have parts of our group play at the Bay Beach area and the other half go out on the boat. We figured we could swim/swap. Because of this, we should have canceled the pontoon and gotten more kayaks and SUPs. However, we did keep the boat and took turns taking groups on rides around the Bay. 5. The whole check-in process was much lengthier than anticipated. We had to have two captains and the second had to run back to get his DL. I used my card for the booking, but didn't know I needed it to complete the rental...so I had to run over to get it. Fortunately, we were across the street from this location. Our 9:30a rental didn't end up beginning until 10:20a, but the guy was kind enough to shift the timing for our 4-hr rental. I spoke to owner Eddie on the phone and explained I was not happy with the low speed handling etc. He gave me a ton of great information, was very patient with all of my newbie questions and told me to come by with my current prop. I went to the shop which was clean and organized. Eddie pulled up RPM range for my motor, asked me few questions about loading the boat, primary use etc. and picked out a 4 blade prop. The weekend before a family trip to Montana, one of my trailer axles failed catastrophically while I was loading up to leave. What made it even more frustrating was that another shop had recently inspected and repacked the bearings, yet the axle still smoked and failed shortly afterward. When I called Henry's, they were already slammed with work and initially didn't have room in the schedule. After hearing my situation and understanding that I had a family trip planned, Holly and the team went out of their way to fit me in. That kind of customer service is rare these days. They replaced my axles, got everything taken care of quickly, and gave me confidence that the trailer was ready for a long trip. We successfully made it all the way to Montana and back down the west coast, 4300 miles without a single issue.
