I have curly hair (3C) and I always do my research before committing to anyone touching my hair. She put me at ease right away. Not only does she have the warmest spirit but lady knows what she's doing with curly hair! Loved it! Will be returning in 12 weeks for another trim and moisturizing mask that she recommended. My color was done by Elle. Lovely woman, we had a nice chat. So, I waited long to leave a review because I wanted to live in the color in both my natural curl state but then after straightening it. I love the color when my hair is curly. Like LOVE! She did a slight balayage with natural browns to not add bleach into my hair. It looked great curly. I then straightened it and I wasn't sure I loved it anymore. I gave it 2 more tries after straightening and I think it's growing on me. The color isn't bad at all, she nailed the color I wanted it's just, some of the color felt a little more obvious and blocky when straight then when curly and so it looked less natural with how it was laid out. Not sure that makes sense. Anywho, overall I like this salon. So glad I found it. Def recommend for a curly girl cut with Susan!

I made my appointment and was looking forward to the day until I got a call from them on Valentine's evening (the day before my appointment) stating the credit card machines were down and to bring cash, but also that I would be charged an additional $25 for the toner. Now I am not cheap, but definitely conscious of overspending. Like I mentioned before I've never had my hair highlighted, so it is difficult for me to justify the regular price of it. I thought this Groupon would be a good way to test the waters. No one likes to be notified the night before their appointment of extra charges. It should be in the fine print of the Groupon or should've been mentioned when I initially made my appointment.

I later into the appointment found out her name is Diane, and that she is one of the owners. Nina, my Hairdresser, also told me how amazing she is and how much she enjoys working there. That makes for an amazing work environment and happy employees; which is exactly what I witnessed in my day spent there getting my major hair transformation. I entered looking like Cousin IT, and left feeling like a Victoria's Secret Angel struttin' down the runway. Nina gave me the Victoria's Secret model hair of my dreams! I hadn't had my hair cut or colored in 6 years due to moving away and being terrified to let anyone else touch my mane of hair! Nina had been the last/only person I had entrusted my tresses to since finding her on social media a few years prior. I am a perfectionist and obsess over everything- the moment I met her and she basically introduced herself saying those exact words- I knew it was a match made in the hair heavens. The girl knows what she's doing and then some! I finally moved back to the area ( I drive 65 miles each way Just for her! ) and it was time to let her work her magic. A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A-!-!-! The big reveal...I didn't know if I should laugh, cry, hug her or propose... I was just so overwhelmed with emotions and disbelief of what I was seeing...hair that beat my expectations a million times over. Tell me the last time that happened to you...( I'm gonna guess NEVER!!!) I had SUPER THICK, curly, crazy, booty length VIRGIN hair when I sat in her chair - I left with blonde balayage/ babylights and about a foot of length cut off. There's so many tones of blonde and hints of lilac/violet that I just can't capture all the hues and tones in the bazillion pictures I've taken since. Look at the pictures for yourself- there's #NOFILTER needed. Only pure talent and magic at the hands of Ms. Nina Clark The Hair Goddess. She isn't about rushing customers in and out- her goal is getting it right and making sure it's what you want and that you're happy. She's truly an amazing stylist/colorist and all around person. I walked out of the salon like I was walking on air; or maybe that was just all the volume from the fabulous blow out lifting me up to the heavens. It's been two weeks and I am still looking in every mirror and reflective object I pass to catch a glimpse of my hair. What more proof do you need? I could praise her all day- but, these pictures are all you need to know you're making the right choice when you sit in her chair. Ya'll can thank me after your appointment.
