This is a complaint: unfortunately I was unable to even get a haircut at your place of business, and after today I will unfortunately never come back to a smart style again. I've done business with you before, like you guys, and have recommended your services to a number of people I know. Now I will be not only a detractor, but a pesky one. I will personally tell as many people as I can about this awful experience today. Usually I'm not like this, but today was different for a number of reasons.1) my father in law passed & so this time period has been extremely stressful & today no different 2) my birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to get cleaned up real quick 3) being late was out of my control 4) as a result I will not be able to get my haircut before I needed it done as after I called and drove around after the fact, every other salon was closing or already booked etc.
What happened: I was late to my appointment at 4:30pm. Although I was late due to walmart employees (as I was dropping off my car for an oil change) and things out of my hands, I understood when the stylist took someone when I wasn't there at exactly 4:30. I arrived to the check it right before 4:45. The stylist Melissa informed me that I was late, and due to that, Taylor the stylist I was waiting for, had to take someone before me. I told her what had happened in the back of the store as I actually arrived before my scheduled appt time, but that I understood and thanked her for reminding me about my tardiness (which you could tell she didn't like)
She told me I could have a seat while I waited. So I grabbed a drink in the store and took a seat. As the haircut before me was coming to an end I gathered my things to be called next.
Next thing I know however, is that Taylor is calling someone else back for their appointment!? So, I went to Melissa to ask what happened as I had been waiting? She told me that because I was late, and she had an appointment after me, that I now had to wait until after that next person as well..
After I asked her if that how that's how that went, she continued to inform me that "maybe I should be on time next time and that she's just a new stylist so she doesn't know"....
So I continued by asking for her supervisors number, I called, turns out she just gave me the stores number. Once I spoke with her again I asked for the corporate number/contact info and she said she couldn't give that to me either.. so I told her I'd google it and hung up.
First off I'm curious how long until the stylist can determine I'm a no show and give up my appointment?
Next I just want you to know how livid I am. And really over a haircut? This should not have made me this upset, & yet it has. The part that really gets at me is 2 things: 1)the non participation of Taylor- she's a senior stylist, and if she was going to skip me(which she knew she was gonna do) then she should have at least looked at me/acknowledged that she would get me right after this next customer or something at least! Not just me having to go figure it out after the fact.
And 2) Melissa's face of satisfaction she had when she told me I would have to wait again after this next customer and that maybe I shouldn't be late. First off being fault was out of my control which sucks, but two, EVEN IF SHES RIGHT, customer service MATTERS.
That's it. Good luck. You've lost my business. read more
