The smash tots have olive oil garlic and I think oregano. Some more heavily coated. But crispy. I prefer plain tots. The cup of chili was sideways in the bag and leaked all over everything in the bag. Cup Was not full. But what I was able to taste was good. Did not receive the shrimp roll. Ordered two burgers and a fry on December 12, 2025. This location is in the same shared parking area as Cane's chicken, Panera, Chipotle, Smashburger and BJ Brewhouse. The flow of traffic between the drive thru's and limited entrance and exits is a disaster. Understandably you can only drive out going west and come in from the east on 151st. It's not well designated and there are cars turning around to get to the north side of the lot. We parked on the south side of Smashburger and walked through a huge patch of mud on the way to the entrance. We did take-out which was a mistake because the bun gets really soggy and that's on us, but we didn't want to stay because the ambience is not great with low lighting. They have that open counter where the workers stand outside of the operations and bag the takeouts. The patrons are supposed to stay completely away from it, 10 to 15 feet even though the tables are 20 feet away. They told us to "stay away from the counter" when I went to ask where my order was. Why do they have an open counter with workers bagging right next to seating area? They should have the workers work from inside the kitchen area like McAllister's, chipotle, McDonald's and all the other restaurants. So not a great experience. They were really rude about staying away from the counter, so bye we are never coming back... there are better burgers out there. read more

I usually don't do reviews for the chains, but the burger was pretty damn good. Theres a lot of options in this area, but my parents wanted to go here so I obliged. I ordered the BBQ bacon smash which was a very tasty burger double patty with onion strings, bacon and obviously bbq sauce, and I opted for the shoe string fries which also were very tasty. We all tried different burgers and everyone was happy with their choices. The woman at the register was courteous and took our order right away, but my only issue was after that. It was pretty slow when we were there, maybe 3 tables with people and only us in line, but it still took awhile for the food to come out. Mine was the last one, and everyone else was halfway finished when I received my food. Maybe they were short handed or whatever, but it was an oddly long time for a burger. As a person who loves to eat at restaurants, my experience about twenty minutes ago was not good. The employees did not greet me while I stood by a cash register. They didn't let me know they would take my order soon. In the restaurant industry this is completely unacceptable. Upper management should address this very quickly. It seems they don't offer actual "specials" or "meals" that include your burger, fries and pop, however, if you order a kids meal it does - but you can't get any additional toppings like onions or lettuce on the burger! Other spots simply charge you extra for them versus not providing it as an option at all. So, that was frustrating. The inside was clean, the service was fine. The kids meal came with a lot of fries, enough to share, which was nice. It's actually a pretty big cheeseburger for a kids meal as well. For those that are on a budget or trying not to over indulge, the kids meal is a great option except that it does not give you the option to pay for additional toppings. We ordered two Spicy Jalapeño Smash Burgers with red onions as an add-on and a regular-sized Smashfries to share. Ordered arrived nice and hot. Unwrapping the burger made me feel like a kid at Christmas opening his present. The burger looked so so good. I'm personally a SUCKER for jalapeños, so this burger has me entranced before I even had my first bite. The smell of the grilled jalapeños was inviting me to the taste party. And they do not play--they LOADED our burgers up with them peppers. First bite: . The crispy yet juicy smash patty, the flavorful jalapeños, the crunch of the onions, and the spicy chipotle ranch sauce all hugged between two soft buttery buns.... . This was the best burger I've had in a WHILE. Only critique: just needed more of that chipotle ranch and it would've been perfect. The fries! Interesting flavor--rosemary and olive oil are not the first ingredients I would think of when seasoning fries, but they make it work!! So addictive. Tasted fresh. I like my fries slightly crispy on the outside with a soft pillowy interior, so these were right up my alley. Definitely check this place out guys. Possibly the worst fast food experience I have ever had. Half of the food on the menu including fries was "unavailable" as we saw the crew literally making fries. Server got our order wrong. Only 1 bottle of ketchup in the entire restaurant that we had to share with three other booths. 