She's been afraid to get it cut but she did want a little trim because of her upcoming prom. Unfortunately I got stuck at work and my husband had to take her. So I do blame myself but I told her to very specific with the stylist. I even had an appointment with the same person a couple weeks ago and talked about my daughter's fear of losing length. According to my daughter she agreed to the 2 inches of dead straight hair on the bottom but was very clear about not wanting to lose length all over. The woman took at least 3 or 4 inches off all over her head. Hair that came to her elbows now barely falls past her shoulders and what's worse is that it is uneven. The right side is very noticeably longer than the left side. If she didn't understand curly hair, she should have said something. Maybe she didn't like my daughter or thought she was wrong to express what she wanted and decided to teach her a lesson. Now she doesn't even want to go to the prom. We can't get the hair back and I have to pay somebody else to fix it. We will never go back again.

I am a dude, so my haircut is usually simple and quick. I don't make an appointment, I just walk in and ask if anyone has time to cut my hair. And they do! Sometimes I will get my eyebrows waxed - they do it all! I appreciate the personnel are always smiling and polite and after I get my haircut, everyone that knows me compliments what a good job the salon did on my hair. I don't have any pictures to post - at least for now - I mean the folks on the internet reading this don't need to see my haircut... but the salon is very professional looking: bright, clean, with a variety of stations, and plenty of products on display. She can work on African-American hair and would be able to color, trim, or silk press my hair. The appointment was made for Friday at 1:30 PM. I arrived at 1:23 PM and very close to 1:30. Someone asked me if I had an appointment and I told them. yes I had an appointment with Mahdi. At 1:50 I asked what was going on with my appointment. I was told that they were behind and that she would be with me shortly. I noticed there was a woman with lavender color in her hair who was cutting a man's hair that was very, very bushy. I thought this was her, and it turned out that it was her. I did not get in her chair until after another stylist came over to me and said that she would get me started which was 2:00 PM. What I should've done was walked out. Mahdi takes me to her chair and asks me what i wanted done and I said I was going to do several things but now I was angry and the only thing I was going to do was the color. While she was still working on me, the young man came back to the shop 30 minutes after he left because his hair was not cut properly, so she had to stop working on me and go back to him to straighten his haircut out. When she finished my hair color and I went to pay, I said I wanted to speak to the manager, she got the manager and I explained what happened to the manager. She told me that they got behind.If you were behind before I got there, you should have called me to delay my appointment. If you had a 1:30 appointment on your schedule, why would you take someone with a large Afro that needed to be cut and go over your appointment time scheduled for 1:30 and provide no explanation to me sitting there, your next customer, you were behind. Your manager could have given that customer to a more experienced stylist to cut his hair because apparently, Mahdi she did not know what she was doing with his hair since he came back after he left for her to fix her mistakes. He calls himself a man of the Faith, so he would know the Bible's philosophy of giving, yet his left hand most certainly knows that his right hand is doing the giving (for again, constant personal praise on social media). He has his followers (knows how to cover up with very pricey 'sheep's clothing), but he needs to truly be less self-serving (he's now running for political office to no doubt continue to serve himself) and self-loathing when folks call out that degree of narcissism.
