Out of all the haircuts I have received in my life, it is by far the worst. Olivia cut my hair the first time. I have curly hair so they insisted it be cut dry. She also insisted to cut it with a middle part even though I told her I never part my hair in the middle. When I tried to style it myself there were only two layers in my hair and it was a four inch difference. It looked awful. I called and told them I was unhappy and I went for an appointment with someone new. It came out even worse. I have attached a picture of when it's straight to show how awful it is. A resounding five star review - this has been the best salon experience I've ever had. Seriously. I stopped in to make an appointment - the receptionist was very friendly and got me scheduled right away and answered all my questions, some of which she needed to consult with one of the stylist on. I ended up having an impromptu consultation with that stylist, and we discussed my color options and the reasons for the price being higher than normal - my hair was a wreck of different shades since I had dyed it with overall color more than once. The extra charge would be to even out the color. I arrived for my 8am appointment on Saturday and was greeted by friendly staff who sat me down right away and offered me coffee. After a quick discussion, I chose my color and off we went. My stylist was exceptionally friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. While we waited for my hair to process, we discussed my curly hair and what could be done to even out my curl pattern - I'm really excited for my Ouidad haircut in September! I was really impressed with her knowledge and technical expertise on curly hair. I have always wanted to get rid of my curls but perhaps with the right help and information I can love them for the first time in my life. I was only there for about two hours because they did not need to lift my existing hair color to accommodate the new color. The other customers at the salon were just as friendly as the stylists, and I received many kind words regarding my new hair color after my blowout. I was photographed with my consent. My stylist did a PHENOMENAL JOB at evening out my hair color - you would never know I had such a mess of shades before. The color and quality of the work are so much better than I had thought. I went to the Ouidad website looking for a local Ouidad Cetrtified salon to give me the signature Ouidad curly cut and style. I was very happy to find one that was about 15 minutes away from me in Berlin, NJ. 91 South is a cute, trendy little salon that is located right on the White Horse Pike. I got there promptly at 11 AM for my appointment and waited about 5 minutes for Stephanie, my stylist. We spoke for a few moments about how I care for my hair normally, what I use in it, and when I last had it cut. She left me in the capable hands of the wash girl who gave me a great scalp massage and used the Ouidad deep conditioner and put me under the dryer. The whole time, Stephanie kept coming back to check on me, asking if I had any questions or wanted a drink or anything. After my 20 minutes of deep conditioning under the dryer, Stephanie took me to her chair and worked magic on my hair! I wasn't worried for a moment! She used all of the Ouidad products and explained what they were doing and how they worked and then showed me how to complete the same look at home. I never in 26 years have seen my curls so soft, bouncy and shiny! I would reccomend the salon and Stephanie to ANY ONE. She does a great job with any hair type but she told me all of her clients that day were Ouidad clients. I need to make an appointment to go back for color in a few weeks. WORST HAIR CUT I HAVE EVERY RECEIVED IN MY LIFE BY THE STYLIST NAMED LEXI. I have spent years growing my hair out and perfecting it as it's a great pride to finally get your hair how you've always wanted. It's sad to see a salon that claims to have the same passion for curly hair mess it up this badly. This is my first and last visit and I wish I could take it back. I showed a picture reference of the slight layers I wanted to have added. The stylist asked me if I wanted to keep my length I said YES. She said I may have to trim the ends. Ok I've had trims before and 3-4 inches is a bit drastic. I will attach pictures to show you my trauma once I saw what was done I had a loss for words and hoped maybe it was the shrinkage or the fact that it was still wet but my hair was also long when wet as well. They tried to convince me it was just the shrinkage why my hair looked so short. Very disrespectful as you could clearly see it was now above my shoulders when it used to be basically near my armpits. I had no words and was frantically calling friends/family to ask if it was just me I couldn't wait to get out of there to play with it to asses the damage. I was very polite and informed the stylist that I wasn't mad just severely disappointed. After really taking a look at home and trying to style any way I can to make it work I am now outraged. I can not even put my hair in any hairstyle I used to be able to do . My hair is a mix of different curl types for reference but generally looser curls on top and tighter curls underneath because I have a lot of thickness. The stylist kept saying she wanted to add volume but my hair clearly had it already and definitely had enough hair to achieve the style I wanted. I didn't know someone could butcher it this bad. Very scissor happy. Everyone that has seen me afterwards says I don't even look like myself now all I can do is grow it out and wait, I'll be lucky if it's the same by this time next year. ALSO they even had the audacity to try to sell me hair products after I stated I was unhappy and wanted to leave. Lol a joke. Lexi gave me and my mom curly cuts that we both were super pleased with. I've had 2 or 3 curly cuts before and was super disappointed in the results. But not with this one. She's super knowledgeable on curly hair. She took the time to explain how and why she was cutting my hair the way she did. She also took the time to explain the products she was using on my hair and how I should use them at home. My curls have never looked better. I went into this salon this December. My father gave me a hair appointment at a salon of my choice, and I read about 91 South (good reviews on Yelp), so I went in. I wanted to get the ombre style highlights. I haven't really ever done the salon thing, and I told my hairdresser that. Everyone was really nice and sweet. The ambiance of the place was great, as well, and they gave out free coffee and treats. But the hair coloring was not what I wanted, at all. The girl bleached my ends to a bright bright blonde. As soon as I told her it was too much, she put a few additional colors over it to get rid of the blonde. The kicker -- when I read prices online, I noticed that a highlight or color was about $60, so that's what I was expecting. I had never been to a salon before (which she knew) so I had NO idea that an ombre style would total to over $200. Not only did she NOT tell me about all the stuff ombre includes, she charged me for the corrective color. Two months later, my hair is basically half blonde, half dark brown. I noticed this right after, but I've been able to cover it up by putting my hair half-up half-down. I'm really unsatisfied with the final product and lack of communication on behalf of my hairdresser, when she had known that I was a newbie in the salon world. read more

Danny makes me look like a handsome man and the staff is as friendly as you could hope for being a seasoned patron. The ambiance is that of a modern, city salon. Made an appointment here in January for the day before Easter. I had used a specific stylist before and wanted to make sure I saw her. Drove an hour from PA and confirmed my appointment earlier in the week. When I got here they had me booked for 2am instead of 2pm. I was told I could come back an hour later and then they called and said I couldn't be seen at 3pm either. Eventually they dumped me off on someone else. I could have just had my hair done by a stranger closer to home. They also charged me full price and showed no real sympathy for their mistake. read more

I was looking for a Ouidad certified or salon specializing in curly hair. I was visiting in the area for my son's wedding. They were friendly on the phone and I booked a hair styling and make up appointment for the special day. They were very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable - even though I did not do any pretest or show them a picture of what I wanted. Their knowledge of curly hair was excellent and I was extremely happy with the results. I got rave reviews at the wedding. I had never had professional make up before and I was so pleased with the results. Just enough to enhance and make my eyes stand out as well as even out my skin tones and add color. Not heavy make up and so well done. I was happy looking in the mirror and the pictures turned out great! Very pleased. I recommend this salon. They listen to you and deliver. I went to Suede Salon in Marlton because my friend went there and told me to try it so I did. Well I shouldn't of because they destroyed my hair it was so choppy and uneven and gave me blonde highlights instead of caramel but thanks to Sage she fixed everything!