3 groups of people literally walked in behind us and walked right out. It was my first time at Smashburger and it was a bit disappointing. Burgers was good but portion was super small for $11 or 12 each and it doesn't come with any sides. We got a large smash fries on the side and the bill was $30 and I was still hungry afterwards. Luckily I brought my water bottle with me so I didn't have to spend more money on a drink. Went home and made myself a ramen with egg which was actually pretty good. For the amount of money I spent on a burger, I could have gotten a bigger and better burger somewhere else. First off, every employee I spoke to was beyond sweet and ready to help me. Stephanie, the manager, was exceptional. They brought my food right to my table and were just all very courteous. The place itself was clean, modern, and bright with all that natural sunshine coming in. The food itself... WOW. I will say the burger (pleasantly) surprised me. I knew it would be yummy, but I didn't think it would sweep me off my feet. I got the single classic burger with a side of Smash tots. Both were delicious - the burger was juicy and I love the bun and Smash sauce. The tots were kinda greasy, but honestly I don't think I've ever had tots that weren't! They were seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Oh, and the Oreo milkshake... crazy good!!! I eventually just took the lid and straw off and just sipped it because it had chunks of Oreo in it that wouldn't go up the straw. I was so looking forward to this and wanted to give them a great review. Sadly my experience was anything but... The parking lot is poorly laid out and way over crowded. (That has no bearing on my rating.) We ordered, found a table, and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. There were no paper towels in the bathroom. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Thankfully I had tissues in my pocket. I did notify the staff, and it took them several more minutes to address those issues. The worst of the problems happened when our food arrived. We had decided in advance that we would each order a separate burger and cut them in half so that we could taste both options. Cut the mushroom and Swiss no problem. When I attempted to cut the brisket burger it was not cutting. Why? Because the papers that separate the burgers when they are frozen were cooked and served as part of the burger. Not a piece of the paper, the entire square. The manager quickly took the burger away and had them remake it; however, no one really apologized. They just replaced it. I am appreciative of well seasoned food and understand that restaurant food contains quite a bit of sodium. But someone in the kitchen is very heavy-handed with the salt shaker. The truffle mushroom and Swiss burger was the better of the two. I would eat it again. The brisket burger was extremely greasy and the sauce lacked flavor. I wish I could leave more stars but I can't. I attended this event, never having eaten at smash-burger prior. I got the chicken sandwich and my daughters both got a double bacon burger. Over all the food was good taste wise. The burgers are very greasy so if this isn't your jam stay away. They have great fries and I believe they are better than the tots. However me and my kids were all sick the next day with flu like symptoms. We stopped here for a lunch break to try a newer restaurant in the area. The place was nice, but not real clean inside. The burgers were good with nice charred edges and mine had grilled onions with jalapenos and pepper jack cheese. My wife did the regular burger lettuce and tomato. We did get drinks and fries too. I was surprised at the prices, a bit higher than called for, but okay for quality of meats and ingredients. I received some gift cards for Smash burger, so I've been going there more often than usual. More than I should. I make an effort to avoid fast food the last couple years, but I'm failing here. These guys do it right. They have really good milkshakes, but I don't get those very often (I need to draw the line somewhere). I usually get a double smash burger with everything, smash fries and a fountain drink. The fries are really good and come with Old Bay or something like that on them. At least mine was. There was a ton of ketchup and mustard and the sandwich just tasted like bread with condiments. The burger meat itself wasn't anything special and had a bland taste. Smash Burger is a new restaurant is Orland Park IL. The restaurant is spacious with lots of seating. There is outdoor seating, which will be perfect for summer weather. There is a parking lot, but it is shared with other business, so it will be crowed depending on the time you visit. I ordered a Turkey Double Bacon Smash Burger that consisted of Turkey, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, Smash Sauce, ketchup and toasted bun. I enjoyed my burger! I had sweet potato fries and a Mocha Coffee Milk Shake. The fries were good, but not plentiful. This serving could have been bigger. The Milk shake was good and I would purchase that again. The price is moderate. The burgers cost around 6 to 10 dollars and the sides cost around 3 to 4 dollars so it is affordable. My onion stack was a bit disappointing due to the thin way they are made. They would be perfect for going on a burger. My fries however were a highlight. The seasoning combination is something you are more likely to find in fancier resteraunt. They don't need anything on them.
