I went to Smart Style salon in Walmart Texarkana, Arkansas. The day was Tuesday, April 14th,, 2026. I told the black lady that was already washing an older white lady's hair I wanted my long hair cut off. I also mentioned to NOT use any clippers. She said OK. I waited about 30 minutes and another black lady come. She the one who cut my hair. At the end, she used clippers behind my ears and in back of my head anyway. I told her not to because clippers had never touched my head. They said my price was $32. I paid them $50 which means they got an $18 tip. This was only because my hair was really long. I don't like the fact the salon was not all that clean. Hair was under all the chairs. Dust was in the place. And they had the nerve to act like the white small bag I sit on was nasty. I brought the bag brand new from my home, never used. I had on either new clothing or just come out of dry cleaners. I tried to report this incident to Smart Style customer service online. IF the complaint went through, it's been over a week and nobody has emailed or called to apologize. Next time I come, please have the place clean. And never try to put clippers in my hair again. I have seen many pros use a COMB AND SCISSORS ONLY to achieve the same results. Plus she run those clippers over part of my face. I AM A WOMAN. Not a male. I don't want side burns, a beard, or any of that type of stuff. Using clippers leads to those types of issues. Listen to the customer. Because I am over 50 yrs old and this the first time EVER I have worn my hair cut low and not long... it's due to health issues. I was in that salon after 11pm but before 12noon. Thanks. read more
