I'm a a military guy. I've been cutting my own hair since I joined in 2001. I thought I was doing a good job....... I wanted to see what someone else could do. So I live close by this location and wanted to see what they could do. If your a guy and want a clean casual (military) style then see Nat ( Natalie). I was amazed. She is quick but thorough. first of all, extremely overpriced. my boyfriends mom took my boyfriend and his little brother to get their hair trimmed and since his little brother is only 10, his haircut was supposed to be $18 and they charged us full price so it was not $18. my boyfriend asked the woman to just trim his hair and that he wanted it just above his eyebrows so that it wasn't in his eyes, and she wet it and cut it super short and he hates his haircut so much. he feels ugly and unattractive. they did fine with his little brother's hair but as for my boyfriend, i'm pissed. he's been in a horrible mood since. read more

I went in to get my sons hair cut thinking it cant be hard to do a little boys haircut. I had my other son with me (4) and told her i wanted it exactly the same. He has a short cut with a little in the front. He completely shaved my 6 yr olds entire head. He was screaming and crying and her response was "this is what you told me to do" , "it will grow back". It is absolutely horrible and i dont know why anyone would do that to a little boy. He doesn't even want to leave the house. read more

Absolutely horrible! Had a 530 appt on Sunday night and was in bind cause my and my sons barber was on vacation and he desperately needed a cut for school. It was probably the last appointment of the night for my 8yr son. All he needed was to get a half blade on the sides and the top trimmed and thinned out brushed forward and spiked in the front. A normal cut that usually takes 20 minutes turned into 45 after she messed up his entire head trying to fade or blend it at the top. I asked her repeatedly to fix spots on the sides and she had the biggest attitude ever. Not sure if it was because it was the end of the day or because the staff had plans to go out after for one of the girls bday. Anyway she finished the sides and that was it!!!!! Never touched or attempted the topof his head and when she took off his cape and I said aren't you gonna cut the top, she gave me an attitude and said the was nothing to grab. Are you kidding me? She walked me to the register charged me 16 dollars and when I handed her my credit card she asked if I was going g to add anything extra. I said yeah you can add 5 for a tip but I am not happy but i am also not like that where i dont tip! Her response was well you were not clear on what you wanted so.....hello I sat in the chair next to him the entire time and was very clear! I honestly don't know how long she has been cutting hair but if I had to guess I would of said it was her first day! One of the other staff members who was at the register offered to fix his hair but I was so aggravated that I said thanks but I'll take him somewhere else to get it fix. Hair Cuttery you can do so much better! I will never go back there again! Not sure if she is not used to doing men or kids cuts but she had no clue what she was doing. I hope the all enjoyed the bday celebration while I ran around to find someone to fix his hair! The poor kid got into the car and asked me if he had to go to school looking like that on Monday! Stylist christy H is rude, unprofessional and unskilled. She butchered my hair to the point where i don't know what I'm going to do to salvage it. My first time here and will NEVER return. Stylist was an over-sharer....i didn't need to know about her husband's vasectomy, but thanks i guess. Definitely need to re train the staff in regards to technique..i don't know how Christie even has a job, my hair looks thin and terrible after my session with her. I regret coming to this location so much but i can't speak for other stylists. All i can say to other customers is BEWARE OF CHRISTIE H, she will do a god awful job and talk your ear off the entire time! read more

All I had to do was show her a picture of the way I wanted my color and cut to look like and she was spot on. I also love their app. I woke up this morning and made my appointment for the same day. I have too much to say about this place and none of it is good. So, I will say one thing..do NOT waste your money & time.. they are awful. I have been here on multiple occasions and every time they have managed to make a disaster of my hair. (they have fried off my hair during highlights, chopped off too much when only wanted a trim and my hair was completely uneven on either side) Instead try True Salon (9 Cross Keys Rd # 1, West Berlin, NJ 08091)..they do a great job and make sure of what you want. read more

I've been going to Hair Cuttery in Berlin for years. There has never been a time that I wasn't satisfied with the cut. On the other hand, there were plenty of times I was so pleased with the cuts that I couldn't understand why people go elsewhere and spend hundreds of dollars for the same cut you could get from Hair Cuttery's stylists. I must admit that I am one of those people who can't commit to appointment times so the walk-in service is something I really appreciate. I just came back from getting my hair cut. If you have curly hair, ask for Jessica. I'm so thrilled with how beautiful my hair looks I had to come online to give well deserved kudos to a stylist who knows what she's doing! read more

I've been butchered here twice, and once in the Hair Cuttery in Cherry Hill, NJ. Years ago--about 10 or so--I asked this guy for a trim, and he chopped me up in cowlicks! (He still works there.) Last year, in Cherry Hill, an elderly woman chopped my hair up again in cowlicks when all I wanted was a light trim. This past July, I went to the Hair Cuttery in West Berlin, and I saw a hairstyle I liked that the hairdresser who did my hair had. Therefore, I told her that I would like the hairstyle that she has. After she was done, it looked OK, but not exactly like her hair. However, after I washed my hair later, it came up in cowlicks! I'll never waste my money in this place again! read more

I walked in for a hair cut shampoo and blow dry. I told hair stylist that I love my length and I only want an trim of some dead ends. Hair stylist got a little scissor happy . She asked if I wanted it blow dried straight or with a curl I said straight but with volume and body. She took the curling iron to it after drying it not curling it in the correct direction and leaving my hair flat at the top. She didn't bother to run her fingers thru it to make it looks nice or hair spray it. I had to come home and redo my hair. I will never go back to this location and I would not recommend Linda. read more

Rude staff. I was trying to get in out for an early haircut. Four people including myself were waiting outside for this location to open. Not that 9:03 is bad for a posted 9am opening, but the two employees inside didn't seem to notice the time or the people outside in 20 degree weather. Upon my entering the store, the blonde at the desk asked who was first in line. When I motioned toward two others, she rudely said, "yes, well they have appointments. " As if I could have known this (sort of begs the question of why they didn't open the doors earlier if they knew they had appointments anyway). Then I put my name in and after going though her having to look up my name a couple times and telling her what service I wanted, THEN she told me someone had called out and it would be a half hour wait. After wasting too much time there already, I left and went elsewhere. The same ill-mannered blonde woman (in her fifties, I'd say) was rude to me and my kids on a previous visit. She gave me a hard time because the stylist who was cutting one of my boys' hair told me I didn't have to sign in my other son. The blonde insinuated that I had cut in line and was also rude to the stylist, who apologized to me when the other was out of earshot. I only came back to this place because I thought it was a one-time thing, but apparently she is often rude. I will not be going back. read more
